One of the top-ranking engineering colleges in India, this institute has a lot to offer, from high-end lab facilities to good professors. The infrastructure does have some room for improvement, but one wouldn't be disappointed with this college.
The hostels though, need some pretty big improvements, not that they are uninhabitable, but things could get much better if only a few small things were looked into.
Overall, it is worth joining this college.

Well maintained institute with good facilities and also good beach for evening walk

There may be no other college in India which is having beach in front of college which looks beautiful even after ur 100th visit.

Amazing place to grow. You get a lot of exposure to each kind of domain whether it may be related to academics or other extra curricular activities. Faculties are good but as always an individual's efforts is all that's going to count. Infrastructure is fantastic with state of the art labs(take any department),computer labs, comfortable hostels and sports arena. Assisted support of Technical and other club activities really provides you a good platform to learn things. Placements are really exceptional and fantastic with IT-firms rushing into the college to grab best talents at the earliest and if you are in circuit or core branches then a good healthy job is almost guaranteed. The college is filled with lots of fun and excitement in association with free environment to work and bloom. The Technical and cultural fests are really awesome,one of the biggest in South Asia. Last but not the least the Beach is very pleasant and it's the only college to have its own private beach. So overall if you are enthusiastic and ready to put efforts, this is a very good place to be.

NITK is quite a peaceful place to study. There are lots of places to explore nearby. The college also has one of the country's best research equipment. Placements and packages offered are comparable to most of the IITs. NITK has one of the most beautiful campus in India.

I'm the student of NITK, it is the only one campus in India with sea beach and light house.This is a huge campus with pollution free.Surroundings are filled with fresh air from the tress.All the facilities like Wi-Fi,sports,huge library with a great collection of books are available. The most beautiful thing on the campus is our own college.

Consistently ranked in the top 10 colleges in India with many renowned faculty. Situated 30 mins from the city, the campus is beautiful with lots of greenery and a private beach!

Buildings are very old and need serious renovation but the weather is quite pleasant.

Who doesn't like college life, what if it is very close to a beach, can't imagine right, exactly, NITK is one of the few colleges in the world, if I may say so, very close to sea and has a private beach in its name.
I am a former student of NITK, batch of 2013 and I am proud to say that I am NITKian, cause my college life in NITK completely changed me.
If there is anybody who would like to experience a thrilling college life, this is the college you should opt to.
As you know, this is one of the top technical institutes in India.
It is well maintained with lot of greenery and managed by good management.
This is the place for nerdy people and party people and people who doesn't belong to neither groups. Has well built buildings, well equipped labs and good faculty.
NITK is about 20 KM far from Mangalore city, so if you're searching for a place to hangout, it's not too far.
Even though hostel was very good, the hostel food was not upto the mark. So, you might want to save your pocket money, because there are plenty of places to eat food, inside the campus and outside of it.
When it comes to teaching facility, it has a good library and private study rooms and free computer center.
College has two big playing grounds, indoor stadium for table tennis and badminton, separate court for basketball, volleyball and tennis.
And, there is a big, well maintained swimming pool.

So, what else you need, get ready to crack the entrance exam and join this fantastic, marvelous college.

One of the best NITs in India. Superb campus and one of the best placements among all NITs. A lot of research facilities are available with good infrastructure. The hostel facilities are also good for both boys and girls. The labs are also good with latest equipments. The campus is very beautiful and maintained well with some good gardens. There are also some good canteens for students where you get healthy food. The NIT is situated about 20 km away from the city, you can reach there by the city buses.
