Pizza wasn't up to our expectations. Just back from NYC and Oak & Rye was suggested as comparable to what we had in NYC. Not so. Crust has good flavor, but too thick and not crunchy. Prices were also very high.

Great pizza overall, and a fun selection of drinks. I generally prefer thicker crusts, but the crust here is fantastic (besides the charred bits, which I don't enjoy). The topping combinations are certainly unique, though none of them stand out to me personally.

This is a go-to for us, at least once a month. They take great care to make interesting and creative Pizza and cocktails. Definitely try the Scottie 2 Hottie. Also their classes/tastings on various spirits are fun and informative.

Love this place. Moved away from LG last fall and miss it! My husband and I used to be regulars. Scotty 2 hottie, fried chicken, brussel sprout salad, gnocchi, soft pretzel, blood mary and many other cocktails: all stellar. Might be my favorite restaurant ever.

Came here for my birthday last year and have been craving their cocktail and pizza.

So came back for lunch! The pizza here is divine. It s thin crust but almost a nnan texture. Soft and pushes back on your teeth. The different options, even the vegetarian ones are nice (coming from a meat eater). Definitely worth making the trip to Los Gatos just to go.

At Oak & Rye you will always have to wait before be seated. I came here few times now and now it looks to me that this is how they work. My party of 2 had to wait 20 minutes on a Monday at 1:30 pm to be seated on the patio on the seats available since we arrived.
Other than this the food is very good, not a lot of items on the menu, but what they have is very good. We had pizza and it is delicious, great napoletana crust ( thin and chewy) and unique toppings, not the traditional ones.

Went while visiting friends in the area, and it was the bomb! The Scotty 2 Hottie was the star, but the jack Burton and the margharita we're both very good. Broccolini was well prepared and nice starter option. Simple but effective draft options, as well as a large bottle selection to supplement. Of course an excellent wine menu as well. The arugala salad is a very popular option with the locals. Crust was perfectly prepared. If you want 'za don't dink around with anywhere else when in the Los Gatos area.

The pizza was very good, one of the best tasting neapolitan style pizzas imo. I also had a mulled wine, which was very good. Service was a bit slow considering the cook time for this style of pizza is very quick. After putting in our order, we sat down, waited about 30 minutes for our order. One pizza arrived and we waited for the second one, but it never came. I did my calculations and realized that the hostess did not ring me up for the other pizza, so I had to go back to put the order in. It took about 40 additional minutes. Price was a bit steep though and together with drinks, tax and mandatory gratuity, came out to about $40 a person, which is about double what we will normally will pay for a pizza night out, but it was really good, so I can only complain a little. I would go back, but not often.

Even with COVID, this is the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. Paper plates, wood forks, food served in togo boxes, plastic cups for beer or drinks. All this for $65 dollars and a mandatory 18% tip. But wait, you also have to buss your table. With so many choices in town and DoubleD's right down the street doing it right, I will not be returning.

One of my favorite pizza restaurant. Love the thin crust and tasty dough. All the pizza are great. Additionally, all of the appetizers that I have tried were all delicious. I have been there probably over 10 times now and it has not disappointed me yet.

I'm vegan and there were clearly ways that they could have accommodated me but they refused. I am really disappointed in their lack of ability or willingness to adjust menu items to support vegan options. I won't go back--not because they didn't have vegan options (which nowadays should be normal) but because they wouldn't adapt to help me eat. I left hungry.

Just a quick update to give Laura a shout out. She's a relatively new employee who has the best customer service EVER.

This lady has an energy that is ridiculously infectious. Went above and beyond for us to ensure we were well taken care of.

I love you Laura.

Oak & Rye is one of the more unique takes on Italian food, and one of the better places to dine in LG. Great dinner menu but also an amazing brunch menu with exciting choices like the fried chicken and biscuits.

Very slow service. They did not come for our drink order for at least 15 minutes. Our food arrived five minutes before our drinks. Not sure if they would have arrived then if we had not have asked. However the pizza was amazing!

Overpriced, the wine started at $14 a glass and the food quality and small portions didn't match the cost. The salmon was a bit tasteless and the fingerling potatoes were overcrisped, basically french fries.

Food and drinks are great, but limited shade outside (just a few umbrellas that don't cover the tables completely) makes for an uncomfortable lunch on warm days. Would go back again, but will be sure to sit inside next time.

Well this review is long overdue. Been coming her for the past 3 yrs -probably my fav go to pizza place in Los Gatos. Pizzas are meticulously crafted and quality has always been consistent and unique topping combinations. Love the warm homemade olives. Pics shown here are frmo the weekend brunch menu - speckled hen and commissioner Gordan. Both excellent pizzas. Price is a bit on the higher side but totally worth it! A must try if you in the neighborhood.

I normally would have given five stars on this review. As the pizza here and drinks are Second To None. The owner is a super cool dude and they're in a really prime location. Great for happy hours and snacks. However, on her most recent visit we had a pizza delivered to our table that look like it had been thrown together. And when we asked the waiter about it he flatly remarked, what do you want me to do about it? Then he brought over a manager who was even more rude. Later on we were essentially asked to leave after spending close to $400 in order to make space for incoming patrons. I've never heard of such a thing. We went on to another spot, and when we came back we were treated extremely rude again. I'll probably be waiting until they find new staff members before returning. As I do really love the food.

Horrible service.

Horrible service.
Waited 55 min to be seated after being told the wait would be 25 min and didn't realize we had been passed up several times until the couple we were chatting to (who arrived after us) got called before us. We somehow were marked as "incomplete" and "would need to wait another 20 min" because there was nothing they could do. Our names were never called. I never received a text message letting me know our table was ready. No notification whatsoever. I'm not sure if you discounted our toddler as the third person in our party and that's why your host or hostess marked us as incomplete but in my opinion, this is absolutely unacceptable so we left and ended up eating at a latin place down the street. In retrospect, we're not the only family this happened to. I should have read the signs when a pregnantly lady with her toddler and husband also walked away frustrated after waiting for a table. You guys seriously need to rethink your customer service strategy.

This was our favorite restaurant addition when it first opened in Late 2013 - it was sooo different from the date and less-than-exciting restaurant scene in Los Gatos. This place felt plucked out of SF or NY and an awesome 80s vibe wrapped up with natural hard wood, glass, and a wood fired pizza oven covered in pennies. The food was unique and excellent at the time. They had it all.

Ordered the chicken and pancake and the Speckled Hen pizza. Didn't order any alcoholic beverages, but the beer selection was on the smaller side (4-8 taps) but featured local beers. The chicken and pancake had a great portion size, and the chicken/pancakes were very well made. The pizza had a nice smoky flavor and a thin but chewy crust.

Happened on this place for Sunday brunch by chance today. Let me tell you... It's amazing.

Not your traditional lunch/breakfast brunch place.... But it works! We family styled: seared broccolini, pancakes, fried chicken and biscuits and a margarita pizza... Washed down with several breakfast cocktails...

Brilliant! Could possibly use a dash more salt, but that's literally everything!
