The food here for lunch is always fantastic. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the portions are a bit small. Big enough to fill you up but I always feel I could eat a few more bites. Atmosphere and staff are always great and they support large group lunches.

We not stay long. We had a glass of wine and appetizers. The appetizers came on a big plate. They were cold. Had to ask the waitress to correct it. She would not do anything volunteer for us. We decided to go elsewhere to have rest of the meal. She would run away from us when saw us. Talk back rude, yell and interrupt. Rush to get rid of us. Eat food while wait on us. ran away from us when saw us. The decor is nice. And parking is tight.
This is a higher end place but you certainly get what you pay for. I got the filet per our waiter s recommendation and it was tasty. I also got a house salad and it was yummy as well. Honestly, what prompted me to leave the review was the waiter. I wish I would have gotten his name. He made great recommendations and it was clear that he knew the menu very well. His knowledge of the food would lead you to believe that he created many of the recipes himself. He was so passionate about the flavors. He also handled our fairly large party effortlessly. He even anticipated the needs of our guests before the requests were even made. The food was good, and I d probably go back on a special occasion, but the service is what would bring me back on a regular basis. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Food and service were both excellent. I ordered the shrimp bisque special and the fritto misto small plate. Both were excellent. Other favorites were the pasta, the swordfish special, the fried okra and the desserts.
An awesome meal, music. Staff is very friendly and they have patio heaters for outdoor dining. We had fried oysters so juicy .. bf had the bison steak and I the pan seared flounder. Found out I loveeee smoked apples. We will def be back :).
Great food and atmosphere. Staff is also top notch. Highly recommend. If you're looking for a higher quality lunch or dinner this restaurant makes the list.
The atmosphere was great but my food was less than desirable. I order their barbecue chicken, butter beans and mash potatoes. The barbecue chicken was dry and the butter beans and mash potatoes were bland.I have had better food in a hospital. I order pecan pie for dessert and the portion was very small along with the gelato, and the pecans on the pie were bitter! My girlfriend was disappointed in her dish as well. The food was definitely not worth the price!! It was probably the worst meal that I have ever eaten for a New Years dinner.
Consistently delicious food, prepared creatively. Service is usually very good, though tonight we had a new server who's only previous experience was at Applebees. As we say around here, bless her heart. I blame management for putting her on the floor before she was ready. We'll be back; this is one of our favorites in town.
attended a graduation party on a Friday night. 16 people in attendance. it was very pleasing. our wait staff, Sam and Brandi were exemplary! the food was delicious. I enjoyed the Shrimp & Grits tremendously!
I tad pricey but you definatly get what you pay for.. This place blew my mind! The food was awesome the staff was awesome and the atmosphere was incredible.. Wish I could give more stars
We were invited to a political dinner last week, it was sensational. (The food). Service was fabulous, wine list was great, ambiance was perfect. Large group out on the patio, couldn t ask for better. A pleasure, especially since so many of our usual haunts have succumbed to the restrictions put upon them which make keeping a restaurant open next to impossible. Going to return this week.
First the receptionist was unfriendly and put us in the back of the restaurant. The food was too salty and had to tell the server about it. They didn't offer a solution. If I ever go back there, I hope I'm greeted better and they season the food properly.
One of the worst dining experiences last night I ve ever had......made reservations, arrived 5 minutes early, seated immediately. Server came and too out drink order a charcuterie tray, asked the server to have the Chef choose 3 of the offerings to include ham/meats available. Server came back and took our order and said that the item I wanted was sold out. No problem, I chose something else. Our Cocktails showed up about 15 minutes after we ordered them. We ordered a salad each, I ordered a small plate pasta dish and my wife ordered the short ribs and a single side item. After 50 minutes of seating we had been served one cocktail each and complimentary bread. The waiter was attentive and mentioned the delay to what appeared to be a manager. A few minutes later another young man brought the charcuterie tray......4 pickle slices, mustard, pickled onions, a small piece of roasted beet, 4 tiny okra halves, and some cheese slices. Nothing remotely close to ham/meat as requested. About 20 minutes later our salads showed up followed shortly by our small plates. The food once it arrived was hot and tasty. I understand that nicer restaurants are meant to be enjoyed, but it should never take 50 minutes to get the wrong charcuterie tray......and eventually a salad and 2 small plates. We scarfed down what we could as we were so aggravated we just wanted to get the hell out!!!!
High notes: Server was pretty attentive The slim younger manager came by and asked how we were doing seconds after we were seated. Food was good and hot
Low notes: 50 minutes to get nothing more than 1 cocktail each, bread, and the wrong charcuterie tray. The wait for the rest of our food wasn t far behind but after 50+ minutes delayed charcuterie tray, I wasn t going to be happy about much of anything. Others getting what appears to be your food, especially when we ordered well before them.
Did I mention they weren t remotely close to busy!!!!!
Easily the best restaurant in town. I ve been coming here for many many years and I ve never been disappointed. Excellent filet mignon. Excellent duck. Excellent crab cakes. The tomato bisque is perfection. Even during this pandemic they are excelling with take-out orders. If you haven t been here, you should probably go.
We came on a cold night with our pup when no one else was sitting outside on their beautiful back patio! (Because of the aforementioned cold) They had heaters out there and a fire pit but they were out of propane. The manager actually had someone go across the street to buy propane for the heater just for us! They brought us a dog bowl for water too. The service that followed the propane situation was outstanding, and the food was the best I ve had in a long time! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. We had such a wonderful evening here!
After work looking for nice place to eat; I stumbled upon this place. On Very sunny, beautiful, day . They had a nice professional setting, very respectful and accommodating employees.. Quite affordable menu and for your money's worth. I loved it . The Food was delicious and satisfying. Soft, cool music playing in the background. This a spot to take some on a date or just couple catching up on their together time or business trip meals .
I love the sister Roosters in Charlotte, but can only give this one four stars based on my visit. The facility is nice enough. More modern/austere than the French country decor I expected, but very attractive with a few of the trademark rooster statues scattered about . All of the floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of light and facilitate a great View. The waiter started out saying they were out of two items, one of which was nicoise, yet nicoise was not even on the menu. When we pointed that out, he explained that the menu had recently changed and they must have changed the name of the item and showed us the salad which they were out of. It had no tuna listed as an ingredient. My companion really wanted that salad so she asked if they could use whatever ingredients they had available to make something similar. The waiter checked with the kitchen and reported back they were out of too many of the ingredients. Neither the kitchen nor the waiter seemed particularly interested in making this a good experience for her. The dishes the three of us ordered, a salad, a sandwich, and an individual pizza, were all fine. The duck confit pizza was actually quite good. The waiter offered dessert without enthusiasm.
Food was amazing very clean and rustic! Oysters were so fresh! The duck was to die for so tender and juicy. One of the best Restuarant in Winston-Salem
Very nice establishment I went there when I had my Real Estate Investors meeting and this was my first time there and I had a turkey sub which was absolutely terrific
I have stopped going here due to the owner's vocal and active opposition to the Charlotte non-discrimination ordinance. If they insist on mixing politics and business, then they need to be held accountable for it by those they harm.
If that doesn't bother you, then my comments are that the food is good. Service has been good as well. It is expensive, but not out of line with the quality offered.
My friend whom lives local has been speaking so highly of this restaurant to date.. I had the pleasure of eating here and yes it lived up to its expectations and more. The menu was fantastic!!!!!! The servers were so informative and friendly 10/10.
This is a really pretty restaurant. The ambience is great. It really deserves the two stars for that. The food is pretty mediocre for my taste, and really isn t worth the price you pay. The menu is also different from what you view online which often leaves me disappointed. I ve been here a few times hoping for a different experience, but I probably won t go back.
The menu changed with higher prices. The food has been disappointing with a fried flavor to everything lately even the rice! I used to love going here but even The margaritas are less potent and less tasty. Found other better options for Mexican I'm sad to report as this had been a long standing favorite.
Tucked away in the business park off Stratford. Food is very good. Soft lighting in a high end environment. Good for a romantic date with a significant other or for business meals. Menu changes frequently but always great options to choose from. I will be returning.
We had a wonderful responsible outside meal Friday night. Food and service were excellent. Would have been a 5 star evening had not we walked thru the restaurant on our way out..restaurant was packed. People on top of each other..no masks no social distancing..no regard for others. Staff wore masks but no guests showed a moment of regard for safety. We will not support this establishment again.
Outstanding food and atmosphere, portions are very reasonable and the staff were very accommodating for our large group. Definitely a place to try in Winston!
We had a very special birthday dinner. The table was waiting for us with cute birthday decorations. Delicious food, awesome drinks and a stellar atmosphere! Be sure to ask for Heidi! She is the absolute BEST and made our experience one we won t forget! This will be our birthday dinner spot going forward for sure. Five stars all around.
One of the few restaurants in Winston-Salem that knows how to handle a busy dinner service. The food is both rustic and sophisticated, but always delicious. They have the best (and maybe only?) charcuterie plate in town, and probably the best wine list as well (with a reasonable markup). Excellent service that acknowledges and rectifies mistakes immediately, often without even having to be asked.
The food here is HORRIBLE! Tasteless and bland! Where was the Basil in the Tomato Basil Bisque? The Shrimp in the Shrimp and Grits was WAY overcooked... Like eating erasers! The Service is even worse!
I sat on the patio area and can't say enough about how enjoyable it was. The food was delicious, the service and menu/wine advice impeccable, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about Rooster's. I'll definitely be back !
It was our second time at this establishment. We like the food and ambiance a lot. However, one disappointment: Last year we enjoyed their apple bread pudding a lot and I asked if they would share this recipe. I was promised that they would email it to me. I followed up several times, to no avail. This year again I was promised the same and am still waiting...The manager, John, assured me I would get it this time.
I've been searching for the perfect dining experience complete with ambiance, super friendly and knowledgeable servers, and last but not least delicacies that serve the tastebuds with the quality that you expect from a sophisticated dining experience. This was an all around lovely and fulfilling experience. I'll most definitely be returning repeatedly. God(dess) blessed this establishment. Oh, And please have the Squash Frites (flavorful), Tomato Basil Soup (Rich and Extremely Satisfying) to Start, Top Shelf Long Island Ice Tea (Everything a LIIT Should be), Lump Crab(extremely fresh), Aioli, and the most perfect and delicious creme brulee I've ever had for dessert. The experience was soooooo fabulous that I forgot to take pictures, emerged myself in conversation, Motown was playing in the background, and enjoyed every second. 1,000 million Stars
Excellent quality southern food made from local ingredients from chefs who care about what they serve. Loved the starters, the pimento cheese, any of their salads or farm fresh sides. The char-grilled turnips, pastas and meats/cheeses are also to die for.
This place is a hidden gem. The food is farm-to-table fresh, the service is excellent, and the ambience is warm and welcoming. I have visited this establishment on several occasions and have continuously been impressed. Although the menu can change from time to time my food
