The way they've dealt with north east link has been great. From a residents view. It's real important and I don't like being at meetings. They made it come through Facebook which was great and the mayor is really strong in supporting us with the corridors that wouldn't wreck the green wedge. Great work and thanks

I do not understand the current Councillors agenda it does not reflect the communities voice. The poor Council staff who genuinely care about the natural area and protecting the natural/community assets are basically gagged and told to tow the line. Rates payers funds are wasted on grandiose plans and schemes that the community don't want. How about Council concentrates on supporting local services/groups who help and strengthen the community rather than trying to force them out.

Did not receive our rates notices for over 10 months, until i contacted them. Their response was we sent it out. No process in place from their end for a situation like this, pretty much said bad luck and we will give you some further time to pay. Staff were unhelpful at best. Super high rates as well and i now have next years rates to pay as well.

We bought land in diamond creek from a subdivision. The build has been held up due to the council taking 9 months to decide on a path and road shape (court). Now that we can finally submit plans, finally! And all finalised! But can t get in touch with the one person dealing with all the planning process, this has been happing since oct. I understand over Christmas and New Years is an expected delay due to holidays (which I don t get because I work in a hospital) and considing it s now feb. I keep calling but get put through to other people that can t answer any questions regarding the delay but can speak on behalf of the person I wish to talk to. The longer this takes, the less time we have to build and get out first home owners grant. Very disappointed with the communication and professionalism. If you are desperate for any reply you are best to email, but the questions are still there. If there is a problem the council is best to be honest and communicate this so we can rectify it and enable us the chance to plan ahead

I spoke to Fiona today about changing to a smaller hard rubbish bin and swapping to a larger green waste bin. She took care of my request in a friendly and polite manner.
Fiona also informed me that my rates would receive a discount for doing so, which is nice.
That s my first dealings with Council and I was happy with the service and result.

All they care about is getting paid. Find another job if you're not willing to help people in need. Absolutely disgusting. And the most disgraceful part about all of this is that not 1 person can take responsibility.
Hope you're all happy.

Have had to speak to the council,on several occasions recently, re drainage problems. Always found the staff most helpful, and pleasant.
My problem appears to have been resolved. I think some residents expectations on what the council should do, and the time frame that they should do it, are way too high. People are not sitting around waiting for your call to attend to trivial matters. Just because you pay rates doesn't mean that council staff are at your beck and call. If this is the service you demand, and expect, be prepared to pay a hell of a lot more.
