A housing corporation which is located in the center of Groningen. The offices of Nijestee can be found in the relatively young building "the Damsterpoort".



Nijestee is a cooperative with around 13,000 homes in and around the city of Groningen for rent. The building has a large number of solar panels on the sloping part of the roof and in the building itself glass floors through which one can look to and from the underlying parking.

Their worker woke me up early morning demanding that I move my car for them. No please, no thank you, no prior notice. Very unprofessional and rude!

I have not even got the keys to my house, but have been bullshit now. I would get a new kitchen because the old one was in a very old condition during the viewing. Then when signing the lease it all suddenly stopped. After a long push, I finally received a new kitchen counter. I am curious as I make my appointment as

House is full of mold and I live with small children of which the youngest also has asthma, this will come to them because I do not ventilate my house properly, then every year more and more rent ask! and not even to mention the sewerage service of nijestee that is carried out by van der velde sewerage. It goes on for 6 months and the residents have to pay a lot for the inconvenience. 749 if you are incapacitated for work, are seriously ill and are no longer too broad, and 100 less per month if you have a job. For exactly the same house in terms of size.

You must carry out renovation yourself when taking over a home. You are not quickly helped by the housing corporation.

Bad company! Have your entire household contents thrown away and their customers left in the cold!

Imagine that you have to leave your home due to renovation, and that before the deadline your home is emptied on behalf of Nijestee and that your belongings have disappeared and destroyed. Such a landlord is Nijestee.
Nor is it that Nijestee takes its responsibility and compensates all plausible damage. Nijestee argues that you must first prove that what you claim as lost, you actually owned. And the photos and records that can prove this have disappeared precisely at the hands of Nijestee. This is an anti-social landlord!

Cowardly dogs! Do not stick to the deadline and then try to take your hands off the damage that this company has caused itself. They should put you out on the street and just throw everything out.

Really happened: Nijestee places drug-addicted second chance above our home. Man is protected by Nijestee and can be a nuisance for many years without consequences. If we report the nuisance, Nijestee will turn against us. Information that is only intended for the counselor ends up with the addicted man. The addicted man then threatens us and uses physical violence. Nijestee and the local police officer do little and are under the supervision of the supervisor. Long story short: we were forced to move, a drug-addicted man still lives there.

Incredibly fast, workers are really understanding, friendly and help as much as they can. Highly recommended.

Visited for a working visit. Nice office and special in terms of decor.

Serious incidents have occurred in both my previous housing complex and current flat, both in Nijestee. Nijestee itself could not do anything about the incidents, but of course he could do about communication and solving the problems that arose afterwards. In both cases, that communication was completely inadequate.

Internally, the employees of each other have no idea what they are doing. You make agreements (black and white!) About repairs or contact moments with one employee, which is then never registered or passed on to the right people, leaving you waiting endlessly at home. Or technicians and professionals who just drop by without an appointment. That has now happened four (!) Times in 5 months. Callback requests that are not fulfilled, employee A who says that something is possible, after which employee B says a day later that it is really not possible ... Extremely tiring. Or that you can wait eight days for a leak repair. It's unimaginable.

But also external communication, the information they promise with new developments and new information about the incident: nothing. We should all get that from the media. Or the letter we received without warning: "the preliminary investigation into the future of the flat is complete and your flat is likely to be demolished". With only a line about when the follow-up investigation will be completed and when the decision will become final (autumn), but zero information about what your rights as a resident are after such a decision. Communication that creates unrest and adds rather than removes concerns.

Compensate for the damage, take responsibility, if one had thought more about the tenant and had paid that change, this larger and more expensive damage would not have occurred, stupid, really stupid. Those who have made this choice should not be at the helm of such a large organization. This is PR damage that you will be attached to for years to come. Deserved too.
