They need a new check in system. Very poor especia...

They need a new check in system. Very poor especially when you have a guard assigning doors and a clerk not to mention the waiting period from outside to check in is approximately 1 to 2 hours at times. Then you have to be unloaded and wait for check in and paperwork.

only a couple things just make sure your pallets ...

only a couple things just make sure your pallets are stacked to their specifications ,your pallets aren't missing any boards ,and you have all your paperwork and it's correct.follow those three things and it's smooth sailing .miss one and your doomed lol !!!!great place ,great people, great place to deliver to

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, one of Nicholas delivery drivers pulled into a bicycle lane, cut me off and then slammed on its breaks causing me to to crash into the back of the truck. I was thrown from my bike into oncoming traffic. I flagged down the driver, because he was oblivious to what had just happened, forced him to pull over so I could give him a piece of my mind. I called the number on the back of the truck to report his poor driving skills and still have not heard anything back from Nicholas.

Truck driver is ridiculous, he tried to run me of the road at 6 am. Yes I was passing him on the left, i have used this road for the past 10 years, and I have never seen this happen. The reason I passed was because he was driving extremely slow and even stopped at the intersection of 7800 south and 6700 west, which is not a stop. He stated he drive with idiots all the time... that's nice but maybe he should drive the speed limit and not try to run other drivers off the road. This driver just made your company look really bad. Anger issues have no business behind the wheel of commercial truck. Please get your drivers anger management. FYI I do have a picture of the drivers door as well.

I am so happy with all my interactions with Nicholas and Company. From my salesman, Brian Southworth who is always willing to do whatever needs to be done to get me what I need. If I forget to order it he is always willing to get it to me. To the Accounts payable clerks who always are happy to help me with my account. Thrilled with our driver, Jorge, who puts our order into the spots we need it to be and out of our way, and he does all that at 5 am. We have so much fun at the food shows we go to. Everyone is always so kind and willing to let my nephew eat all their macroons. LOL!

So here s another story about why I love Nicholas!

I messed up and forget to order some items from Sysco (yes the S word). It's a Saturday so I quickly double check my inventory and see that I can get all these things from Nicholas. I call my Nicholas Salesman, Brian Southworth. He quickly gets my order into the system. He tries to email / text all the Nicholas salesman in the system and see if anyone is coming from Nicholas and driving towards Heber so that they could bring them up to me. He then offers to go and get all the things for me. I reassure him that I will go get them, this isn t his mistake. He keeps insisting that he will go get them, but I know he really has stuff to do and I can drive fast to Nicholas.

I head to will-call but I am going to be there about 15 minutes after they are suppose to close. I call and they will wait for me. When I arrive at Nicholas they have my order all ready to go. I am at Nicholas maybe FIVE minutes total.

Nicholas has the best customer service IN THE WORLD. I am always pleased with every interaction I have ever had when dealing with the Will-Call department. They are always pleasant and happy to help with my orders. All the Nicholas Family of employees I have ever met have gone way beyond being helpful. They have all become part of our family.

I am proud to serve Nicholas products, and I am so proud to see that they get what customer service truly means. I am happy to call Nicholas my Main supplier.

The people are honestly great to deal with. They are good spirited and eager to help.
It is just slow and laborious getting anything done.

They have gotten better than what they were 15 years ago. Where they were slow and eager to be slower if you complained.

You see all this truck including me at least they got door al ready and i am waiting for that swift at door 34. we checked at 0700 now it s 1200 and we still here, so think before you book a load to here, the positive reviews are made by them not truck drivers, just spook to one of their driver and confirmed about their actions toward drivers and positive reviews, By the way i am a company driver. Our Nicholas representatives, salesmen and women, and our delivery men are always cheerful and so helpful. Your products are always in very good shape, the produce is fresh and clean. If I do have to return or refuse a product, it is refunded with no problems or harrassements.

Went to check in at 4 was told I was early because something messed up in their system, told to check in every 30-60 minutes kept being told they didn't have a door for me yet. When there were clearly 6 open, 9am finally get told to back into one of said six doors. I'm now 8 hours past my appointment and still have a third of a trailer full.

Truck entrance from 5600. Do not accept earlier than 20-15 min before appointment time. Capstone lumper service. Fast unloading but long counting and paperwork processing. I had 10 pallets and they took them out within 7 minutes but after that I was waiting 1 hour for lumper fee amount.

Not the most enjoyable place to get unloaded. Although the unload time wasn't long for 15 pallets, the lumper here don't pay attention to the paperwork and remove pallets that do not belong to them. If you have other stops let them know upon check in or they will take it all off. The lumpers here damage and remove load locks without returning them to the trailer. You have to double check before leaving. Some of us are owner ops and can't afford to spend 30 to 50 dollars for new load locks everytime we unload especially when 3 to 5 go missing or get damaged.

I used to work for this company a few years ago. They have a security guard and police officer at night to prove I used to work there.
The training is abysmal and too short. Not IN DEPTH as it should be.
Yeah they have a good break room and halfway decent pay. But the morale among employees was low. You have to work HARD here. Be FAST and ACCURATE.
Main trainer was C. Letter of his first name. So condescending and made you feel dumb.He needs to be more professional and nicer. I wish they treated their employees better and had better benefits and more in depth training. Their bonus program was so COMPLICATED!
I'm not a religious man but I will pray for the employees that work there currently.

I SEND TRUCKS IN HERE TO UNLOAD ON A WEEKLY BASIS. THE LUMPER SERVICE IN MY OPINION IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS. THEY MAKE UP HOW MANY PALLETS YOU HAVE, THEY CHARGE YOU WHATEVER THEY WANT. CHANGE THE BASE PRICE ALL THE TIME. AND I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH 1 CASE HERE AND THERE ALWAYS MISSING FROM THEM. I JUST SENT A TRUCK IN WITH LTL ASKED THEY LEAVE THE PRODUCT THAT WAS NOT THERES ON THE TRUCK BUT THEY PULLED IT OFF. I ASKED TO HAVE IT PUT BACK ON THE TRUCK. SO THEY PUT THEM BACK ON THE TRUCK IN THE NOSE TURNED SIDEWAYS SO WE COULDN'T PULL THEM OUT WITH THE PALLET JACK... .I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THEM.

I love Nicholas! their customer service is exceptional. I always get a quick response to any questions i have. They are always adding new items to the order guide.My favorite part of NIcholas (besides their customer service) is that they always feature local items on their order guide as well as hosting the Utah's Own section at the food show. It is great to be able to support our local communities and NIcholas makes that possible.

I have had the same driver with Nicholas and co for the last 2 years. Brandon is the Best delivery guy the company has!! Never misses a box, always on time, very nice always have a fun conversation when he comes. Nicholas and co has fresh products all the time, they're easy to work with, and always get my order right! Overall Completely satifisied with the service and products from the company!!

I've done business with Nicholas for over 30 years. My salesman has always gone above and beyond to make things great for my business. He makes me feel as if he cares as much about my business as I do. I highly recommend Nicholas to any who are in the food service industry. They have quality products with good prices.

While we were in business with this company, they were very good at working with us and helping our restaurant. After we sold our business, however, any interaction with them was cold, and at times hostile, specifically with one of their credit analysts Rhonda. It's a shame they don't value previous loyal customers.

Well after being told I was 2 hours early they finally put me in a door at7. Now its 9:09 and there just starting. They ,no the Capstone lumper service told me 17 pallets have to break down to 41 when there's only 19 varieties of lettuce on the f_______ trailer.I was also told they have 4 hours free before I can charge detention time. This is piss poor management on Nicholas and there receiving department. I called a couple friends in the restaurant business while setting here and they had nothing good to say about Nicholas. The way I see there time is the only important time and piss on everyone else's. I deal with U S FOODS also not just in Utah but every where and they are the best in the food industry on handling there incoming shipments.

I would give zero stars if I could. This is the worst company to work for in salt lake. They dont care about there employees. They will run you 15-16 hours strait until your back breaks. Everybody is rude as hell here and the training is dismal to none. VERY difficult to get a pay raise the way they have this circus set up. Avoid at all costs

My husband was just yelled at by the lady behind the counter of receiving and transportation. He was told and i quote " these God Damn (our company name) drivers are always late they are never on time". What this disrespectful unprofessional woman doesn't understand is we had to drive around and through tornandos, snow storms, lighting storms, hail storms, wind storms and we were shut down for three days in total for SAFETY just to get this load half away across the country. This woman should really be ashamed of herself and should not be allowed to use God's name in vain. That is probably the worst part. Totally a heart breaking moment to have someone attack and use God's name in vain. Unprofessional, totally unprofessional and disrespectful. I would rather be late than dead. No load of ketchup is worth our lives lady.

I have been a customer and supplier to Nicholas for many years now. Throughout that time, this company has treated mine with nothing but respect and honesty. No other supplier in the Idaho or Utah area treats people who work with them as well as Nicholas, and I felt compelled to write this after seeing the atrocious reviews posted by all these people, in 5 years, I have not once had a bad experience with this company.

4 hours and $280.00 to unload and count 12 pallets. That wouldn't be so bad if the girl for Capstone wasn't just as rude and disrespectful as she could be of that it made me an hour and a half late for my next stop that cost me another $250.00 late fee and a work in at the end of the shift that ultimately makes me 24 hours late for my last appointment that is sure to cost even more.

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting, keeping drivers waiting for 6+ hours to unload and paper work, and having to pay $126 for it, despite the fact of being on time? despicable! This company has no integrity and cares little for drivers. Be prepared to wait if you are delivering here.

My del appt was 5am. Started unloading me at 5:45a...

My del appt was 5am. Started unloading me at 5:45am. They finished with me 6 hrs later. My fellow driver was still in the dock too. This has made me late for my next del appt, and now i will have to wait till tomorrow to deliver my remaining 10 pallets. Lumper charge of $304.00 to unload dry freight of paper products off my truck. There is also a $4 extra charge tacked on if you pay by check. You can lump your own freight .There is no overnite parking. There is a gut wagon that shows up at 8am for something to eat.
