I have had an absolutely wonderful experience at Nutrition Authority. I began working with the staff here several years ago and they are incredibly knowledgeable, kind and genuinely interested in helping you reach your goals. They are always up to date with the latest nutritional research and help you to understand the reasoning behind certain food choices. I have seen huge improvements in my health while working with Nutrition Authority and highly recommend them to anyone, any age, any nutrition related situation!
Being a single man in my 50's I eat the same as I always have but I started putting on a few pounds, and had less energy, so I thought I would try a RDN, and it was eye opening, I am not on a diet, I learned more about food, And I have lost those extra pounds, and I have more energy,,,visiting my RDN turned my life around,,,,Thank you
Nutrition Authority has been a amazing place to work with, I have been seeing Madison for about 2 months now and she is so amazing to work with she pushes me each week to give the best that I can and most importantly hold me to my goals. I have had time where I wanted to give up and not answer my call each week but I new that she is a big supporter and looks forward to seeing the progress I make! I definitely recommend to anyone struggling with daily life style change or just trying to get back on track to see Madison!
Prior to starting my sessions, Nutriton Authority had to verify my insurance which I received an email that I had unlimited visits and that I was covered 100%. I started services in February of 2021 and had 4-5 sessions. After my last session, I received an email and call advising that there was an issue with both of my insurances. The issue was that both of my insurances were pointing fingers at each other and saying that they were not the primary insurance and that the other was. I was asked to contact my insurance company and request a coordination of benefits (which I did). I thought everything was taken care of until I received a voicemail from Brooke stating that she had been trying to get a hold of me because she still had not received payment and that the message that she was leaving was the final message and that she was sending me to collections (remind you, I never received a bill). Brooke also stated on the voicemail that the collections would hurt me from getting a new car, an apartment and buying a home. Brooke also stated that I benefited from 5 sessions and that I needed to pay what I owed. Brooke spoke to me on the voicemail as if I am someone who does not pay her bills and as if I have, never owned anything such as a car, house or rented an apartment. Brooke was completely out of line for leaving that message on my phone. I called Brooke immediately after listening to the voicemail and told her to just send me the bill and I would pay for it. I also explained to Brooke that I have two very good insurances and I am not sure what the problem was. Brooke then had the audacity to tell me Molina is not good insurance. (Molina is a state Medicaid insurance). I quickly told her that I don t have Molina state insurance but work for the company. Brooke treated me as if I was some person on state insurance. I don t care what kind of insurance someone has; it was very unprofessional for her to belittle the insurance that she thought I had. I will be paying this bill once she sends it to me and will work on getting reimbursed from my insurance carriers. I will NEVER go back to Nutrition Authority after this last conversation. People like Brooke need a reality check and learn not to judge people. Brooke, you don t know me or know what I have or own. For you to try to belittle me was uncalled for and very unprofessional on your end. I hope someone reads this especially, someone who has state insurance. I am sure that you treat people who have commercial insurance better than folks who are covered by state insurance. If I could give this place a negative 0 rating I would!
My experience with Nutrition Authority was positive, the dietitians gave me the knowledge and courage to change my nutrition choices in an easy and simple to understand way. After making just a few changes in my diet I am feeling healthier and better about myself. I am encouraged to continue receiving counseling on a weekly basis, that are very kind and patient with me.
My dietician gave good practical advice on how to change my eating habits and was very encouraging and supportive. They really helped me!
After a lifelong struggle to lose weight and keep it off (I d usually gain it all back plus some) I finally experienced how to permanently keep most of my weight loss (65#) off for good. I met up with my own personal nutritionist once a week for several months. Talk about an eye-opening experience! She helped me learn healthier food options for my pantry, my fridge, my freezer, my snack choices and when eating out. I THOUGHT I knew all there was to know about nutrition but there was soooo much I didn t know. I was humbled in a really good way ;) And insurance covered 100% for every visit (except I had a small copay). Why didn t I meet with a dietitian years ago?
First few minutes was upsetting then I realized I was hearing the most current info that really could help me. Learned a lot over the next weeks. Time I spent here was great investment. No regrets, just success. Will do again next year.
