Small rooms but very clean. Very helpful staff. I forgot my papers in the reception area (including my passport!!) and the staff very kindly safely returned it.

Right next to Tiong Bahru Market and some very interesting shops and cafes, this is a good place to stay in Singapore.

Small rooms. If it is two of you, then it will be a little difficult. However, the location is good. Central part of Singapore. Staffs are friendly. Food is decent. The pool is too small. Just for you to sit inside water. You can't swim.
The food across the food mall nearby is good. Some outlets are more than 30 years old. You must try this place.

Eighty-seven days of accommodation, clean rooms, facilities, and services are all satisfactory. Tiong Bahru is an old neighborhood with unique historical, cultural and architectural features. Tiong Bahru Market is nearby. There are many that have been in business for many years. Time-honored brands, Lo Mee, Fried Kway Teow, Water Kway, Fried Oyster, Wanton Mee, Tofu, Dessert, etc., all kinds of local delicacies are available.

On arrival we were informed, by the pleasant person on reception, that our room had been upgraded witch was very gratifying. The hotel was, as the name suggests, an older style which was quite lovely and well maintained. The service friendly, the room cosy and clean, which included a fridge, free bottled water and tea and coffee masking supplies and equipment. The shower was hot and strong, and the air conditioning comfortable, as was the bed, which had possibly the best pillows I have every experienced in a motel. The breakfast, included in the very reasonable priced room, was basic but adequate. The location was also good as it it close to transport into the city and direct to the airport.

Clean room. Comfy bed. Strategically located opposite the tiong bahru market, which has a wide range of local hawker stalls and a wet market downstairs. The neighborhood is thriving with cafes, independent design shops, bookstores and other hipster shops. Great choice for an affordable stay.

I dont even know how this hotel can survive in Singapore. With all 5 nights paid for and a revervation slip, they kept me waiting at the lobby for 2 hours and told me that there is no rooms left???!!!

My favourite place to stay when in town. Away, but not far from the tourist areas and this small friendly oasis offers a home away from home. Rooms are small but spotless and very well equipped. Staff friendly and a lovely pavement styled restaurant and bar.

Great option to stay in the Tiong Bahru neighborhood. Very well-located. Lovely rooms with great lighting and air conditioning. The bed and pillows feel very comfortable. If you're a vegetarian and have chosen the breakfast within the booking package, you'll get corn flakes, toast and some more stuff with some good hot/cold beverage options here.

Location is great, surrounded by buildings from yester years. The charm is complemented by an abundance of great food and pastries, all within walking distance. Rooms are of reasonable size, beds are super comfy. Decor of the room is old (read nostalgic) with a slight musty smell. Overall a great stay.

Everything in the room is different, but it is not a bad level to sleep. The deposit is 200 Singh, so make sure you get ready for a credit card or a Singh, get it in US dollars, and prepare a US dollar if you do not have a Singh. I do not care if you have a credit card. The wash basin is structurally inconvenient to use. Please refer. There is no foam towel, so if you need it, you'll have to pack it or buy it at a convenience store. The dryer is in the bathroom but is inconvenient to use. It is really good to take a bus ride because there are many buses on the other transportation routes.

A very cosy hotel to stay at.
Though the room sizes are smaller than standard, they are well furnished and clean. Staff is courteous and friendly.
Hotel is within walking distance from bus stop, train station, restaraunts and shops

Extremely friendly staff, good bar food, great price and fantastic location. I stay at a lot of hotels per year and the welcome I received here was better than any of the hotels all over the world that have more stars or are pricier.

It is more convenient than I thought it would be reasonable if staying at the main bus transfer.
The appearance of the building was wonderful and I used to look at this time and stay.
There is a pool outside the third floor.
The building is a bit old but beautiful.
There is a food court nearby and it is bustling in the morning. At night, you can see a variety of local Chinese cuisine and BARs.
There is a convenience store nearby for convenience.

The room itself was a little narrow, but we had a clean room, a large bed, a conscientious price for a high-cost hotel in Singapore and a staff full of hospitality. The nearest MRT station is about 10 minutes on foot, but there is a bus stop at 2-3 minutes, so the movement is not bad! I will repeat next time! Thank you very much.

Very nice place.

Very nice place.

Our room was a little bit too small (I am 6' 5 tall which turned out to be a problem ...), but very good service.

Interesting places and railway stations are in a walkable distance.

High quality, clean and friendly, reasonably-priced lodgings in the Tiong Bahru neighborhood. The rooms are a bit tiny, particularly the bathrooms, but for the price and location, it's really hard to beat the Nostalgia. Have stayed here many times now, and will continue to come back!

Great staff, excellent location near some nice eateries, room was small but very clean and comfortable, restaurant was great with a 35% discount. Thanks to Perry the helpful Concierge and the efficient and friendly reception staff. We will stay again next trip.

We had a delicious dinner at this lovely hotel. There are no formal dining table indoor but decent. The indoor hall is full of fragrance. The price is reasonable. You can buy some coupons on Groupon.

This was a sweet, clean, cozy and very warm stay. Extremely well priced. Very supportive and friendly staff. The rooms were small, but had a great sense of space because of the layout. The stay was good and satisfying. Their interiors were very European with deep maroon and gold used a lot, that gave it this classic vintage look. Without a doubt a great hotel to stay.

I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Ms Rina. A member of the hotel's front desk staff, on the outstanding customer service she provided to partner and me. As soon as I approached the front desk, Ms Rina was courteous, respectful, accommodating and Jovial.

The rooms are small, but the staff are helpful. I was changed the room in 3rd day. With two separate beds and windows. The hotel is near Hawker Center (100m). It's self-service, not too expensive and spoiled for choice. In Singapore, buses are convenient to get around, but you need to get Google Maps with GPS.

Really liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. The room was spacious and clean as well. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed their breakfast - simple American-styled breakfast, but everything was so fresh (and the best part was that their hash browns were super crispy!). Managed to get some pool time during our stay, and also explored around the nearby mall (Great World City), hawker and cafes. Overall a really good place to relax and unwind.

Really enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bedding was lovely! We also used the pool area which was nice to sit and relax at and have a dip in the pool. We hadn't spent much time in this area of Sg so it was a great location to stay at to do the heritage trail and visit the market. It is a really great place to stay. Thank you to all the staff.
