I'm only going to say is that if you don't live in North Royalton then try your best to avoid this city.
You will probably get pulled over if you don't live around here. It is made clear that they don't want you there either when the police officer speaks to you.

I'm 45 never ever have broken the laugh ever except for some traffic tickets.

Not going to say anything mean about them or anyone. I just know that they will mess with you if you didn't live there. It is a lot like Independence, Ohio. Maybe that's a way that they detract crime. I don't know.

Not from around here? Then you'll be harassed by the police for simply being a law abiding citizen. Because of my work, I have to occasionally travel through North Royalton and without hesitation I am always harassed. Going the speed limit or under? Oh Nelly, they're on your tail. Usually once the cop sees that my plates aren't from around here, they back off. But really? That's how you treat VISITORS? This town seems really friendly other than the police harassment. I never get tailed in any other town in this state like I do in North Royalton. I have a few police friends and even they think North Royalton is too much. If the police are that bored that they'll try to pull over someone going the speed limit, they should seek alternative employment elsewhere or maybe pick up Sudoku. If you're not from the area, detour around this town!

Have other family members that serve on other departments that would be totally embarrassed regarding how this entire department treats the general public. Guilty until proven innocent is their motto. Serve ourselves make our quota for the department. Stay away from this city or you'll be sorry . Horrible just horrible. They should all be ashamed of themselves. Oh but attitude reflect leadership chief....

You can hand them a simple case with photos and get no results. Why even post signs claiming there's a fine? I'd hate to be a victim of a real crime in this area-- you'd probably be dead before they came out to check it out.

The cop that pulled me over tried to threaten to write me up for tags because his computer told him they were expired, when I told him to look at the license plate he said the computer doesn't lie. Even tho the tags are on my plate. I went to the station to complain, and the lieutenant proceeded to yell at me. So avoid north Royalton at all cost

Job is to serve and protect. Not harass and trump up bogus charges. The entire department needs to be overhauled. Lousy humans

This is one of the worse police associations in north east Ohio. I haven't dealt with a police officer in years. I stay to myself and obey the laws. I was recently pulled over for not having a front license plate. That was his only reason for pulling me over. I had no other issues and he gave me a citation. I believe this apex behavior and senseless ticketing is the reason civilians hate the police more and more as the years progress. There was no reason to cite me for not having a front plate as it causes no harm to myself or any others. It's simply another means to draw revenue for your department. You are stealing time and money from the people you are sworn in to protect and in doing so causes harm to them. My life was put in danger today not by a criminal but by one of your police officers for simply not having a front license plate. Your department should be ashamed of themselves and it further cements my distrust and distaste with police officers.

Had to share how the officers went above and beyond. My alternator died on me causing my van to stop in the middle of the road at 10 pm on a cold winter day. I had my three girls with me 6, 4, and an infant. An officer came upon me immediately and they brought a jump box before emergency roadside even picked up the phone. They double timed it when they heard about the girls. Then they even offered to follow me the 2 miles home to make sure we made it safe. I was going to ask, but they brought it up before I even could. I will always be grateful to the north Royalton police. Today they truly served my family.

If youre going to shut down all your roads for parades HAVE A PLAN. Put cops on streets around the area to keep traffic moving.

The woman at the window handling anything regarding jailing had ZERO business making comments about me bailing my mother out for a DUI. Things about how I'm awfully young to be doing so and, because I came on my scrubs, "At least you're doing something with yourself and won't end up down this road."

Excuse me? Is this some sort of joke? Im mad at my mother but, to my knowledge, this was a first time thing.
I'm appalled by the lack of professionalism, discretion, and the blatant judgment.
This department never ceases to amaze me in how it treats people.

Each and every Zahursky arrest should be reviewed. That is what a leader with integrity would do.

Saw the Steve Zahursky video where he arrested a citizen for a DUI and lied in the report. Any police department that keeps officers like this on is disgraceful and they should all be ashamed for supporting someone who is willing to lie on a report in order to justify an arrest. Shamefull.
