On March 12th of this year, we arrived home from vacation to find our entire house (except the master bathroom) destroyed from an upstairs plumbing leak. We walked in, stepped in water, the ceilings had fell in, water was still running down the staircase like a waterfall. We were in shock...my husband ran to the street and turned off the water. I called our agent, Emily Kait Hunter and she answered! It was 11pm and she answered! She told me not to worry, she would have someone here right away and hung up. Within the next hour, Carolina Restoration Services (CRS) arrived with a team who sprung into action. Emily told us to go to a hotel for the night and we would start making arrangements the next day to get us put back together again. We were devastated as anyone would be but for us, it was worse since we had just bought the house in October and fully remodeled it. It was brand new. We enjoyed it from December to March then the leak happened. Emily connected us with someone in claims who only worked with us long enough to discover from Carolina Restoration that we had "catastrophic damage". At that time, we were handed off to Erik Arnold. That day is when we KNEW it would all work out. Erik walked us through the entire process and gave us reassurance that no short cut would be taken, we had a nice, updated house before the leak and would have one again. I don't think my simple words can convey to you what a great employee you have in Erik. He met my husband and a representative from CRS at our house, walked room by room and explained everything with immense patience. I am a bit of a control freak and very persistent, Erik NEVER made me feel like I was a bother to him. He told me to contact him anytime and gave us his cell phone number. He secured us a nice place to live for three months while the repairs were taking place. It was close by our house so we could be close to the restoration efforts. Emily Kate checked in frequently to let us know that she was here for us...even bringing us a gift certificate to a local restaurant so we could have a nice dinner. You can't turn on the radio, television, podcast or Facebook without seeing advertising for insurance companies. These companies offer great service and lower costs to switch..."they talk the talk" BUT Farm Bureau "walks the walk". Thank you for hiring people like Emily Kate and Erik. My family and YOUR company is in safe hands with them. God bless you all! We will be loyal customers for life.

Was with them for years, then after my home is robbed they tell Me if anything else happens in the next 5 years they will cancel. Found better coverage and better rate elsewhere. Not to mention new insurance are much more respectful people.

We Filed A claim for an auto accident on 2 vehicles we have through our business. This happened on January the 1st period we have still not heard back from the adjuster regarding approval or denial. Have called this company 4 or 5 times and left voicemails with the adjuster, still no phone call back. Worst Carrier ever!!

Then Shelby took over my account.
I am very basic customer, i got my bill and I pay. Easy. No accident, nothing in 5 years.
After 5 years , I got extra $440 bill.
I called and learned that I didn't pay membership ($25). And expired to pay now.
I paid everything for 5 years and they can easily see that i missed this one. It is my mistake.
I try to explain that I never receive reminder call or e mail. I also paid my last invoice this November by phone and nobody mention anything.
I gave them membership number etc. On the screen they can se and they can remind.
After I told these facts, her explanation that I have to follow these stuff, they cant check every customer. etc etc.
I said that your right. It was my mistake to stay with Farm Bureau, when Brent left. I will correct my mistake on Monday and contact Brent and transfer my business to him. I am just 1 customer of thousands for Farm Bureau but I am important for people like Brent.
I received e mail from her ( first time in 3 years- wow she had my e mail. what a surprise) after phone conversation.
She said that they gonna charge me short rate fee if I left company before May 22nd.
Do not worry , I will pay whatever you charge penalty or short rate fee etc. but you will never get my business back.

They lie and are extremely unethical. We had one of our car's breakdown. The engine was shot and the mechanic theorized that perhaps we might have driven over a rock or a piece of glass that then caused the transmission to go. When I called, I had asked if insurance points would be accumulated in this scenario. I was told no. Can you imagine my shock when I learned these criminals assigned us two insurance points for a traffic accident. It bumped up our insurance by double. Worse, these people didn't even record the correct name of the driver in their report and then lied and tried to cover it up!!! Thankfully I have the proof and finally, after submitting a report to the NC Bureau of Consumer Protection detailing fact by fact the deceit and unethical behavior, Farm Bureau reversed their decision. It is sad that I had to appeal to a government agency before they reversed their decision. I would never, ever advise people to work with these criminals. Disgusting and disgraceful.

I was with this company for almost 8 years and was dropped after 1 claim. The adjuster either lied or was blamed when I asked the reasons why I was being dropped. I am so very disappointed as ever interaction I had with the employees was pleasant up to being dropped. The hold music says they treat you like family. I hope your family treats you better.
These people stole an extra $158 from our checking...
These people stole an extra $158 from our checking account on August 14. When checking into this, I found out they placed my son's 14 points -for a DUI on our policy even though my son had insurance with another, more competent insurance company Allstate and he was paying for his ,points on that policy. They were made aware and given the paperwork proving my son's insurance with Allstate and they were told to remove him from our policy. Because of their theft of the additional money, it left our checking account way in the negative the whole weekend and left us with no way of getting gas, food, groceries, or anything else. This was not something that set well with us since I am out of work on lay off due to Covid-19 and my wife was out of work due to surgery to remove a mass. If they would have sent out a notice that the insurance was increasing, we could have gotten it taken care of before this happened. We cancelled our auto policy with them and went to Allstate ourselves. I had been with farm bureau over 6 years with my auto and homeowner insurance and got a better rate for more coverage on my vehicles through Allstate. I was told that of the $254 they took from our account we would only receive a $120 refund. At least Jesse James used a gun when he robbed people. A complaint has been filed with the Insurance Commissioner of NC. As of Sept. 12, we still have not received a refund of our money in any amount. My advise is steer clear of these crooks. Today, 9-16-2020 I called again to check on the refund...we still have not received it and now the refund has dropped to $89....THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY CROOKS.

I had to really stay on top of the adjuster Lacey. Since she wouldn't make an effort to call me back. Then when I finally got in touch with her she gave me unnecessary attitude when I was answering the standard questions. Not very good customer service which is a shame since I know a few people that work there and they are not this difficult or inconsiderate to deal with. Do better Farm Bureau.
