Not very pleasant. Felt uneasy and intimidated by less than respectful Raiders fans. Waited for a long time in line for the washroom only to be cut in front of by neck tattooed dope smoking hoods, or wannabe gangsters who watched Colors or Training Day too many times. I'm assuming a baseball game would be more enjoyable, but I'm not inclined to make the trip back.
Grew up going to games here. Saw Rickey brake the stolen base record on my birthday. Old and needs to be replaced but still
Home of the A's and the Raiders play here too, what's not to love!?
Decent stadium, parking is a disaster, especially getting out after the game
I attended an A's game and the experience was incredible. The places were excellent and the game was very exciting. Then there was a Star Wars show with fireworks and we were able to go down to the pitch. A marvel.
Crowded yes, but excited moments from Oakland A's versus the Giants.... two thumbs way up!!
It's a nostalgic place for me. I learned to love the Raiders since late seventies.
The best clean sets great place to enjoy a live game
It was BUSY, SO busy and noisy. People were going here and there.
Oakland A s baby!! Not the best though lets be real.
I went to The Who at the former Oakland Coliseum, now known as the Oracle Arena, on February 1, 2013 with a friend and she and I both agree that the sound was THE WORST of any concert we've seen in our lives. (We are both in our early forties -- she's 40 and I'm 44 -- and we have each seen hundreds, if not a thousand, concerts in our lives.)
We purchased tickets for the 200 section but when we got to the seats we noticed that there were NO SPEAKERS in the entire upper balcony area. The music sounded like it was being played on a transistor radio sitting in a fish bowl in another room.
The irony, of course, is that The Who set records as The Loudest Band In The World and the people in our section were yelling "TURN IT UP!"
Eventually, more than halfway through the show, we decided to mutiny. The sound was better standing next to the concession stand in the hallway than it was in our seats. Once we heard how good the band was sounding to those people within a direct line of the speakers, we opted to go down into the lower level and risk getting scolded by ushers rather than wait another ten years for The Who to tour the U.S. again. In the lower level the band sounded great, the lights looked great and it was everything a Who concert deserved to be.
We both felt it totally unconscionable for the venue to even sell seats with sound that bad. We also recognized that since the new ownership of the venue where we used to see The Grateful Dead for many a terrific show, not only has the sound quality worsened considerably, but the size of the seats has shrunk considerably. The aisles are thinner, the hallways are thinner, everything seems geared towards more corporate box seats, more herd animal treatment of the crowd and less consideration of the experience of the audience members. In other words, we felt like we were consumers being sold a product, not valued attendees whose experience was of any consideration whatsoever.
If I return to this venue, I'm going to look closely at the seating chart before I buy a ticket. Some seats in this venue simply should not be sold unless the venue wires speakers on the upper level.
Had a great time, especially since the Raiders won. But yeah...they need a new stadium. Prior to this game, I can't remember the last time I used a trough urinal!
I love my old ballpark. Perfect location. Lots if available transportation. Perfect lot for tailgating.
Easy parking. Good wine. Good seating. Great experience.
This place is Awesome!! Got to see Karr blow a win by fumbling a game winning touchdown out the back of the end zone. From many cowboy fans. Thanks yo!!!
I've been here many times and it never disappoints. Always depends on your seats
Old stadium, with very few fans. Nice field though, and a lot of history to take in.
One of the oldest venues around and it shows. The only negative thing I would say is that their beer selection is sub par.
One of the best crowd atmospheres. That park feels like baseball of old. It gets crowded in the corridors though and it's tough to navigate.
The food is too overpriced but the seats were great
Great stadium with fantastic fans. One of my favorite baseball parks. Go A's!!!!
Watching the A's play is always great because the excitement of the fans resounds across the stadium. I've seen the Harlem Globetrotters and a number of concerts, and the seats always afford good visibility of the event.
The A's stadium is one of the oldest in the country but in recent years the marketing team has done a great job of making the stadium a fun, inviting place for fans of all ages to hang out and enjoy the game. There are tons of food options, drink options, and place to hang out during the game. They have several general admission areas as well as a kids area, so there are lots of options for fans of any age.
I have no issues with O.Co. it is old school. Easy access off Bart
Went to see the Oakland A's on the 3rd of July. Which was extra special as they had the 4th July fireworks display. Great atmosphere, plenty of food choices and venues so you never have to wait that long getting out of the car park was slow after the game however this is to be expected after any sporting or music event. Advice wear Dark green and yellow.
Decent beer and food prices compared to other ballparks ($10 craft beer versus $16+ at Dodger Stadium) The Coliseum gets a lot of hate, but my only real problem with it is simply how much foul ball territory there is. Love it for football games, though. Fans can be violent, but that's not o.co's fault
I came here for Lakers game and I love it. The stadium is big. Easy to commute.
Watching the basketball games here are such a good experience. The arena itself is huge!
I enjoy coming to A's games , has a family feel here. Parking is reasonable and they let you bring in your own food and snacks. Not like AT&T or that scrappy candle stick park . If not here , Chavez Ravine in LA is where I would be.
Wonderful place to be on a sunny day. Although the A's lost the day I went there, the energy from the crowds was fantastic. Food and drinks were overpriced, but hey at least it's there.
This place is home!! Can't wait until the bathrooms are upgraded.
The Coliseum is a bad expirience, but im an A's fan.If you ever go for a visit i reccomend sitting in the right field bleachers.
The constant drumming by fans during baseball games is incredibly annoying. Not sure why it's permitted.
We got new scoreboards and ribbon boards inside the ball park now we took down the old ones and install high def ones on each end of the ball park same with the ribbon boards it is much better to watch a's baseball on the video boards especially in high def u can see all replays on there everytime I go to the ballpark I sit by the a's dugout by third Base I get round table pizza I miss the coliseum
Food was better than expected and so were the prices lol. Great game.
Park is old but the field is great and I always have a good time when I go to watch baseball.
Poor old stadium. It has seen better days but has always been one of my favorite places to see a game.
Looks like prison but feels like home. Home to the best football team The Oakland RAIDERS and my A's. Love this place
Great old stadium full of character- tailgates were one of the best in all of sport
Stadium shows it's age; the last dual sport venue; trough in men's bathrooms
Seen here:
Oakland Raiders (9/30/18) - sat in Black Hole section
Went to the Javale McGee Charity Softball game, and it was fun!
I was only there to see the Angels play , yet I'll have to say they had a Great fireworks show afterwards and you could go onto the field
Atmosphere was electric! Seats were great and easy to get to. I felt safe in an unsafe area.
Awsome place to go to an A's game or warriors game as well parking can cost alot but hey it's just sports
Easy to get A's tickets. BART station right next to the stadium. Free parking for most Tuesday games. Stadium was clean and the staff was friendly and courteous.
A's Game. Super chill and fun. Didnt have a field issue hat in 7 1/4 :(
Space to gather the best fans that the Raiders can have, but the sand is already a bit old
