Located in a picturesque location close to the Western Ghats, this is one of the premier institutes in India for Engineering. Complete with a lot of amenities like basketball court, swimming pool, tennis and football courts and multiple food joints, this place is any engineering student's dream. Although located on a highway, public transport to this place is extremely frequent from cities like Mangalore (30 mins travel) or Manipal(1hour travel). There are quite a view scenic places of interest and a multitude of food joints in the close vicinity of this place too. The USP of this place is that it has a private beach accessible only to residents of the campus, although this entrance has timings.

The best NIT in the country, with a eminent professors and great supporting staff active student body which is great for students to collaborate with each other.
Best part the only college in Indian to have a private beach you can literally hear the sea waves crashing the shore in the night.
Though disconnected from the city all basic need can be easily found here. And great placement opportunities for students.

These students are extremely fortunate to have the twin advantage of a beautiful campus in a beautiful city, that too along the coast. I am surprised the kids get any studies done and still manage to be among the best in the country!!

National Institute of technology Karnataka Surathkal is a premier technical institute located in Mangaluru formerly known as KREC founded by Sri U Srinivasa Mallya. Started in 1960.

One of the very well known place in Karnataka is the NIT suratkal. College campus is spread out on both the sides of the National Highway. I have attend a conference here . Enjoyed the campus beach and hostel and the evening walk. So wonderful to be here. The staff and students interaction is very nice. High quality conference.

Studied computer engineering here, it is one of the best places where you can study engineering in India. Very serene, calm and peaceful. Treat for beach and nature lovers as there is a lot of greenery and a private beach.

Nice college.But the infrastructure like hostels and classrooms are very poorly maintained.

Choosing NITK has been the best academic decision of my life. The college has an active student body, and great teachers for almost every department apart from the continually evolving infrastructure. With Mangalore nearby, there is no dearth of entertainment/ restaurants/ movies options. Boarding is good in hostels, although food is not that great- the price you pay for attending a good Indian institute. Great overall experience!

I am student of NITK Surathkal. Very good campus, Excellent staff, academic blocks, good hostels. Best place to study Engineering.

This is a huge campus with pollution free.Surroundings are filled with fresh air from the tress.All the facilities like Wi-Fi,sports,huge library with a great collection of books are available. The most beautiful thing on the campus is our own college beach called the NITK Beach.Faculty is friendly and well educated almost 80% are the PHD holders.Up t0 80% students are placed every year Microsoft,Facebbok,Google,infosys etc visites every year.

I was research scholar here. One of the best NIT'S of India. Competing IIT's also. Some of the braches in NITK are not there in IIT'S. It's pleasure to be NITKIAN

One of the most prestigious university in India and among Nit's it is among top 3 college. The college campus is very beautiful with full of greenery and it has got beaches too.. located near the coastal Karnataka in the city of mangalore. The 4 years of journey was very pleasant and so many memories. I graduated here at 2020 batch of mechanical engineering.

One of the best places to do your engineering. I was a student there in ECE dept. and it has some of the best professors in the country. The place is very nice and the college has a private beach. It's pretty close to Mangalore and the transport facilities are awesome.

National Institute of Technology Karnataka is located in Surathkal and one of the top Engineering College of Karnataka. This Institute has very great infrastructure and lab facilities are really good here. They also have their own research centers. Campus of NITK is very clean and good.

Full grernary and peaceful place but PG hostels not good
