Obee's Restaurants and New York Burrito Review

Located opposite the famous Sukh Sagar at Lakozy Mansion in Girgaon Chowpatty Sea Face; New York Burrito Company (NYBC) is a Vegetarian Mexian outlet which you need to visit for the love of the Mexican Food. They also serve JAIN food. They have customised the spread to suit Indian taste with Mexican authenticity and they allow you to customise the dishes as per the needs. We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. Parking is a little problem here as its on the main road so you need to either come in public transport or find parking space at a distance and walk down here.

They have made the place nice with a big serving size portion on the right where you can see your food being prepard and the best part is everything is customizable. They have 3 tables with 4 chairs each for sitting downstairs and also few high chairs on the side and have an upper area for sitting too which was occupied with kids party on the day of our visit.

Below is our food review:

*SET PLATOS:*
# Nachos In-house crispy tortilla chips topped with a variety of sauces as per the need namely - cheesy sauce, Salsa Verde which is green tomato sauce, Salsa Roe which is red chilli base sauce, along with Smoky Brown Salsa which is Beans and Mexican Herbs.
# Mexican Creamy Potatoes Fried potatoes topped with cheese sauce. We felt this to be average as it was cold and basically just friend potatoes with cold sauces. This could be looked into.

*DRINKS:*
# Dragon-Fruit Lemonade & Hibiscus Mint Lemonade Made with Dragon fruit pulp and sugar syrup used while preparing it; we personally found it to be average.
# Hibiscus Mint Lemonade A fresh juice extract from the Hibiscus (flower) adding mint, lemon and sugar syrup this was little better than dragon fruit lemonade but still average.
They can add more options to it. They offer Red bull and aerated beverages apart from this.

*BASE FOOD:*
# Make Your Own Mexican Bowl We opted for customised Mexican Bowl and this was a full meal in itself. You have various options to choose from i.e. choose your ingredients from MAIN i.e. Paneer/Tofu/Potatoes/Mushroom/Tex Mex Veggies; from the HOT section i.e. Brow Rice/White Rice/Fajitas/Pinto Beans/BlackBeans/Refried Beans followed by COLD options i.e. Guacamole/Pico De Gallo/Salsa Fresca/Cheese Sauce/Sour Cream/Lettuce/Ensalada De Maiz (Corn salsa)/Jalapenos/Green Chillies and some SAUCES i.e. Salsa Roja/Salsa Verde/Chipotle Mayo/Smoky Salsa. We loved this one and would recommend you to try this if you don t want a burrito and simply want to relish all your food in the bow. RECOMMENDED !!

# Mexican Burrito This is another gem; their specialty and try if you love burrito wraps. This can also be customised as per the above options already written in the Mexican Bowl. We customised it and opted for medium size burrito which was topped with various of our options. This is another meal in itself too and your tummy will be heavy after finishing either this or he burrito bowl unless you are gonna share the food. Its tasty, filling and delicious. RECOMMENDED TOO!!

Overall, we had a nice food experience at the NYBC. They provide eco-friendly wooden spoons and forks and also the place is kept neat and clean. The staff is good and friendly and knows the food in detail too. This is a good place for quick Mexican meals. Just one down side is that they do not have any desserts as of now.Washroom is available. The place is value for money and served good Mexican healthy food too. Definitely worth trying this place.

What stands out - The authentic mexican dishes.

Came here on a weeknight for a casual dinner with a friend. The place is small but very well made. Its a QSR concept but gives a lot more personal touch as compared to an average QSR. The tables are few and pretty cramped up but thats by design. They have some Mexican props lying around for you to try such as the sombrero.

The services is pretty good for a QSR. The servers know enough to help you choose what to call for. The burrito is amazing and highly recommended. The Nachos are also not to be missed. The place is open till pretty late to satisfy your late night cravings.

We called for the following
1. Classic customised burrito - 10/10
2. Burrito bowl (customised) - 8/10
3. Quesadillas - 9/10
4. Nachos with dips - 9/10
5. Dragon fruit lemonade - 9/10
6. Hibiscus mint lemonade - 9/10

All in all this is a good joint to have in the crowded sukh sagar area. Love this Mexican joint.

This is 3rd time I have ordered from this vendor on swiggy and they pay zero attention to your selection. 3/3 mistakes. I selected Make your own and added to notes what all ingredients not to add. Still they add cheese, sour cream mayonnaise even though I explicitly mentioned not to add it in the notes. Will officially complain to Swiggy about this company s inefficiency

The Mexican bowl is not as good as expected. The sauces are not added properly, same with many ingredients. Nachos were great. Their guacamole tastes amazing, the salsa is not good. Would be good to try something other than the Mexican bowl.

Definitely nothing close to a burrito bowl available in the rest of the world. I ordered on swiggy, my bowl was full of thousand island, no sour cream, no avocado, could barely taste salsa. just beans rice and creamy sauce. Disappointed. would try once again by visiting, but strongly dont recommend ordering at home.

Awesome and heathy if you are hralth conscious just be there for dinner

Before lockdown I went to New York burrito at matunga. This was not the 1st time I was visiting. I called this as Mexican house..

As the cafe is small but the sitting area is comfertable.. There are pictures hanged on walls of the food menus which they provide.
Very clean & hygiene maintained

Food is always excellent, as this is my favorite place. Whenever I feels to eat some health I step out to New York burrito only..
They have limited food menus & only vegetarian food.
I even tired their dragon fruit juice, as it was totally fresh & Healthy.

Staff is very friendly & the service is very fast..they wil not keep you to wait for so long..

Tasty food..Went for Mexican bowl instead of burrito to enjoy all the yummy fillings without worrying about dropping them!! Large size is good for 3 people and 2 if they are really really hungry.. price is reasonable for the quantity.. pair it with a nice drink of hibiscus or dragon fruit.. they provided testers since both these drinks were so new.. no waiting time as they make the burrito/Mexican bowl right in front of you just like Subway... The place is walking distance from Marine drive, chaupati area..

The staff here is super friendly, a bit on the novice side of how to make a burrito but the amazing staff and service covers it, i ordered food and my card wasn't functioning the manager was so great he took my details made sure i was served my meal, asked me to pay it in a later date, luckily i had paytm so I could clear the bill there itself, but i really appreciated that i was treated so well kudos to the well trained staff and polite management

Great Mexican food. Not many options - Burrito, bowl, nachos, tacos and quesidilas. But food is really amazing. Lots of customisation options. Jain options available too.

Visited this place to eat the burrito bowl. They tried copying chipotle and they were somewhat good in doing that. Not the exact match but it tastes good.

Don't understand why so many negative reviews! Its a heavenly place for health freaks.. It has good white coloured interiors.. Amazing vibe of the place.. The burrito bowl tastes excellent!

Tasty mexican food, we enjoyed both the burritos and the nachos.

A wonderful place to eat. Awesome mexican cuisine. Very nice place. Taste wise awesome. Staff is very good and friendly. Quantity wise a little less. But must try if you want quality food.

Finally a Mexican Fast Food place in Mumbai. However, the only pure veg one currently.
They have decent Jain variants and since you choose what you want in your Burrito, you can not go wrong with the final outcome!
I have had their food delivered at home too and it tasted just like I wanted with all the instructions that I gave
The place has a decent sitting area but the line to order can get a little messy especially on the weekends when they also have delivery orders added to the list

Testy yummy mexican food. Most important it s pure veg. secondly you have lot of options for Jain items. A perfect place for mexican -vegetarian- jain food. Need to check if they also have vegn options.

Located right opposite to one of the most iconic beaches of the city the girgaum Chowpatty Beach is this food establishment. The restaurant offers a self service counter and a QSR set up for the patrons. Simplistic contemporary decor and music to make your feet tap surely makes the place lively.

The service staff is quick and are helpful when it comes to making your order. The orders work in a way of assembly line so that's a fascinating sight.

NYBC serves some of the crispiest nachos till date we have ever tried and the cheese sauce made with Monterey jack and cheddar is truly out if the world. One must also try their burritos and the Mexican bowls and yes every option has a jain variant of the same. On the beverage front a concoction made with dragonfruit and lemonade is a skeptical idea which is not really a miss but ain't a hit as well.

Authentic vegetarian & tasty Mexican food is what I'll definitely visit the place for. Regular tacos, yum nachos and Mexican pizza were supremely delicious. Definitely worth the money

Newyork Burrito Company is a Mexican cuisine outlet known for its Mexican food. It is located at Charni Road 15 mins away from the Station by walking. The ambience is casual and good and attractive too. The staff is good and service is good and fast too. The tables were clean and clear too. Tried with Mexican Pizza, Nachos and Burrito and loved it too. Want to try their drinks and cake too. Will visit again and try the rest. Must visit this place to try their Mexican food as I had a great Mexiperience you will too love their Nachos and Pizza and the Ambience for sure.

Actually food n ambience very good. But now service is not up to mark. They r interested only in swiggy customers. Walk in guests r ignored.
These customers have to wait for long for their food to be served. Even if the preparation is ready it is kept aside n forgotten.

Let's you build your own burrito with a wide variety of toppings that I found in the Chipotle and Qdoba franchises in the U.S, with additional choices like Paneer, Tofu and spiced potatoes. Would highly recommend trying it out.

Dropped in for a small meal after a movies--- had Nachos & Rice bowl, really loved it, staff is very warm & courteous, food is yummy, would surely visit again .

The place is good and food was amazing, went here during the girf dineout sale so it was worth it but otherwise the price is outrageous. 399 for a bowl and small lemonade. The grand nachos and burrito bowl were amazing. The creamy potatoes and tres leche were on the other hand horrible.

SUPER NACHOS {Rs.249/-}
Got the Nachos With six different types of dips of wich we had Guacamole, Sour cream, Salsa Fresca, Pica De Gallo, Salsa Verde and all of them tasted uniquely delicious which were healthy at the same time

TACOS {Rs.179/-}
Crispy and Flavored Tacos stuffed with all the same kind of those delicious healtites but you need to eat it in one go as the Smoky Salsa was leaking out of that

MEXICAN PIZZA {Rs.349/-}
Made on a thin Crispy base with whatever addonns you want and fully loaded with cheese which made it extremely droolable

DRAGON FRUIT LEMONADE {Rs.99/-}
Its like what a sweet dragon fruit would taste like with a mint of lemon in it

HIBISCUS MINT LEMONADE {Rs.99/-}
A bit sweet and a bit sour, combination of both with the mint of lemon made it quiet tasty

CHOCOLATE WALNUT BROWNIE {Rs.79/-}
This one the best Brownie i have ever tasted, so soft and perfectly chocolaty enough to make you want more and more

TRES LECHE CAKE {Rs.129/-}
A cake whos one half has soft vanilla kind white cream like a normal dessert but still delicious

About thi i won't be able to describe it much but it doesn't tastes like what you see or expect from the name of the dish

Unfortunately the member of staff who served us was unfriendly and unprofessional. She didn't assemble our bowls and wraps properly and put ingredients in which we didn't ask for. The food tasted ok but certainly wasn't worth the price - I wouldn't visit again.

Let s try some from the menu.
This menu is curated by including nachos, pizzas, bowls, taco, quesadillas.
It gives you good range of options to choose the sauces for all the meals you order.
Also the staff next to the counter is good enough to make customized as per your requirements.
My order looks like:-

Regular Nachos

Nutella Cheese Quesadillas
I must mention, this place is the visit for all those people who opt for having healthy diet which is based on veggies.
Because it is less on carb side and more on lighter and healthy diet side.
It has more of lettus, tomatos, avocado that type of handy meal which is good from oily and greecy food sometimes.
As it is specialized in burrito, my first order was peri peri potato burrito.
The filling is good enough for one and has all soft bites.
The outer bread is also cooked well and wrapped well.
You can ask the staff to put the sauce according to your taste.
Next one is Regular Nachos.
It s very simple and regular nachos which is served with 2 different dips.
This dish is enjoyed all time, anywhere, by everyone.
Next on my plate is Peri Peri Potatoes Bowl.
Now this has goodness of cheese on top,
Then downside a layer of lettuce, tomatos, avocado, potato coated in peri peri mix and some more ingredients with brown rice which completes this dish being healthy.
That s what the mains come to end and make me check the dessert list.
Here I liked to have something made up of my most favorite ingredients.
And that s what I spotted Nutella Cheese Quesadillas
Nothing very fancy but simple and sweet.
It s a bread which is toasted then placed banana slices and a lil spread of Nutella.
And it comes to an end of my experience from buritto company.

One must try out their refreshing drinks made of cucumber and dragon fruit, something different than the regular Mocktails.

Tasty and great ambience this 100% vegetarian restaurant serves Tex-Mex cuisine. Had a burrito bowls which are made to order like subway but the taste is to die for and it's very healthy.

New york burrito company is probably one of the finest places I have been to when it comes to mexican cuisine. They make the best burritos just give it a try . The ambience of this place is fantastic and the staff is super nice . They are really great at giving suggestions on what to choose. I tried the cheese burst burrito . This was hands down the best burrito I have ever had . The flavours blended in really well . It was really filling and wholesome. Next I tried the chilli cheese quesadilla. For those who don't know a quesadilla is a Mexican dish and type of taco consisting of a tortilla that is filled primarily with cheese. This quesadilla had two types of cheese and the combination was heavenly . The quesadilla combines with the salsa dips made a really good combo . The drinks that they are also quite nice . Their cucumber mint lemonade is really refreshing . Lastly I tried their chocolate walnut brownie , this was tasty the walnuts paired up quite well with the brownie . Do Visit this amazing place you won't be disappointed.

I ordered for a Mexican burrito at home but it was just so bad, no taste, the beans weren't well cooked , super dissapointed.

The place is located near the Girgaum Chowpatty.This is so awesome Burritos at great reasonable rates. Staff was really very polite and even the prices are very reasonable.
I have visited in the evening to have some kind a dinner at the New York burritos.
There is serve awesome pizzas and burgers as well.
There is a huge rush in the peak hours.
I really loved the ambiance and even the food.
