Nuremore Hotel ****& Country Club, Carrickmacross, Ireland Review

Lovely hotel staff so friendly, food very good, room very spacious, clean and comfy. The heat in the room was almost unbearable only downside to our stay. Otherwise will defo be back.

Very low quality rooms need to invest some money in refurbs to maintain standard staff very helpful and friendly

Pleasant surroundings and very helpful staff. Nice bar menu but there is also a restaurant that enjoys a good reputation & stocks excellent wines.

Receptionist was so lovely when we arrived, the spa was amazing had 2 lovely treatments and the Jacuzzi and sauna were fabulous. Dinner was absolutely fantastic and we had a beautiful breakfast to finish off our stay.

You can golf,swim and even stay at the hotel and they have a lake with ducks in them

But late writing a review but I've been travelling throughout and better late then never! Stayed in December a friend of mine treated us to a weekend away! Friends trip.
Nice hotel.
Quiet and tranquil.
Good parking facilities. (Free)
Grounds are huge.
You can walk up a trail path to lakes. We'd a view from the room.
Comfortable bed.
Strong wifi.
Food was good.
Lounge had a nice atmosphere! Reception staff.... ok. But not very attentive to customer needs.
The Christmas grotto was extremely good and especially for kids.
I Would visit again in the future as I did like the hotel.

Always loved the hotel for it's relaxed friendly atmosphere.

I have been staying at the Nuramore for more years than I want to count and as always the Food was fantastic and staff are so friendly and helpful.
But sadly the hotel needs a makeover as it's decor and furnishings look tired and worn out.
A bit more attention to the weeds and general appearance of the shrubbery on the lower outside seating area would be good.
I would like to go back but based on the present appearance and cost I would probably stay in a more up to date hotel.

Rang up this morning to try and book a hotel room for a family members spoke to a girl called Eloise she just laughed and said the hotel is closed you know if I had of known I would not have rang the hotel there is other hotels close by which are still opening an if she had of said I'm sorry we're closed at the start of the call I could have understood but I will not be back near that hotel and specially when she is very ignorant I wouldn't be back her customer leave a lot to be desert

It's a nice place, old fashion but very quiet. Breakfast was nice good variety of food.

Went here for lunch today. The hotel has gone to great lengths to ensure both their staff and clients were are safe from getting/spreading COVID. First place I've gone since the outbreak and was comfortable with the measures taken. Great service from the staff too

The hotel setting was great, the amenities were very good, the food both in the restaurant and bar were excellent, the staff were very helpful and very friendly couldn t do enough for you, we would definitely stay again, the room had a slight damp smell due to a leaking shower, but not enough to make it unpleasant all in all an excellent stay.

Nice golf course.If you walking be prepared...a lot longer and harder to walk than you would think.Maybe rent a buggy(Note to self for next time)
A few boring holes but in general a pleasant course and will go again.
Bar closes early so if you play in the evening go up to the hotel for a cold beer afterwards.

Clean good service,. Used to do a very nice pulled pork on sour dough but not in a while,. Good place for a meal and relaxing few drinks, you're not rushed.

Was at a xmas party food basic advertise cocktail on arrival mull wine is not a cocktail

Attended a conference here didn't stay but a nice setting everything looked fine the food I had was good.

Lovely place great food and nice staff the disabled toilet was a disappointment though hence the 3 stars

Very nice establishment, very quiet, a little old, some renovations to provide. Golf, swimming pool, hammam, ... many services offered. Staff listening. I recommend it.

We had a truly great time, staff are so nice and helpful. Beautiful surroundings and the foid was fabulous!! Deffo going back!

Stayed here for a wedding what a amazing place staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasent owners should be very proud of them all. Beautiful place I highly recommend

A beautiful hotel and country club set in some beautiful gardens. We stayed when they reopened after lock down and although we've had a different hotel experience than before (no housekeeping, screens everywhere, floor markers), we're very happy to see these policies in place and appreciate their care. Thank you Nuremore!

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great quality

Rooms is not as nice as on picks really. Just regular standard. Food was just ok and staff cold and not really that helpfull

The bar food is tasty and of a high quality. The staff are very helpful as we often have our baby daughter with us.the hotel is child friendly

Would never go back. The entire hotel need a good facelift. The staff were very unhelpful. The room was clean, but like something out of the 70's. Got lunch there, it was dreadful. Had dinner, cost 100eu!! For dreadful food. Felt so sick, only ate a bit of chicken. Never again. Next break, the Carrickdale hotel

Was in the nuremore for a birthday party. There were about 50+ of us. The food was amazing and the service excellent.

The hotel is definitely suited for weddings but if you want anything more upmarket I would not recommend. Check what you are booking as suites are just a room with a fancier name.

Excellent service, clean and comfortable with excellent facilities

I enjoyed two nights in the Nuremore enjoying the helpfulness & friendliness of staff, the quietness of bedroom area, the spaciousness of lounge & bar area, the wide choice of delicious food on bar menu & high standard of cleanliness. I look forward to a return visit.
