Lovely hotel.
Welcoming and attentive staff.

No other word to describe the behavior of the staff of the novotel le Mans.
After a more than deplorable welcome (barely a good evening or a smile by the man at the reception), we arrived in a cramped and dark room and subsequently a terrace next to the uncleaned swimming pool (spider webs, butts everywhere etc ...).
But our experience does not end there. On the day of check out I realize after an hour of driving that I have forgotten some clothes in the bathroom. I contacted the hotel directly, which replied curtly that they were not from the cleaning department and that I should not have left my things there and that I would do better to check again. 1st shock.
2nd shock, when I contacted the hotel again 1 hour later, to confirm, that no, I don't have my things and that I know they remained in the bathroom of our room. Once again a person tells me that it is not his job but is absolutely not able to give me the person to contact.
Third shock, when I called for more than 3 days non-stop and at no time did a person make the effort to look, or even to be pleasant on the phone, quite the contrary. A harsh response, rude politeness, and even once someone told me I could complain but it wouldn't change a thing.
Well even if it's useless, I prefer to warn users.
At 150 euros per night FLEEZ ladies and gentlemen!

from the hotel good access to the center of La Mans by tram. ticket vending machines at bus stops. I recommend family tickets. In the hotel, you can fry the egg yourself in a frying pan. amenities by the pool, extra towels. A bar with drinks.

Clean and welcoming hotel (except windows), with swimming pool. At the restaurant, very good hearty dishes but catastrophic organization

Relaxed.
Pros: pool open until 9pm, ideal to get kids tired. Hotel clean. Very tranquil inside the hotel albeit the surrounding neighborhood looks suspect with surrounding tower blocks. Staff are polite and very committed. Kids meals went down well.
Con (singular): Adult meals so so. Black burger new to me (the menu gave no further description), and I didnt demerit for this, but avoid it unless you know you like them, black bread is wierd.

Comfortable bedding, poorly soundproofed rooms, especially when your neighbors have decided to party!

On a business trip, very surprised by the service ... no cleaning of the rooms (nor equipment provided) under cover of sanitary measures ... 4-day stay with meals in the room

Red hat no drawers as my grandma would say. On the face of it, looks wonderful however, massive smart TV but only a single French channel, free breakfast for the kids but queues for 20 minutes and still not given a table and so on. Disappointing

Only stayed for a night. Looked very busy with tourists in transit across France. Spacious and reasonably clean room. Even the sofa bed was comfy.
Hotel doesn't have a traditional reception desk. Only a floating concierge which was interesting. Decor in the lobby makes you feel like in an ikea store.
Haven't used any of the catering. But it looked good if a little pricey.

Very good, but we must wait until the end of the work to fully enjoy the place.

I stayed one night at the Novotel. I was very disappointed with the services that are usually very upscale at the Novotel. I was awakened at 5:30 without being able to go back to sleep, through the doors of the rooms that slam constantly. Actually the simple closing system is not obvious when you leave the room. Bathroom very average: plastic bath, probably dating from the creation of the hotel, shower curtain in which you have to wind! Toilet bowl very gray. Breakfast not very good: pastries not dating the day, cold pancakes, buffet unrepaired at 8:30 am. I reported the problem of noise and I was told that no one complained !! Do not deserve 4 stars ..

For a 4-star hotel, the room was not clean (dust, hair, hair), in addition to the context of the current health crisis.
We had booked 2 nights and suddenly we had to cancel because we were very poorly received. We had reserved a table at the hotel restaurant and once we arrived, we had to insist and call the waitress several times to get our order, as a result we were served last because other customers who arrived after us were served before us. without them having to lift a finger. Complete lack of organization, it felt like it was the first shift of their life. In addition, there is a total lack of transparency and consistency in terms of service such as breakfast in the room, which according to the receptionist they do not do but which is clearly included in the possible services. Go figure it out. It's scandalous ! Frankly, this is not a 4 star, more a 2.5 star. Avoid if you are looking for a 4 star hotel worthy of the name because it is not. We do not recommend it.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Double door very appreciable for a maximum of calm in the room. VMC off and fridge off (or so little sound that I have not heard). Clean room. Two black spots nonetheless: the bedding: 2 beds in 70 joined together to make a 140, it's been a long time since I had had this! I spent a good part of the night sleeping in the gap between the two beds. @Novotel you know that now the new mattresses do not move like springs when your spouse moves on the other side of the bed is not it? ... :), so no need to put two mattresses together one to the other other, just change mattresses. Also the outer door does not close completely all alone (normal according to the reception to avoid locking you out). However, as in most hotels today the doors are closed automatically, if you are used you probably do not have the reflex to check that your door is closed. Indeed in case you forget your key inside your room the reception can open the door, so I do not understand the usefulness of this system. You just risk the theft of your belongings, your room remaining open ... First novotel in which I go down who is equipped with this weird system. The friendliness of the staff is therefore the level of the few choices of design and development debatable.

We had a weekend with family, 2 adults and 3 children. There is no family room on the other hand we could benefit from 50% discount on the second room. Breakfasts are offered for children under 16 years old. The staff is extremely pleasant (if not an exception!), The spacious and very well equipped rooms (special mention for bedding a real dream!) The bar offers the opportunity to spend a pleasant time while the children play in a space dedicated to them. The restoration will not remain the strong point but I must put a special mention to the breakfast which is gargantuan, varied and adapted to different diets (vegetarian, gluten free). I loved.

Warm and designer reception area and restaurant. However, the rooms should be restored to harmonize everything. Small maintenance faults spoil everything a bit.

I would not stay in a hotel it does not fit my expectations (bathroom) of a hotel it's good for the budget

The Hotel is Lalalala ...., could be much better, is not really worthy of a Novotel star.

Very good, the rooms are big, the bathrooms also, there is ping pong .. the pool is just a little narrow.

The hotel is in an area that does not make you want to admit it, not much around but a tram stop 100m away. It is convenient.
The interior has been updated for the public areas, the sofas and resting area around the bar are comfortable.
The room was large and well appointed. Carpet worn but that didn't bother me.
The corridors on the other hand are very dated.
The restaurant is correct, unfortunately a lot of frozen.
The reception seemed rather cold to me.

I was tired when I arrived and, having paid by internet, I had not taken my glasses; the front desk did not inform me that there were no towels in the room and I could not read the information on the desk if it was there. I was surprised by the faucet system in the bathroom but, why not; there was a leak at the sink siphon. The reception indicated the La Foresterie restaurant nearby, 3 minutes walk, which I was happy to find for dinner.

Not the best Novotel we've stayed at. Room smelled musty on arrival, something to do with the bathroom. Not the comfiest bed. But good service and breakfast.

Eklo Le Mans. Thank you to the managers of this Hotel to repair the intercom / badge reader in the car park. It has been down for 3 months.

Disappointing to have to pay extra for towels and soap.
Failure when the sink faucet is turned on, the shower head lets water flow simultaneously.
Just for one night it's convenient.
Its location is very convenient, just off the A11 motorway.

Hotel a bit older but clean welcoming staff the rooms are identical to almost all novotel double beds twin beds and convertible seats usable for young children the bathroom dates a bit but has withstood the weather very well. has a beautiful garden with children's games and a pool that deserves a more neat wintering.

On our first visit about 2 years ago we were thrilled with the concept and cleanliness.
This second time leaves us a little less satisfied.
The staff is nice and responsive.
The walls of the room are soiled, the VMC is very unpleasant: a cold draft is generated ?? Smells of cigarette circulate in the room. (We could not identify the source - sheets or VMC) but it is unpleasant especially in a non-smoking hotel.

It's good to have a place to prepare your meal or have breakfast But the pleasure is spoiled by the television which is often set too strong by the holder of the remote control.

Excellent hotel for families. Lovely pool with a good number of tables where you can have breakfast or dinner. Buffet breakfast can be a bit fraught in August due to number of English families taking an overnight stop here on way to port, but staff very quick to refill buffet items. Nice bar, spacious rooms with air con and helpful staff who speak English. Easy access by tram to Old Town - Plantagenet City.

Nice for the last days of summer access to the outdoor pool.

We had a nice stopover here for our trip. Friendly staff, nice room and beds. Breakfast was also well catered for with enough choice. We have not used the dinner here so we can not judge.

This hotel offers excellent value for money, beautiful hotel very well maintained, the quality of cleaning is impressive, the windows are nickel. Very good stay at this property and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. I will stay there again and highly recommend it.
A small improvement proposal: equip showers with a squeegee in order to evacuate water from the ground.

Free private parking. Large bedrooms. Toilets separate from the bathroom. Presence of a sofa and a real desk.

Negative point: despite the presence of a separating door between the entrance and the bedroom, the doors are very noisy when they are "slammed" (obligatory to close them ...) => being a light sleeper, I have been woken up several times and very early ...

Organized meal trays, morning and evening, during the confinement period, it is appreciable. Breakfast price a bit high.

All in all, a very decent price / quality ratio.

Room not ventilated enough. It was too hot when there was no heating and 20 degrees outside. Irrissable !! The quality of the breakfast to review for the price I already had better elsewhere. Hard bread ... no orange juice available.

Novotel of classic decoration, even a little sad. But very well air conditioned room, convenient shower and good bedding. Above all, staff at the top !! Beyond the usual professionalism of the chain. Suffering from a nasty sprain, I was taken care of with sincere kindness. Added to the calm of the room, I was able to recover to the best of my abilities, and felt less vulnerable. Hotel perfectly adapted to the handicap, even temporary. PS: excellent breakfast scones.
