Easily the worst healthcare service I have ever dealt with. I ve wasted so much of time calling them to get claims processed. They tell you, you can use this power pay card with a limited amount on it for the year to cover expenses that they won t, like prescriptions, dental and vision. Then they will send you a bill to pay them back the amount you used off the card like 2 months later because they re not covering that even if it s medical related. They nit pick everything you do, even if you just stop at an urgent care they will send you pages of forms to fill out because you stubbed your toe. I think all of this headache they create is done on purpose so that you eventually give up fighting them and you end up paying for everything out of pocket. Unfortunately I m stuck with them because they are what my employer has stuck us with and I can t afford to look else where. If you are able to avoid this company, do it at all costs

I paid a bill which i received in 2019 for services incurred December 2018. I didn't receive the bill until February 2019. I paid it and they forced new to reimburse MY OWN FSA and froze it until i do. I'm hoping to unfreeze it soon. How ridiculous is it that i can't use my own money until i reimburse my company FSA, which is essentially myself. Con artists.

Incredibly outdated systems. Want to pay your monthly bill online? They charge you a $20+ fee per payment. Seriously? Please get with the times. There's absolutely no catering to the customer here. Requiring that we mail in a check every month in order to not incur any fees to pay an already ridiculously high health insurance package is just absurd.

The healthcare option that I am currently on is fine, I suppose. It's quite expensive, going through the COBRA option. Likely not going to be sticking with them long-term. It seems like most health insurance options and companies are outdated and not at all customer-centric, so what can you really do? The LEAST you could do would be to make it easy to pay...

I only have a flexible spending account with this ...

I only have a flexible spending account with this company. I work for the NFTA in Buffalo, New York. If I could possible give this company a 0 rating I would. This is my first year setting up a flexible spending account and MY last!! I have mailed in my claims to be reimbursed (out of my own funds) from the account each quarter... so far. The first and second quarter claims were denied, to which I had to get( EOB-estimates of benefits) from the actual hospital/etc along with the healthcare plan I am enrolled in.( I did send in bills and receipts from the credit card company as well originally) After the work to get those, they did ok the claim for the first quarter. Now, my dental plan which only covers up to $1200 in dental work per calendar year (not much in dental work) which I put in a claim because I paid $ at my dentists office with a credit card that was over the 1200, was also denied!! I got a EOB from the insurance company to resubmit the claim and sent it in... as requested. Nova denied it again!! Not worth all the aggravation and time just to have my 1560 per year of withholdings to be tax exempt. Absolutely ridiculous. Thank god my actual health care is NOT provided though Independent Health....Any amount that is not paid out in claims is non-refundable.

Client of a high-deductible insurance plan that uses Nova "power pay" HRA mastercard for reimbursable expenses. Nova doesn't communicate with my insurance plan so I have to upload every single receipt for reimbursement to be approved. They have frozen my card, and after two phone calls and uploading appropriate documentation, my account hasn't yet been unfrozen a week later. There's no way to contact outside of phone, and getting a knowledgeable person is hard. At least open an email contact service. And process reimbursements. Better yet, don't use Nova unless they communicate with your health plan.
