I see this as the Nobu for the business crowd. Same high quality Japanese food but you'll be surrounded by patrons on power meetings. The spicy tuna salad and uni tempura are my faves but the miso cod is always a safe go to. For lunch, try one of the bentoo boxes. The prices here though are best if you have an expense account.

I visit Nobu 57 yearly every time I come to NYC for meetings. The sushi is always fantastic and they make a really good salad. Recently on Valentine s Day three friends and I walked in hoping to eat at the sushi bar before a play. Of course, the place was packed and the hostess was not very encouraging about our ability to get seating in time for the play. She and a nearby waitress saw our obvious disappointment as we told her we always eat at Nobu every year. We were about to leave when she signaled us to wait. She said they would find something. We happily ate our wonderful sushi salad in a space for four by the bar. We were so happy and appreciative. I will always go back but next time will reserve a spot.

Nothing more. Food made for westerners. It looks like Delis food from 8 av, but with a price well above and little comes. Prices from 35 to 50 usd approx for the main courses. The atmosphere is young. Lounge music. I'll eat at Arbys out of here.

Nobu is a classic, the food was excellent, the service was very attentive. a great anniversary dinner. I was however disappointed with the bathrooms which left a lot to be desired. I told reception but they did not seem to be too worried about it. Clean up the act guys you're not a dirty pub.

Soooo good. Went here for dinner and had one of the best meals in NYC. Chef choice included oysters, sushi, tuna sashimi with caviar, and more. Also ordered the signature black miso cod which tastes like butter melting in your mouth. Service was excellent - friendly, casual, and attentive.

Had the most wonderful experience here. We had the full option Omakase (without wine pairing). Made from the finest produce, every flavour combination was absolutely spot on. Trendy, bustling atmosphere but acoustics were great and we had no trouble hearing each other talk. Staff was super friendly and professional. Perfect evening.

They definitely have high quality products, but not superior to other top quality sushi restaurants. I enjoy that they have a variety of dishes and also if you ask can be slightly modified to accommodate food intolerance and preferences. The sushi is top quality and prepared fresh. I highly suggest to make reservations well in advance as they book up quickly

I heard Postmates delivery option was now available from Nobu and ordered dinner for four on Friday night for Mother s Day on Sunday. ( yes, 3 days in advance). At 5pm Sunday, I received mail and texts indicating that my order was scheduled to arrive at 6pm. At 6:20 I was informed that my order was cancelled because there were no postmates resources available to deliver it. What? Nobu 57 is 3 blocks from where I live. Call me I would have picked it up myself. But no, because postmate couldn t deliver it I was denied Mother s Day dinner. Extremely disappointed...

The place is very beautiful, but the food has very salty prices for a tiny sushi, one of the waiters treated my family very badly just for being Brazilian and speaking a little Spanish on the spot. A place that is not worth going to in NY.

Nobu is good but it is best to go on someone else's dime because it is pricey. The restaurant is gorgeous and the tables are nicely spaced apart so that you do not feel on top of your neighbor. Besides the sushi, they are best known for their Miso Black Cod. I would also suggest their Yaki-Nasu (grilled miso eggplant) which is large enough to share. Their portions are actually all decently sized. One thing I was upset about was that last time I went, we got all of our hot food and the majority of the sushi, yet my toro never came. I had to sadly ask them to cancel it because we had finished the rest of the food and it still hadn't come.

We were exhausted after a day of NYC sightseeing and stopped for some refreshments and ended up getting dinner! Sushi was great and they had an excellent selection of sake. It is pricey and the plates are small. But overall great food, drinks, and ambience.

The food and service is impeccable. Each bite leaves you wanting just a little more. My group ordered 7 dishes to share, and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've had. Staff even asked if we had other plans or an after dinner show and got us out the door in time, without making us feel rushed at all.

The food is quite good, however I think it is a bit over hyped because of the name rather then the quality of the dishes served.

I had a selection of sushi and the rice was very good and the fish was fresh. My wife had ordered a bento and the quality was no better then any other Japanese restaurant.

Had a premium bento box as lunch.

Tuna Tataki salad with snow crab meat, hamachi with cavier in wasabi soy sauce, spicy tuna roll and 3 sushi.

Lobster tempura, miso-glazed cod?Sea bass? (Cant recall), fillet mignon and rice

Vibe, presentation, flavor, everything was on-point. It surely is a pricey lunch but worth a try.

Seated in-door, but nobody was seated at that time besides us.

Very disappointing experience and well overpriced.
Sunday fix menu had some good starters, and some medium ones.
Mains were horrific, the most boring and tasteless Chirashi I have ever had, and the meat was simply seasoned with paprika.
Desserts were ok.
Bottom line, would spend my money somewhere else.

Great food. Hubby got the expensive Omakase. He loved it, but the time between all of the dishes was grueling, esp since I didn't get what he ordered. They spaced my little meal out and it wasn't really a pleasant wait. Nearly 3 hours total. Shoot me now. I wouldn't do it again but he would.

One of the best meals of my life! We did the $150 Omakase, and were served dishes that were not on the menu. Each was better than the next! Waiter was very nice, friendly, and fast. He made sure that we were able to enjoy our time there while still making our play shortly thereafter. Only negative was that it took them about 15 minutes to seat us, but hardly a deterrent. Great for a date! Would come back more often if my wallet could handle it!!

I love Nobu, I have been to their other locations in Vegas, NYC, and LA. This place is right up to their high standards. I arrived 45 minutes late for my reservation, I did let them know I was running late, and they were still able to accommodate me.

As usual my go to items are no different than anyone else's so I'll just say get the Black Cod with Miso and the Rock Shrimp with Creamy Spicy Sauce if nothing else. They are truly outstanding items that I have not seen properly imitated anywhere else.

Please don't waste your time or money here. We have been coming to Nobu for the past 6 years and have loved it. But, this year something has gone wrong, something has changed. The prices have increased and the quality of the food has decreased. Our rock shrimp that is usually to die for was flavorless and small. Not worth the $30 price tag. The edamame appetizer lacked taste and seasoning. I can make better edamame at home. The miso cod had a tasty sauce but was small and served all by itself and not worth the price tag. We left with a hefty bill and empty stomachs.

David Rockwell, who designed the original Nobu, went to great lengths to replicate the current fashion in New York Japanese #restaurants for cavernous, excessively baroque rooms. There was a spacious lounge downstairs, filled with low-slung cocktail settees and a long bar of polished wood cut from what appeared to be a single gnarled cherry tree. Behind the #bar, columns of sake barrels rose dramatically toward the ceiling. Rockwell cultivates other aquatic themes in the crowded dining room and sushi bar upstairs.

That's a cool place to go! Food is really excellent. I've been living more than 10 years in Asia and visiting frequently Japan. There was nothing to complain. It's a casual place with modern interior and it is rather on the noisy with trendy music in the first floor where you find the bar, but not annoyingly loud

I have to say that this has to be the singularly most delicious Japanese food I have ever put in my mouth, and I've been Japan! The lobster was so good, I wish I didn't have to share it. I could cry just thinking about how good everything tasted. I also recommend the mini lobster tacos. The dessert was also perfection. Ahh Nobu, until next time, you'll be in my dreams.
