My sister-in-law was a Maefair resident for the past year and I can't rave enough about the excellent care she received. The staff is very dedicated and professional. They remained in constant contact with me regarding her health, especially during the Covid pandemic. The recreation department is top notch, they offer many varied activities. The Christmas party was incredible and I could see how much all the residents appreciated being able to invite their families to attend.

I would recommend anyone to send their love one to Maefair for any assistant living. I went to visit my aunt and this place is well kept. She has been in a few places and was never happy and she is settling in very nicely here. Everyone is so attentive and it s so what we been looking for.

Very unhappy, I told them my 94 year old dad was a high risk Faller (I couldn't have stressed it enough to them) they still managed to let him fall twice in only three days he was there. I had him transferred.. staff doesn't seem into helping patients, seems like they work there just for a pay check! Very sad

Currently employed here for the last 8 years. Welcoming staff, beautiful location, route 8 and Merritt parkway very accessible, wide parking lot around the building, nice size rooms for the residents compare to many other nursing homes. Dementia unit, short term rehab, recreation room, memory keeper group for selective residents to enhance their memory, physical therapy, recreational therapy, speech therapy are just the names of a long list of other services. This is my second review of Maefair. I'm no longer there so it's hard to say that the company is doing well and what changes has happened since I left two years ago.

I am so grateful to Maefair. My mother in law needed short term rehab, and I was so worried because of the pandemic. We took a leap of faith, and we won with Maefair. Not only did we get updates on a weekly basis, we were able to get more information with their weekly family zoom meetings. Although we were not able to visit as often, I felt that I knew everything that was going on with her. The patio visits were amazing the recreation staff is so loving and caring and respectful of our privacy. The rehab team made so much progress with her. The whole process at Maefair was just great, from the very patient admissions director (I had a million questions) to the discharge. Clara, the Director of social work is worth a million dollars! THANK YOU MAEFAIR FOR EVERYTHING... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

As a patient at Mayfair nursing home,I was mistreated with medical incompetence, misnagement and gross neglect As Well As Gleeful HUMILIATION.So bad was my mistreatment at Mayfair that at times I considered escaping from my tormenters by jumping from the 1st floor window. But the window would not open not open wide enough to make a sane jump from the window. On one emotional incident, I was chased thru a corridor, while fleeing from insane nursing staff, in another attempt to leave an aweful Mayfai

I am having knee surgery in two weeks so I visited and got a tour of three separate sub-acute and long-term nursing facilities close to where I live. I will be going to one of them for rehab following my knee surgery. I will be there for approximately 10 to 20 days.

I toured Lord Chamberlain in Stratford, United Methodist Wicke Health Care Center and Maefair Health Care Center. Of the three, I chose Maefair for several reasons. The number one reason is that it's clean and the private room offered to me is large with a recliner and private bath. The physical therapy room is fairly large and I got to see four of the physical therapist working with patients. The facility has undergone some recent cosmetics inside including the removal of carpeting in the hallways and replacing it with a hard surface. This is smart because as we know carpeting holds bacteria. The staff all seemed happy with their job and all were smiling. This is also important to me. I give this facility 4 stars based on first impressions and will review it once more after I've been discharged, or maybe during my stay since they have wi-fi and I'm on my laptop a lot.

If you truly care for your loved ones, DO NOT choose Maefair Health Care Center! Just like a previous review, my Mom was also a high risk faller. I asked them to please put rails on my Mom's bed and they ignored to do so. My Mom fell 3 times trying to get to the bathroom. I spoke to several "head nurses" and they all downplayed the situation! Once while my sister was visiting I was on the phone with her and I heard my Mother crying. She was in a lot of pain. My sister calls a nurse into the room and I heard the nurse tell my sister "She's fine". My Mom's incision never healed due to the staffs gross negligence! Needless to say, my Mom is no longer there!
