Quiet during the day, great place to study. good food and drinks

Lovely little theater with some great shows by both local and well-known people. Prices for tickets, food and drink are reasonable.

Great little theatre for seeing amateur and professional productions, as well as some great, high profile stand up comedians. Generally much cheaper and more diverse than the Mayflower.

Been twice and loved it both times. Only draw back is, as with most theatres, lack of toilets and not enough people on the ice cream stalls!

Lovely little venue! Great for taking young children to see some amazing shows.

Nice theatre. Traditional feeling. Most performances we have seen here have been of a high standard.

Small scale theatre but ambitious productions. Professional but retains a friendliness and accessibility.

We went to see a great show " Reasons to be Cheerful " noisey and raucous and funny.

Great for seeing less mainstream and smaller productions, so always keep an eye out on what they've got coming up.

Went to see the Spitfire Sisters. Great theatre wonderful staff and so glad it is still going after all these years I remember going here when I was a child. Absolutely fabulous.

Nice place to enjoy plays and music shows in Southampton, especially suitable for family.

Latest visit was The Comedy Bar: Big Gig. Great Acts, Great Venue and seats are comfortable. Queue for beer can be quite long during the interval but you'll get served before the second half, reasonably priced too.

Always enjoy visiting. Great shows. Accessible facilities. Good variety of shows for everyone. Easy to find. Lots of parking.

Although it looks quite small from the outside the auditorium is surprisingly large. Seating is quite comfortable, although legroom is a bit limited. Catering facilities are reasonably priced. The programme is a varied mix of smaller professional productions and local amateur groups, with a variety of plays and concerts.

Fabulous venue. Had never been there until 1.5 years ago (been in Area for over 10 years), now, have been about 7 times!

Very nice, seats comfy. Although avoid row Q if you have legs longer than a small child. As most of the seats in this row are behind a solid wall!!

We went to the Nuffield Theatre to see the 'Snow Queen' for our pre-Christmas family get-together. The family included adults and children aged from 7 to 14. The show was excellent and everyone enjoyed it - favourite characters were the crow and the reindeer. The Nuffield Christmas show never disappoints!

Watched Friendsical last night at the Nuffield theatre. A brilliant show and an excellent venue! The Nuffield is now on my list of places to visit again!

The theatre isn't great. It needs a modern refresh in general. However, the plays offered are very good, which brings 3 stars for the environment to 4 for the plays.

I've been here twice recently to see shows. Very limited parking but there is a lot of building work underway so i don't know if that will improve things. Get there early and use the nearby car park.

Excellent little theatre run by volunteers and a great team at University of Southampton. Good priced shows too.

The Night Sky. .
I CANNOT fault the Nuffield (City) venue. I have been there a number of occasions & the staff are faultless, the venue itself is well maintained, clean and comfortable.
But last night's show The Nights Sky was one of the mostsb boring experiences Ive ever had the chance to sit through. It was a film about the galaxy with man with cold doimg a voiceover. He might be a lovely man but it was not worth the money..

Performed on stage for the first time here and loved every second of it. Brilliant atmosphere, engagement staff are all friendly and helpful.

Simply the most uncomfortable theatre experience I ve ever had, zero leg-room, expect pain and discomfort. Only two rows have acceptable space and even their seats are too close together.

I don't know about the female Toilets, but what's up with the foul stench in the men's loo, it was like rotten broccoli mixed with gone of cheese and eggs, i assure you it was bad I nearly threw up. It's a shame really as the facilities are to a nice standard yet not clean.

Nice little theatre with a big heart. The acoustics are really good. The seats are more comfortable than I expected. The few performances I have seen here have been very good. The atmosphere is fun. A nice selection of food and drinks available. I would recommend a visit.

A good regional theatre with some good productions staged in a pleasant environment, but parking can be hard work. Particularly if trying to collect tickets prior to the performance, during University hours...

Lovely theatre, but restricted views in several seats

Just brilliant. We saw fantastic Mr fox at Christmas and was blown away by the quality of the performance.

Really comfortable seats and sound good in the few places I have sat. Great service from staff. Stalls floor mostly flat though.

Cosy theater with fantastic performance and great staff. Very affordable.
