North Shore Community Health Center Review

Initially, my provider was super supportive and I felt comfortable working with her. But, she apparently left the practice or stopped seeing patients so I no longer was able to see her (which I wasn t aware of until I thought I was having a phone appointment with her, and it ended up being someone completely different who told me I can no longer work with her). When I was dealing with other members of the staff, I had numerous negative experiences which triggered me to leave and find a new PCP all together. I work in the medical field so I understand the ins and outs, but I was completely shocked with how poorly the staffs customer service was. I had legitimate medical concerns and I felt completely degraded and unheard with how it was handled.

The most unprofessional office I have ever called. The customer service is awful and they don't even know the information they giving out. There is no credibility what so ever. Please don't waste your time with this office. You will never get a prescription called in because that is just too hard for them to do. Really an embarrassing establishment.

If I could give this place a negative rating I would give it a negative five. Everything about this establishment is awful. I've never experienced such poor customer service like I have in this place. No one every answers the phone, and when they do all you get is attitude and are constantly being either put on hold or rushed off the phone. When you step in the place they people are short with you and barely smile at you. You're lucky to ever get a good morning or good afternoon without having to pull teeth. Also, you have to constantly keep track of what they are doing because all the mistakes they make. It's frustrating that I'm stuck going to a place like this because of insurance purposes. Just overall bad experience especially in dental.

The WORST... unable to get a refill for my elderly mom's prescriptions.

I have been going there off and on over the last 20 years for my boys and I. I have a rare heart condition, and they have been very informative and work my cardiologist to keep me on track and make sure I am doing what I am supposed to. I have been treated with more respect there than anywhere. Not that anyone likes doctors, but I have a phobia, and even before walking in I get palpitations and my blood pressure increases. But they have eased my problem somewhat and even gave me the confidence to lose 50 pounds. Another commenter mentioned about the revolving doctors. And yes, that's the only thing that makes me sad. But due to the specific care I need, each one informs the next, and no one is left out of the loop. Sorry so long, but in my eyes, they really deserve more stars.

Patient for 19 years, chronic illness for approx last ten years- LEFT PRACTICE after 6 months of mistreatment, wrong prescriptions, and generally abandoned. Medical director Femino does not know difference between 1x/day and 2x/day, COO Malagrida has not returned call in 8 days, CEO has someone else returning her calls, but can't give explanation why no one there cares if I live or die, or why I was refused appointments, or ANY FOLLOW-UP.

Gave one star because its the only option if there would be a zero they deserve a NEGATIVE. These people cancel appointment on you right when you show up and they lie and say we have been try to reach you but a cell phone does not lie no calls received nothing you just hit the traffic and drive for 40 min only to find out your appointment has been cancelled. Worst customer service ever. Stay away from NSCH ig you want good care gor your kids.

Very long wait times even after i got in the room. I got burned from the catscan and the nurse said she dropped one of my vials of blood in the trash and needed more. I checked the trash and there was nothing in there. When she took the needle out she was in a hurry just yanked it out quickly and left. While i was getting dressed blodd started squirting out and I couldt find anyone to help me. I was yelling nurse nurse. Nobody responded. I had to walk barefoot on those disgusting floors inly to find the nurse relaxing in a dark room on her computer

Absolutely appalling. If you're looking for a health center that will care about you as a patient, this is not it. The staff is rude, inconsiderate, and won't even call you to inform you of a cancellation. Every visit to this place has been a nightmare, and each time it is because of a mistake by a staff member. Yet, every time they make a mistake, they treat the patients like it's the patients' fault. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Honestly, I think they are pretty good. My PCP is really informed, she works really hard to accommodate me into her schedule. As an anorexic, I have appointments once a month for blood work. They are always really sweet to me when I go in. When I've needed emergency appointments, thet have been really good at getting me in.
That said, they are very no frills. You're not gonna get treated like the ruler of a kingdom. But that's not their job. They get you in, take care of what's going on, and get you out. And with how many people they serve, it makes a lot of sense. I'm glad they havr made health care accessible for me.

Very not so proper service, been waiting months to b seen by a phycitrist. And every time I call and remind them it's like they forgot or have to start over.

Don t see Kara Pezola in this clinic she is no doctor and does not know what she is doing I been living with pain since I started seeing her last year. And two months ago she said that she ll send a referral for a pain management dr. because she can t help me and still I have not received it. This is the worst clinic and the worst nurse practitioner I have ever seen very inhumane.

This place sucks! Although my primary care provider is a Doctor, I have never seen him. Instead I have to wait weeks for an appointment with a nurse practitioner. They want me to schedule an appointment 5 weeks in advance to get a tetanus shot. If you are lucky enough to get the right person answering the phone, and present a compelling argument as to why you need care in less than 5 weeks, you stand a chance of haggling your way into an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. The office seems overworked and understaffed. For the amount of money I spend on health care, I shouldn't have to beg for an appointment. I'm looking to change primary care providers pronto.

Wish I could give this place negative stars. I have been going here for a year and have had four different doctors due to them leaving. Must be for a reason.....First of all the place seems like nobody is running it and people that work there seem stressed, overworked and unhappy. I and my young daughter were witness to someone who was clearly an addict flipping out in the waiting room last time we were there. It seemed like there was absolutely nobody who knew how to handle the situation or any security at all. It felt unsafe and I absolutely will NOT return here. All of these reviews here clearly paint a perfect picture.

Whoever runs this place should FIX THESE PROBLEMS!!!

I'm accustomed to public health services and the sometimes longer wait times. But the dental clinic here is absurd. First of all, it it's impossible to get a hold of anyone by phone. In the last two months I've spent more than 4 hours on hold, and still never spoke to someone. Second, the first visit I had was scheduled at 3. I arrived early, and was still 45 minutes lateto my 500 shift, despite it being an initial consultation which really shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes. Today was the final straw. I arrived at 1015 for a filling appointment. I wasn't called in until 11. I ended up leaving the room at 12 since I was being ignored and can't afford to take 4 hours off work (which was looking like the time I'd spend). Treat your people better! Have not respect for the fact that many low income folk can't afford that and don't deserve that treatment.I'll be finding another service for my family and myself.

This place is the worse... Don't go there... There will make you do unnecessary appointments so they can make more money....

I've been trying to get a physical now for months... Every time I schedule an appointment, they say it's for physical and then it turned out that it was not for physical...

Now, they have a new boss called Raquel who let others, like secretary to make decisions for her... It's a disaster

I love this clinic! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They really make taking care of my heath less intimidating. Highly recommend!!

Always super helpful and kind. Couldn't ask for a better Gyno.
