Free wifi and a lot of charging outlets are all I need. The airport is kind of clean. It however has vey poor dining options.

Good airport.
Little bit small but very convenient if you are flying from San Jose or nearby area.
All nearby people uses this for domestic travel.
Not much long haul flights, but you can get connecting international flights, which'll be ok if you are ok to add 1 more stop in your route.
Not much restaurants as this is still not big airport.
My company is in San Jose and they routes international flights also via this airport as this is convenient for everyone.
Compared to other airports, no hassle and laid back.
Fairly small and convenient. Needs more restaurants. Some areas need cleaning. Bathrooms are terrible.
Small airport. Not many eataries. Clean. Bathroom stalls are large n accomidating
This airports sevices are very fast.
That s great. What this airport lacks is attention to what the patrons need. After being basically stripped by TSA there was no where for me to re-dress. I nearly felt like the Airport was setting me up for my first indecent exposure.
What bugged me more though was all the spilt coffee cups all over the place. Seriously this is an airport not a Ross department store.
It was ok flew out threw Frontier, it's a medium-sized airport. The one thing I did not like was that we landed into terminal A and from there had to walk outside the airport, with luggage, across the street to catch the shuttle bus to terminal B for the car rental center. That was difficult when lugging all the luggage and a toddler.
Edit: came back through here and it was worse so taking the last star lol.
Jesus Christ the incompetent people they employ here. This airport is a joke all the way from tsa to the restaurants and shops.
Very rude workers and not helpful at all. If there was an option I would put zero stars.
Best airport in the bay area to fly out of which doesn't say much but you can get decent food and they have plenty of outlets in the waiting areas.
Small airport which is nice, but must be 85 flipping degrees inside too damned cheap to run the AC?
Good Resturants At the Airport And the Flights are clean And Everything! :)
They have done a good job fixing this airport up. It used to be a lot worse.
Both times I had to come here the airport didn't have many people. Pleasant experience!
Terminals separated reasonably. Usually not an issue to get through security.
Airport security line can be huge during popular hours.
Horrible, Rude and Inconsistent TSA. Let me pass with temporary and expires DL two weeks ago and rejected me this time. Everyone could pass with this combo, but they just rejected me and I had to show passport. They rudely asked me to scan my boarding pass twice and threatened to kick me out. This TSA lady is either not qualified for her job or she s just a racist.
Car rental location is not very easy to get to. LONG walk from Delta gates.
San Jose domestic and international airport cool. support and guidance employee awesome. We have to take local shuttle to reach Delta airlines. After you parked your rental car take elevators down take shuttle service to terminal 4. You have to auto check in in machine if extra luggage you have pay some bugs $$. Once completed check in process further proceed to first floor for security and clerance. Successfully completed security now proceed towards the corresponding gate...you have Hudson Starbucks cnn news chocolate store electronic store liquor makeup items news sunset etc store....
I work at airport now, ladies need to tone down they're talking and pay attention to customers, always talking loud in there language, which is not polite
Small airport that's close to mtv/svl. Smooth and speedy check-in and security check.
Very clean, not too busy. And spacious seating with charging ports
Nice airport, quick security and lots to choose from. Great customer service!
Quite airport, we were able to zip right through the security line. If you're going there during the pandemic be sure to bring food/drink of your own. There are no restaurants open, just 1 Starbucks and a few of those grab and go kiosks ($$$)
Good : Clean restrooms, clear and straight forward directions between terminals (gate numbers, rest room, baggage claim), good wifi speeds, multiple Starbucks, car rental convenience.
Opportunities : need additional club lounges, more working spaces with wall outlets, food selection, need more tv displays with live news
Very busy airport. I cannot speak for the other airlines since I have only flown southwest but I cannot say enough about the absoulty awesome employees they have. The airport helps people with special needs and or the elderly. They are friendly and just awesome! They physically helped me with my special needs granddaughter to our gate and literally stayed with us until our plane left. From going g to the gate to going through security they were extremely helpful! I cannot say enough about San Jose Airport!
On a Southwest flight today where the flight crew was nice enough to change the cabin lighting to celebrate a Make A Wish trip for a child and her family!
Kind of small, but busy airport. Lots of options for food and shoping while waiting for a flight. Restrooms are way too congested. The waiting zones near the gates get crowded easily.
Nice airport. Easy access to rentals and easy return. Security was very fast. Well designed airport. Definitely a fan.
Empty airport yet long lines at security.
Long lines at coffee shop because all they have is crappy stores and a single coffee shop at terminal B.
Long lines in the bathroom because some genius thought three bathroom stalls were sufficient for an airport.
This is a medium sized airport that's, overall, a lot more pleasant and efficient than SFO.
- A moderate number of food choices.
- The "Lounge at SJC" is pretty nice; not very crowded, and featuring some tasty light bites for lunch and complimentary drinks at the bar.
- Since the airport isn't too huge, you can typically get to your gate in 10 minutes or less from anywhere in your terminal.
- And since fog is rare here in SJ, your plane is much less likely to be delayed due to weather (coming or going) with SJC vs. SFO.
It's a clean place and workers are so helpful and organized
Modern type smallish airport. Terminals A and B are 7 minutes walk away from each other behind the security check. This is useful to know because terminal A has a lounge. If you are traveling from B you can still go to the lounge if you have time.
There are honless people walking around the airport very uncomfortable situation traveling alone with a child and the people who worked there told me there wasn't really anything they can do id like to talk to someone who can do something about it
Vastly improved! Rental cars now on site. Terminal B is pretty and clean. Food is not as good as most airports though. Rental car agencies still arrogant and often indifferent to customers.
Small airport. It's quaint that for some flights you actually walk on the tarmac to get to the plane, rather than using a jetway -- or at least that was the case a while ago. Not great transit connections - you have to take Caltrain to Santa Clara and change to a free VTA shuttle bus.
TSA was moving at a snail's pace today. (8/12/11). If they were any slower they'd have been stopped. Good restaurants/amenities in Southwest Airlines terminal.
Very convenient airport and sometimes cheaper to fly into than San Fran or Oak.
I love what they did to this airport, it looks so beautiful
I love this airport. By far the best terminals I been to.
Great airport except tsa can be annoying at times. There isn't much fast food options and there is a lot of dine in restaurants in the terminals
This airport is small. It was the nearest airport from home. I had went there many times. I like to go to airports. The lines are so long at TSA. The staff are so friendly. It nice at this airport. The bathrooms there are so clean.
A clean and small airport with the basics. Security lines are short and waiting areas are small, easy pick up and drop off .
Good shops, location, restaurants, service, even free ride on bus number 10 to Caltrain station .
Very clean and simple. It's not so difficult to get a Taxi upon arrival and there are plenty of seats that have plugs to charge your devices while you wait.
Pleasant airport with free wifi and numerous restaurants. Easy to navigate.
The TSA agents were on an awful mood (maybe because it was friday and a lot of people were traveling? ) , the distribution of the lines were terrible. Also, the terminal didn't have many options for eating, mostly bread but, at the end, we found a good and fast restaurant. Some of the halls of the terminal were so small we barely could line up to get to the plane at the gate. The parking lot was great. Overall, it is too small for the amount of people who's traveling there.
Car rental is small and cramped...needs to be moved off-site already. Terminals are long, narrow and only have one exit.
TSA is quick, planes have been on time, I fly in 3 to 4 times a year and it's always as easy as flying gets.
Back in the day... That is before Corona virus took over... When I had to do a lot of day trip traveling down to southern California, this airport was ideal. I could park in a parking lot that was literally butted up against the terminal and I could go from my car to the TSA line in under 3 minutes. Getting in and out was a fair breeze. The interior of the terminal could use some work geometrically I mean. It's one long line of gates on one side and shops on the other. Which means you might have to walk 20 gates to get to your favorite Starbucks or restaurant. All in all though, pretty good airport.
Nice and modern airport really showing what Silicon Valley is all about! Plenty of art throughout the airport. Not a wide variety of flights though, and the lines are pretty long.
The rating is for the experience with the customs check at the international terminal more than of the airport. The customs officer tore apart the zipper on two of the suit cases when he couldn't open it with ease. He didn't have patience to deal with my in-laws who don't speak English well enough. This is when there were no one else in the queue behind my in-laws.
The international arrivals terminal is still under the construction. We had to wait for an hour outside the gate with no seating available. Not a great experience.
They sent my bag to Vegas, instead of Dallas. I watched them do it while they conversated with their co-workers, not paying attention. I had faith they knew what they were doing. I got to Dallas to find my bag hadn't arrived. What a mess! I guess I should be blaming Southwest Airlines. No overall issues with the airport itself. Very easy to find my terminal. My only issue was the herrendous wait in security.
Airport is decent. It's really small but quicker to get through. Not too many food options, especially in the morning but enough
A small and convenient airport. Immigration and baggage receipt are fast, and it takes less than 30 minutes to receive a rental car.
The food and wait areas have really improved over time. This is a decent airport to fly from.
Much improved from years ago. Modernized, quick to get in and out of, and many shops to buy from.
I approve flying into this airport.
I'll begin by saying that I have been to almost every airport in California. I find that San Jose is not only incredibly clean and easy to navigate, but also offers service to a wide array of both domestic and international locations. Avoid the hassle of LAX and SFO and fly out of SJC!
This is one of the nicest airports in the United States. It's the exact opposite of San Francisco, in the sense that it's modern, has good food, has outlets, better parking options, and usable Wi-Fi. If I lived next door to SFO I would rather fly out of this airport.
One of the better airports. Not too big, not too small. Easy to get where you are going.
Flew plane is yes. To future and beyond is what plan tends to be. I will hardware the computer and fly plane
An awesome experience overall ,the airport is a representation of the neighboring silicon valley tech, The Tsa and all crew members who are employed and those who are not employed why the aiprots are very polite and willing to help anyone. The wifi i find the greatest perk , exceptionally fast and puts most east coast airports to shame
Really nice airport kind of small easy to get
the through security
But SFO has better food
Airport was fine but very few places to eat were open
The areas that have been renovated are quite nice. The seats with outlets and USB chargers are a great feature. Parking is decent, though expensive, but that seems typical these days. Overall, much less hassle than Oakland or SFO.
Car rental locations are definatly an afterthought.
Whenever shoe are necessarily removed, the experience is diminished.
Small airport with few food choices. Smooth arrival and departures though.
