Went there on a sat eve. We felt very for the friendly staff, because they were completely understaffed. 10 minutes waiting for just ordering two beers. Another 35 minutes waiting for a portion of nachos.... Naah, you can do better.

The service is fun and cheerful, it's a lovely place to have a pint; but the food is hit and miss depending on the cook. I've had extremely good fish & chips in there on a Tuesday night. The batter was great, the chips thick & home cut, lovely salad dressing - at this time I would have said Noose & Monkey had the best fish'n'chips in Aberdeen. I've gone back on a Saturday with friends for a dreadful version - flat batter, soggy chips hidden underneath fish and a nasty, almost pure mustard salad dressing. It's a bit pricey so I doubt we'd risk ordering the same thing again next time. We will just stick to getting a pint from their funny bartenders.

It's not often I leave an instant review, especially for somewhere I have been going to for a few years now. But to the young man who served me a Virgin Mary last night, I take my hat off to you and applaude you Sir! I do many late, long distant drives, and use a Virgin Mary as my energy drink. But the young gentleman concocted it with a twist I hadn't sampled before and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced! I wish you a delightful career in Mixology, you have talent. Whenever I am back in town I will definitely be swinging by to sample the delights. From memory food is good there too and the refurb/decoration has been updated and is lovely. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Friendly bar staff with good range of drinks unfortunately no pinot grigio rose only a sweet option of zinfandel. Better range of red and white and fairly priced prosecco. Food is very tasty and there is a good choice.

Not bad at all, the beef olives are good but a little too much pepper or spice but still edible, the mash was very nice and the gravy was tasty. I thought the price seemed a lot until I got the food which was a good sized meal, all in all a tasty dish. The place is nice enough.

Nice pub with a good mix of craft beers. The person I was with liked the gin selection. The food is outstanding, if a tiny bit overpriced. Staff could be a little more attentive, I'm at the bar for a reason, so stop chatting! All good though.

Great lunch in here today. Very easy track and trace system to use via messenger, well spaced out from other customers, easy signage, although I'd say the exit sign they have near the front door outside is rather confusing - that sign is purely for their outdoor seating arrangements. Food great and service was great as well. Would be happy to return in these strange times

Their food is to die for. Great quality food with no "abnormal" offerings on the menu. The layout is good - very open. The staff always seem friendly and willing to lend a hand. Always clean and tidy. Good place for some chilled drinks and a bit of high-end pub grub at decent prices for all.

Hired the 'venue' and they literally had nothing plugged in or set up for us and when we asked they didn't have a clue where anything was. And this isn't the first time this has happened.

The food was not really worth the money. The service was very poor. We waited over an hour just to have orders taken and no one came to ask about drinks during the meal. We weren't offered desserts.

Really lovely bar staff when we visited last week -- very helpful & pleasant. Nice atmosphere despite it being very busy. Think a lot of folk had reserved tables maybe prior to the theatre. We're only there for about an hour as heading out to dinner. But having seen & smelt the delicious food going past us to obviously delighted customers I definitely be going again hopefully soon to sample there great looking menu.

I've traveled far and wide to find a comfortable Pub like this. The staff takes ownership of the place. That is a tremendous thing. Friendly 'Quick' and professional greetings await, great service and constant smiles. Interactive environment and makes one feel wanted, and WELCOME! One of Aberdeenshire's Best! Put this place on your list- (absolutely no affiliation with the business) I just like the place....

In Aberdeen at the moment and come across a pub called the Noose and Monkey. Being from Hartlepool, i thought that this must have some connection from Hartlepool. So i decided to give it a go, as you do. Lovely little pub and a nice pint of Heineken too!

A no-frills friendly pub with a good atmosphere. Food is always well-cooked and side salad and vegetables are always fresh. Central heating is usually on, so it's nice and toasty. Highly recommend for a drink and for eating.

A very comfortable, local style bar but with a west-end quality. The chefs were more than happy to answer my annoying, vegetarian questions and had no issues adapting my dish for my spicy palette. This may have been the creamiest and tastiest macaroni I have ever had, especially with the added jalapenos. Even the subterranean, funky vibes that drifted form the impressive sound system were as cool as ice. A tranquility base on the outskirts of Rosemount, who would have known ?? Looking forward to my next visit already.
