NITK is my alma mater. Studied here in the 1990's when it was called KREC. One of the Best Engineering colleges and campuses in india.
Lives are made here. Campus life shapes your personality. I was not much of an academic success, did not pursue a career in Computer Engg which I studied here. But I succeeded in many other areas and I fully owe it to the environment here. Blessed to have spent best years of my life here.

I simply loved my NITK ?, (structural engineering )...bz it is one of the topmost NIT in India which is having best campus with its own beach and teaching faculties are very well n supportive...

Education and enjoyment both can be balanced here.Near to sea shore .

Its an awesome place for your graduation helps for an all round development of yours.It has all the facilities like sports ground,swimming pool,gym,hair salon,laundry, ATM all inside the campus. This is the only college with a private beach.College is located at the heart of many tourist places like Murudeshwar,Coorg,Udupi,Wayanad,Kodachadri,Agumbe,Hanumangundi falls,Gokarna which are like weekend getaways.It has excellent connectivity through railways and airways.public transport is available at all times (06:00-23:00)at cheap rates. The Mangalore city which is 20Km from campus is a fully Gdeveloped city, it has 3 malls with cinepolis,PVR,BIG cinemas for movies. it has KFC,PIZZAHUT,DOMINOS,CCD,MCDONALDS. Mangalore is a very pocket-friendly city providing the entertainment. The night life is above average and there is a "nite canteen" in college serving firstv quality food as late as 3 in the morning which is the awesome feature. NITK is the only college with a private beach of it's own. then there are fests, musical nights,Dj nights which are better than the fancy ones in the cities costing you a fortune. don't worry about the spoken language of region, most of them speak Telugu, Hindi apart from kannada. I pretty much covered everything in and around of campus.

It has got basketball , badminton , tennis, kho kho courts, swimming pool, cricket ground and gyms. The campus offers a serene place to develope your knowledge with all the higly qualified faculties and lab facilities.

Only two seasons. Summer or Rainy. Anyway umbrella is a must. And only college with a private beach. Had a good time.

One of the most memorable 4 years of my life in NITK, the faculty and the administration being student friendly. Thank you the NITK community, will go down as a memory which I will always reminisce looking back.

Beautiful location abetting the Arabean Sea. Well laid our plan. Most of the buildings were built sometime back. Architecturally they all look typical government buildings. Campus is maintained well.

Worst hostel
Very very old building first years will not be able to adjust that well ..i guess hostel suck so please find alternative methods to stay also in case u don't like ... everyone will have a common toilet which means entire hostel block uses one toilet any questions please do ask

One of the best institution for aspiring engineers. Got a chance to visit the institute during a conference held there by mechanical engineering department. They have most of the research facilities. The campus is neat and clean and are well maintained. The facilities they offer are at par with IITs. Visit the beaches also if you go there.

It's just the best place in the world to study in...

It's a very big campus with beach on one side of the campus. It feels great to visit such a top college of India. Hostels are good with every facility. You have small canteens at every point. All types of sports courts are there. Different buildings for different departments. The college is situated on outskirts of Suratkhal. The beach is at walking distance from college. Hostelites generally go there in the evening.

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College, is a public engineering university at Surathkal, on the outskirts of Mangalore.

I have visited here twice. It is a very vast and such a nice campus.

The infrastructure looks solid. The management is also good.

The Institute is well furnished and organized institution and its included all recreational activities, high class sport facilities and gymnasium with yoga center if you want to take rest there is gusthouses based on your interest with a minimum rupees stating from one hundred rupee. The area nears to beach. I love everything the sight of the institution. I recommended to visitors to visit and enjoy.

I'm a proud alumnus of this institute. I recently visited the campus 10 years after graduation and was thoroughly impressed by all the development over these years. This institute has great facilities, great programs, and most of all, a great student atmosphere.
