Server took our food before we could finish it. And we weren t able to say anything. Nice venue. Ok theater. Servers are constantly going through. Which like I know is the business model. But they re way less disruptive at Alamo draft house.

Such a great visit here. We were visiting from the uk for a week and got caught in a snowstorm day. We figured there was nothing better than sitting in a warm cinema with popcorn and beer, and we weren t disappointed. The trailers (which I assume were created by Nitehawk) were on point.

Food in movie. Didn't think that would be a great idea as I thought the server would be walking around interrupting the movie a lot, but they have a system worked out it was not disturbing at all.
Overall great experience and will definitely come back!

So cute, so Brooklyn. A fun way to enjoy a movie with a friend or a date. Brews and food served to you by a silent waiter in the dark.

Translation, order $4 Miller High Life (YAAS) and try the truffle butter popcorn, I dare you!

I love indie movies, and this is the place to get your fill of them. The atmosphere is very basic: just a ticket booth and screening room. I really like it, though: it's the kind of old-time movie theater that is rapidly becoming a rarity. Tickets are quite inexpensive as well! Just check what's playing online, but it's hard to go wrong: it's always something interesting.

Best date night spot. The food is perfect. I have never been disappointed by any food or beverage there. Exceptional veggie burger. Everything is very reasonably priced. The previews are always delightful so I recommend coming 30 minutes before to get a good seat and to enjoy the previews. Seating is comfortable and are a good height for people on the shorter side even if someone tall is in front of you.

Just saw Barbarella as part of the midnight screening series and had a blast. Food/drink service was great and not too disruptive. Theater itself is old-school but the seats are comfy and the projector was working best movie experience I have had in NYC, even beats the 84th street 6 recliners.

The movie theater and employees were nice/clean. However, the food selection was disappointing in comparison to other dine in movie theaters. Not worth the trip to Brooklyn if you don't live close.

As an ardent cinephile establishments like Nitehawk are a breath of fresh air among Regals, AMCs, and the like. Let it be known - Nitehawk Cinema is a movie theater for movie lovers.

I go to the Williamsburg location almost every weekend for their midnight screenings of B-Horror movies, interesting documentaries, and obscure films. Their selection of recent releases juxtaposed with B-movie "deep cuts" and events keep the movie theater both accommodating to casual movie goers and cinephiles alike. Their events are great too! (See "Spoons, Toons, & Booze"). There aren't enough great about this place: friendly/accomodating staff, great late-night film selections, and very clean theaters. I love my weekend excursions to Nitehawk and am excited to see what they come up with next.

Went here to catch phantom threads. Tickets for the 430 show we're under 13 each which was nice. You get plenty of leg room since the space is needed for the wait staff. I was a tad worried about that aspect and how it would interfere with the movie experience. These were soon put to rest and I never felt guilty about ordering refills on my beer. We ordered a chicken sandwich, the pork tacos and an appetizer of brussel sprouts and kimchi. The star from the trio were the brussel sprouts by far. The other two were no stragglers but that goes to show you how much we enjoyed the brussel sprout spicy kimchi combo. First time here will be back! If you keep your stubs it's a blanket $5 dollar draft beer at their bar low res on the ground floor.

Was my first time with my wife there. Service was really bad. They brought us chicken we didn t order and Aperol we didn t order (twice) and our waiter was trying to insist it was ours when the woman next to us told her she ordered an Aperol. Had to wait 45 min for popcorn and 30 min for a bottle Prosecco and the server gave us major attitude when we tried to complain saying the theater is full. Really disappointed considering these people have been in business for a while. Alamo is way better.

Update:

The management went above and beyond to make it up for us. I really appreciate and respect the effort. We went back me and my wife and everything was good.

This movie theater isn t the best but it s the best in Williamsburg. The staff is very hospitable as they serve you in your seat as you watch a movie. This could have been a 4 star review but since this theatre isn t really up to date with new movie releases it gets a hold back for me. It s better then Williamsburg cinemas that s for sure. Would like to see an expanded menu I think that would help as well. But if your in the area and your not looking to go out of your way in the city and you wanna watch a movie you ve seen 10 years ago maybe this might be your place. Not a terrible place to take a date. Has potential but needs a push

best cinema, ever. Fine drinks, meals, and prices for it all. Previews and special food and drinks have A LOT of thought put into them with themes that are plays against particular movies they are playing during that particular point in time. I kinda hate myself for letting others know about it because I don't want it to overpopulate. So ..ugh...just kidding.

This place is my go to for movie watching. The experience is always top notch. Beware: if you like a no interruption movie experience, this is not the place for you. There is food and drink service throughout the movie which doesn't bother me but some friends have commented on it as a distraction. On that note, the food and drinks here are great albeit a little basic. After the movie take your stub down stairs to the lo res bar for a 5$ draft.

I don t even want to write this review because it is already pretty hard to get tickets there but I hope it will help them to expand to other areas of New York too. This is my favorite movie theater so far. The food was AMAZING. The service is great. Prices are great too. It is just too small for the amount of visitors they have. Almost all new movies are there. I am giving 4 starts only because the only minus is that you cannot choose seats when you buy tickets that s why you have to come reeeeally early to take good ones. Also not enough bathroom for that flow of people. I am very excited there is gonna be a Nigthhawk close to Prospect Park soon!

Always a great selection of foreign and indie films, with dinner & drinks service in the theater. Food and cocktails are curated to movie selection. Seats are limited and the front row is nauseatingly close to the screen, so arrive 30 minutes early.

After I heard from locals that this is a cinema where you can eat full meals and have a pint of beer - I couldn't pass a chance to have this experience! Great burgers, good movie, and surprisingly - no loud eaters . A definite must try!

Great neighborhood cinema house with table service, which includes everything from popcorn to dinner, available throughout the movie. Even if you're just there to chill and imbibe, they have a full bar with a decent wine and beer selection. The movie lineup is great, especially if you enjoy an emphasis on independent film.

My go to movie theater. The small theaters sell out quickly on the weekends but are perfect during the week. Have been to a few movies where I was one of maybe 6 people total in the theater. The waiters are great at not disturbing the movie at all. Can't speak to the food as I have always felt it was too pricey but decent drink selection.

My girlfriend and I's favorite place in Brooklyn, and an absolute must for people in the area. This isn't your average big chain movie theater, they play a wide range of movies ranging from Indie, to Old School Classics to new releases.

The theater has two full bars, and the seats in the theater come with small table with a menu where you can order drinks and food. Sometimes they will have special menu items to go with what is playing.

Popular movies, especially around holidays (I'm talking about Home Alone during Christmas) sell out really quickly in advance, so keep an eye out. The brunch screenings are always fun, but they also do special midnight showings around certain themes. One tip: arrive early, seats are first come, first serve and the theaters are generally 30 - 50 seats. Even if you get there early, you have access to the bar while you're in line.

The movie ticket is cheap, but that's only 1/2 the reason you should go. Their theaters are intimate, and the truffle popcorn is so good you'll slap your momma. Whether you want to see an obscure indie film or something a little more mainstream, Nitehawk has what you're looking for. TIP: buy your tickets a day in advance or at least a few hours before and try to show up at least an hour before showtime. It's so good that it gets crowded really quickly.

Great theater with excellent food. They often show fantastic old films and often have events and screenings. A haven to those that love film or people who just want to get ripped and take a nap during a film. Don't nap if you are a snorer.

I come all the way from Selden NY in Long island to watch movies here. This place has great drinks great food and an awesome atmosphere. It's not going to your typical theater. Staffs laid back and friendly. Theaters aren't huge so if your interested in a movie whether it be a new movie or an older movie being played in get your tickets sooner than later. There's not better or more intimate movie going experience than nitehawk!

The pricing is pretty good and the theaters are a nice size. Every tuesday and thursday is a cheaper price which should draw in more customers, very smart thinking. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. Everything's pretty good, the workers are polite.

Always a fun time at the Nitehawk. This is a great spot for a night out with friends or a kitschy place to bring a date. For cheaper than market price (only $12) you get a clean, comfortable theatre with comfy seats and-luxury of luxuries-table service! The booze is reasonably priced (for Williamsburg) and the food is tasty. Try the food and drink specials: a meal or snack and cocktail punnily tied to the films currently being screened. And after the show, go downstairs to the theatre's own bar, Low-Res, for a $5 draft or well drink after showing your ticket stub.

The movie selection here tends to be very good, which, to me, this is the main draw. The facilities and the food/drink are good, but not amazing. This movie selection vs. amenities trade-off is the other way around for iPic at Fulton; that said, also consider that Nitehawk is less expensive.

This is my favorite movie theater in existence. They play old movies, cult classics and themed marathons in addition to new releases. They serve food and drink throughout the films, and everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. For most films, they created custom food or drink options to match the theme or some play on words. Each pair of seats has a triangular table in between it for food and drink. Orders are written on a piece of paper and placed in a holder at the edge of the table do the server can grab it quickly and without interruption of the film. There are small lights under the table to help with reading the menu but they don't distract from the cinematic experience.

They serve up some great cocktails here. Had a blast last night with my girl. We ended up watching the Joker movie and it was great. Might do it again next weekend to watch Jojo Rabbit.

Almost like having your own high end personal theater. Cozy movie experience with top notch food and beverage service. The seating is limited but no matter which you pick its always a good view.

I got to say, as more and more theaters start to offer a more full experience on food and drink as well as a unique pre-movie experience (Also Alamo), I firmly believe the movie theater industry will do well. It is hard to find a night when Nitehawk Cinema is not pack/busy, as the place has great food, as well as some great cocktails. The theater is a little dated, but I think that adds to mystique of the theater itself, as we continuously move more and more into the digital future. Like its not dirty or anything, but definitely has character that I feel just gives this place so much more character, and again the food, the drinks, the people, are all great. Great date spot. Unique films are always playing here.

Going to this movie house is definitely an experience! The food is delicious; I especially recommend the tater tots with queso fresco sauce. I especially love coming here for the monthly Spoons, Toons, & Booze cartoon series!

This Brooklyn cinema is one of the most special in New York.

The grace is that in front of the seats you have a small table, and you can have dinner or drink there during the movie. There is a fairly extensive menu, and you just have to write down what you want and the waiter picks up the order during the movie and brings you the plate. For each movie there are themed dishes and cocktails on the menu (yes, you can drink alcohol inside the room).

As for the movies, they focus on independent cinema and repositions of classics. The cinema is always full, so you better buy tickets in advance.
