A bit overpriced. ... but worth the price if you stay there long enough. Especially suitable for kids, as some hands-on activities.

An absolute must if you are holidaying in North Jutland. The moonfish is absolutely worth seeing, a giant of a special kind. Especially extra are the extra shadow parking for dog owners, because the dogs are not allowed in the museum.

Very cool place with good activities for all ages.
My Wife loves Seals and they have one of the best Sealariums in Denmark so we visit whenever we're near.

Have been there many times, is something for the whole family and always worth a trip. This year you only pay half the price of admission, which is very worthwhile.

A lot to discover. For the whole family. Beautiful animals. Unique encounter with the sunfish. Unfortunately, some objects did not work and the topic of environmental protection was definitely neglected.

The complex extends inside over 4 floors, all of which are very interesting to see.
The outdoor area consists of the seal pool a great playground and an inforaum over sighted and washed up whales.
The large pool is also very nice, it is definitely worth the feeding there.
Furthermore, there is a petting and touch basin.
All in all, we did not think it was so informative and great for kids.
You can even rent wheelchairs.

The North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals is one of Denmark's major tourist attractions. It was built in 1984 and in 1998 was expanded with an oceanarium - an aquarium with 4.5 million. liters of water

Only the moonfish pool was worth the money. The rest has unfortunately very disappointed me. Partly very confusing route, because it was not clear where the tour goes long to see everything.

Big, grandiose and yet a little worn at the edges as some parts are more refurbished than others, large play areas outside, and many handsome activities for the kids. Solid cafe.

80,00 EUR Entrance for a family of 4 are steep but justified for the offered too. Lots of information about the North Sea and v.a. many fish. Feeding the moonfish is definitely a highlight. Unfortunately, the information of the speaker and the diver are only in Danish ..... no one expects German, but in addition in English would be for a touristy region really not too much to ask . Outdoor area especially for smaller children and seal enthusiasts recommended. Restaurant area generous. Price \ Performance absolutely i.O.

Definitely a place to spend time if one is in Hirtshals

Spent a whole day with family, and there were some interesting things, but so many things need restarting. Or just simple maintenance. If was off season, so lack of activity is expected. But they could do more to make things inviting.

Good place. Lots to see. Skilled staff. Expensive but worth the money.

Nice place with kids. Many different things to look at and be active with.
If you stick to one plane at a time, the children can find their own way around. Outside as inside there are activities.
Year cards that also give access to other places.

Good exihbits and doing a good job dealing with the covid 19 situation. Little confusing with the signage as for how get out of the back section and still follow the social distancing guidelines

The sunfish is great. The rest? Not so exciting, and clearly heavily funded by the fishing industry. Lots of detail on fishing techniques and traditions, but very little discussion of sustainability, and no mention at all of the mass extinction occurring in our oceans. The worst part of all? No meals in the cafeteria that didn t include meat or fish. Unfortunately, this oceanarium seems to be doing more harm than good.

Big and great. Great to look at too small and big. A bit expensive, especially if one is a large family. Costs DKK 360 for adults.

Great laid out, very informative, labeled in Danish, German and English.

It's always great here for both kids and adults. There are good guides, new initiatives, improvements to existing and good food!

The Oceanarium is a great place to get close to life in the sea. There are a lot of animals living in the North Sea represented here and you can actually touch some of them - including a stingray. There is a fairly strong angle in favor of the fishing industry in the exhibition, where I might like a better focus on the marine environment.

The souvenir shop of the Oceanarium sells dried starfish, whole tables full of shells and snail shells as well as souvenirs from sealskin (!!!) - are you still going?

It is great to go with the children, I loved it. The only negative thing is that where the whale remains are, the smell is very strong.

Very well designed and well worth a visit. This was my 2nd visit. Now there is a small sunfish in the large basin. The feeding was very interesting.
Can only be recommended, even for small children.

Great place with many interactive features and activities. However, these are aimed at slightly larger children than ours, but he still thinks the playground, seals and lumpfish were exciting. It can be a little difficult to find around.

Beautiful and very informative Ocenarium, if you are interested in the sea world, you should bring time. The food is delicious and the prices moderate, toilets clean and sufficiently available.

Thanks for another wonderful experience. We have now visited you 4 times over many years, and it is still very interesting and exciting. Those who are complaining about the cafeteria, and the lack of aquariums as well as for few large aquariums have no idea what they are talking about.

Always a pleasure to visit this place with friends and family. Very relaxing, friendly staff. They seem to add/update exhibitions every year.

Highlight of Hirtshals. Especially the big pool with the moonfish. Nice and understandable explanations and descriptions of the individual fish. An adventure for the whole family. Also interactive indoor games, outside an "old school" playground, where you have to move not only the fingers, but also the whole body, or can. But be careful, it could make you sweat, but it is normal and not harmful. Feeding the seals also a highlight, some can also do little tricks.

Many offers for children. Supersize. Highlights were the baby seal and the AR experience as a fish. A Weng expensive but absolutely justified in what is offered.

A truly adventurous attraction! You can be there for hours without getting bored, because it takes several times for you to have seen, tested and experienced it all. It is an attraction for all ages and very educational!

Very nice Oceanarium with good transport links. Very child friendly / family friendly. We were there for the second time and will definitely come back. Very nice and interesting. Definitely worth a visit!

Always nice to visit the North Sea Oceanarium. So good experiences and totally crazy to see the big tank and the lumpfish

We had a great day, it was a lot of fun! There is so much to discover. The feeding with the diver was a highlight - very nice that she spoke German. In general, all explanations are in Danish, German and English. The cafeteria is not cheap, but delicious. The booklet for the children to collect stamps is great!

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately the feedings or shows only in Danish. Nevertheless, a visit is worthwhile. But there are significantly fewer pools than we expected.

I am shaken in my foundation over the lack of structure and illogical structure. There were a lot of people who can be expected in high season. But then one must expect that at least the restaurant can keep up with just small purchases as a drink product. Several places ran into blind alleys. Some places due to conversion. It could be a smart idea to make stripes in the floor pointing in directions. So far you are ringing. And what you can read about on the walls is faint info and strange pop quiz. My advice is structure, the red thread. It was a very chaotic experience. We'll probably visit places again in many years.
