Well, I read the response from someone at Northwood who did not even identify him or herself. It is nice to get any response, but it would be better if they could at least get my name correct when they are blowing me off. It is written right in the review, St. Peter, not Peter.
As to the substance of the review, I think I may be they only one here who has actually read the warranty. Contrary to what the responder says, there is no requirement in the warranty to contact Northwood before having repair work done. There are no "protocols" to follow set out in the warranty. The only obligation of the owner set out in the warranty is to handle normal maintenance of the trailer-which I did.
If you want to add "protocols" fine you can do that-but put them in your warranty, don't use them as a method of stiffing the customer after the fact.
If you want to require a call to Northwood before paying for a defect in your unit, then you should make sure that your office is manned on the weekends. I am sure that many issues arise, like mine did, over the weekend. Again nothing in your warranty says I need to sit in my trailer for 2 days without power waiting for you to open so I can call you. I cannot say I called you over the weekend because I check your website on Google which told me you were closed.
So, coming up with a requirement that is not in your warranty to refuse to pay for the repair cost is a form of misrepresentation.
