Really nice museum. A tour is usually included in the ticket. But there was no guided tour today and we still had to pay the ticket full price, I feel like it was a bit light since a tour guide would add much more to the experience and knowledge.

This Nobel Peace Center at the center of the Oslo city, Norway has a nice collection of information about all Nobel Peace laureates since the start of the Nobel Peace prize. I'm impressed with the information management and presentation styles. Entry fee is also reasonable. A must visit when ones is in Oslo.

Good to visit if you have interest in Nobel prizes and follow up on this matter. Free lockers are available here to keep your bags and other items. Ask for family ticket if you are visiting with family and there is also a shop where you can purchase souvenirs.

A very good museum depicting interesting aspects of peace. Everything is explained very well but some parts of the exhibition may be hard to take and many stories that you hear and read about are heartbreaking.

The Nobel Peace Center is a place worth visiting if you happen to find yourself in Oslo Norway. It is a place to visit to see how many people in this world has put in all they could to make a difference to this world we are living in. Men and women from different discipline, backgrounds and countries around the world.
I hope everyone could visit the Nobel Peace Center to appreciate what other great human being like them are doing to make sure that peace reign in the world.

One of very few places open on Sundays in Oslo, and that s when my friend and I visited the place. Not a lot of crowd (don t think early November is high season here, lucky for us!), so we were seen to immediately. Could get student discount (they didn t even check my card). There s a free guide, which we found very useful. The exhibition downstairs was more centred around climate change, and seemed very child-friendly (not that it mattered to us as two female adults on holiday! just guessing by the sheer number of children we encountered downstairs), while upstairs was more about the peace prize winners. Last year s winners were advocates of banning the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. Very interesting exhibition, though not so suited to younger audiences (they had tried, but some of the images were just too disturbing, see for yourselves). The little hall with all the winners on their own little screens was very interesting. The gift shop was good too, some good souvenirs to have. All in all, I consider this place a worthy destination if you re visiting Oslo with some time to spare.

The Nobel peace center was mildly interesting but I wouldn t go out of my way to visit it again. Oslo has so many amazing parks and museums that are far more worthy of one s time and attention.

Well done exhibits. Everything was translated into English. It would have been nice if they had a more detailed exhibit on all of the past winners, rather than just the highlighted winner and a computer system for studying the others.

In this place it seemed to me that everything was out of place, that is, every exhibition had no connection or connection, if not in a rather larated way, with the theme that every visitor expects to see inside the Peace Center and the only one motivation could be to fill in the empty spaces available. The only positive note I felt was the room with the photos of the people who, at the turn of the two centuries, received the Nobel Prize. The price is definitely not worth the visit.

Not as great as we were hoping. They could have done much more to tell the stories of some of the Laureates. They only focused on the most recent winners and everything else was just a 1-2 sentence summary saying that this person helped bring peace to some situation. Tries to go too broad.

Small "museum". There is an interactive installation with Nobel Peace Prize winners, a store and space for temporary exhibitions. We went because the Oslo Pass was included, I do not think it is worth paying to see this.

If you're a fan of Alfred Nobel or the Peace Prize this is a nice visit. Alfred never set foot in Oslo and when his will left instructions for the prize it was a big surprise to Norwegians! The center has good background on current and past winners.

About Nobel Peace Center

Nobel Peace Center: A Hub of Inspiration and Reflection on Peace

Nobel Peace Center is a renowned institution that showcases the works and achievements of Nobel Peace Prize laureates, as well as the history of Alfred Nobel. The center serves as a platform for discussions and reflections on current issues related to war, peace, and conflict resolution.

Located in Oslo, Norway, the Nobel Peace Center was established in 2005 to honor the legacy of Alfred Nobel, who created the prestigious award that recognizes individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to promoting peace. The center's mission is to inspire people around the world to work towards achieving peace through education, dialogue, and cooperation.

The center features various exhibits that highlight the life stories and accomplishments of past laureates. Visitors can learn about their struggles for human rights, democracy, disarmament efforts or environmental protection. The exhibits are interactive with multimedia displays such as videos interviews with laureates or virtual reality experiences.

One notable exhibit at the center is "The Nobel Field," which showcases all 135 laureates from 1901 until present day. This exhibit provides visitors with an overview of how diverse fields such as science diplomacy literature economics have contributed towards promoting peace globally.

In addition to its permanent exhibitions on past winners' achievements in promoting global harmony through their work in different fields like medicine or human rights advocacy; there are also temporary exhibitions showcasing contemporary issues related to conflict resolution efforts worldwide.

The center also hosts events such as lectures by prominent speakers from various fields like politics or academia who share their insights into current affairs related to global conflicts. These events provide an opportunity for visitors not only learn but also engage in meaningful conversations about pressing issues affecting our world today.

Moreover, there are educational programs designed for students at all levels aimed at inspiring them towards becoming agents of change by working towards creating peaceful societies locally and globally. These programs include workshops where students can learn about conflict resolution techniques while engaging with peers from different backgrounds across cultures.
