We had our solar panels installed about 2 years ago. Overall, we were really pleased with the services rendered to us. As promised, our electricity bill was greatly reduced to $20-$40/month. The installation was in a timely manner and the people who worked there were very professional. I would definitely recommend Nova West Solar to those interested in solar panels.

Nova West solar installed our home solar panels and the experience went very smoothly. Salesman, Ian Rock, did an excellent job of describing how the system would work and all of our options for panel placement. The installation crew were courteous and very professional and made sure everything was working correctly. After installation, Ian returned to make sure our system was running smoothly and we were maximizing its efficiency. We were pleased with the workmanship and glad we made the right choice.

If you are looking for an established local company that is going to stick around and care about you as a customer this is the place. Ian Rock in Sales was great, he never oversold the product, and he is trustworthy. We had a ground mount with A LOT of rock in the way that was VERY challenging, but they were able to overcome that and make it happen. The installation did have some snags that really concerned me at the time. Let s just say a few items did not meet what I would say are "Nova West Standards". One of the Owners Rob became personally involved and met me in person at the property to review my concerns. They worked very hard to resolve all the issues and in the end, I am very happy. Any company can get a good review when everything goes flawlessly without a hitch. The great ones are there when things don't go as planned, stick by their customers, and have a willingness to tackle issues to make their customers happy.
If you want a team of solar guys that loves kicking the details to the curb, and pointing the finger at the next guy I highly recommend Nova West.
Jack and Andrew are never on the same page and it always seems that they have to talk with someone else, who is either in a meeting or not in the office.
And I really thought guys had their stuff together, so much that we bought a system from them several years ago.

the absolute worst.started the process in january.heard nothing from them for three months,after they cashed a 1000.00 deposit check.everytime there was any contact with them i had to call or email them,most times without a reply.they came out to meaure three times,each time with no call or explanation as to why they were here or what the issues were.when they finally started the work in late april they left trash on the lawn that i had to clean up and left hardware in my pool(screws,nuts,bolts,and washers)also that i had to remove.then there were the electrical issues that still are not resolved.i had four nieghbors that were very interested in purchasing solar panels for thier homes.i told them this company is the last company that i would reccomend.extremely disappointed with this company,sub par customer service....no make that total lack of customer service...do not use these guys.....they made me give them one star to post this
My panels were installed right on schedule. Never any issues. When I was concerned with a humming sound, they promptly came and checked it out. They are professional, personal and I higly recommend Nova West. I especially like the fact that I will own them in 10 years...not a 20 year lease to never own like so many other companies.
We have had our solar system since August and had immediate benefits from our system. I waited a while to see what my PGE bill would be and as promised by the company It has been practically nonexistent. Everything about the company was a great experience from Tony the sales rep to TJ who measures your roof to Jose and his team that installs it. We did have a couple of follow up questions that Andrew in the office answered for us. There was no mess from anyone installing the panels and they were very efficient. The whole process was very easy and everything was done according to the time frame established. I would recommend this company to anyone considering solar and I already recommended them to family members who now also have solar installed by them. I admit I was extremely hesitant about the whole process based on finances but I now feel that our family made a great decision for our future. No more monthly PGE payments and no more rising energy costs. It feels good to know I'm not dreading my summer bills anymore. Thank you nova west solar

Nova West solar is a local company with a big-business mentality. They understand everything about solar. They have a roofing contractor and a qualified electrician. The installers were courteous and neat. After completion the yard was cleared of all packing materials and you wouldn't even know they were there.
The office manager Andrew is fantastic. He is polite and very knowledgeable about solar. Never gets upset even if you call him five times a week. (I know that for a fact.) After having our system for almost two years Andrew still gives me wonderful customer service. In my book he is the back bone to this company. I picked Nova West Solar because they were a local company that does everything in house with all quality products. My system looks great on the house and is putting out more electricity than documented. The best part of Nova West Solar is how they handled things when things did not go as expected. The management made sure things were fixed quickly and I was happy with the outcome. The entire crew really cares about your home and the work they do. Do yourself a favor and bring them to your house to talk about what they can do for you.

While attending the Home Improvement Show, we scheduled appointments with two solar companies. We met with sales representatives and received quotes from both companies, but still had unanswered questions. In an effort to gain additional information, we contacted an acquaintance who had installed solar several years ago. He highly recommended Nova West. I called the office to make an appointment. To my surprise, the solar consultant, who answered the phone, was able to confidently address all of my questions. A few days later, we met with him. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. In terms of cost -- two of the three quotes were similar. Nova West was ultimately selected because of the knowledge, experience, and expertise of the consultant. Nova West completed the project in a timely manner, as promised. The crew was on time, courteous, and professional. The job-site was always clean after the crew left. We are very pleased with our decision to use Nova West Solar and are anxious to see reduced PG&E bills in future months.
They are incompetent. I do not recommend. They gave PG&E wrong meter number then getting the runaround about aggregation. Multiple unanswered emails , multiple phone calls and no follow-ups . Cannot recommend . I plan on putting in a 2nd system for my other meter , will use a different company .

Great Company! With excellent value! Andrew, Ian, Rick and all the other guys did all that was expected from a good contractor. Even after all the problems we had with PG&E, Andrew never quit advocating for us and kept us informed through email and phone calls with all of his communications with PG&E. Thank you Andrew. They never missed or were late for an appointment. Cleaned up after the job and I noticed all the hardware they used was of good quality, helping to keep corrosion to a minimum. Use this company you won't be disappointed.
