This is hard as we very much like their wines and knew the founder. They have just grown to be more of a large scale winery (now serving #356 style) and lost some of the charm we loved. Their severs are still good and do a solid job guiding yoiu through their wines, but with outside accommodation you feel like you are sitting in a open gravel field with no character. It's expensive and just not special as it used to be. Far Niente could be better.

I love the tour here. It is a great place to visit.

+ years. They have excellent wines. Fantastic customer service and great parties. Highly recommended.

The absolute most snobby and arrogant man that was to lead the tour treated us like cattle on our honeymoon with a curt and a condescending demeanor. This happened in October of 2016 and was really surprising after being a follower and fan of several of their vintages over the last few years. I will never pass a drop of their wine over my palate after this appalling experience for my bride and myself. I emailed them the same evening about our experience and of course was never responded to. The ungrateful middle-aged man with the desk at the front left of the establishment surely was the recipient of my email. No family or friend of mine will ever step foot on this property ever.

We ve experienced unbelievable good Cabernet Sauvignon which I ve never drunk!! We ll come again, absolutely!!

The terroir tasting (8 single vineyard Cabernets) was one of the best tasting experiences we've ever had. They have beautiful grounds and friendly staff.

One of the best wine in Napa. From beginning to end, Andrea Perkins was great! She took the time to tell us all the details of the property and the great stories behind the top rated wines. Great tour with top host!

we tried to visit the winery on a last minute notice and turned away even though our desire was to purchase wines from them and join their club. I can honestly say in the 20+ years in visiting Napa that I never have had this experience.

I love their wines but cannot stand the pretentious attitude. The fact they phone you must use just to get in says it all!

The only good part was this detoured us to Laurd which find their wines very good and I plan never to visit that snobberierium ever again!!!

Don t join!! Absolutely amazing wines when you get in but as a member it's impossible to find a time for them to host you and despite emailing 3 months before a sign up for events occurs you cannot get an invite to ANY of the members events. They are just very dishonest with the wine events and have poor service that resulted in missed Christmas gifts. The tasting, however, is great and they do have fine wines. Just don't join the wine club as the benefits won't materialize and getting access for even two tastings a year will become almost impossible. Also expect them to email you with your spending habits after 12 weeks and tell you that $600 can be better. I spend a lot on wines and $600 became zero because of their snooty attitude. If you are born blue blooded this place is perfect but if you come from humble beginnings Katherine Hall next door at Hall wines will share your approach. GI Partners is all about juicing their private equity returns and no longer about Gil s customer focused approach. Times change and so do my favorite wineries.

Went to Futures tasting. Really good. 12 different wines, right out of the barrel. Great food, sliders, lamb chops, cheese, fun.And free Belgian waffles and coffee before going home. Octavio was very knowledgeable.

Visited and went through an 8 glass Terroir Tasting as part of a bit of self-education on Napa reds. Our host Dandy walked us on a short tour and was an interesting person to talk with over the entire experience. Wine was universally excellent and purchased a bottle before leaving. You need a reservation for anything here and you can't even get in the gate without it. Used an app to reserve this well in advance of our trip.

Delicious stop. An impressive number of Cabs. Alyse was a great host!

We made a reservation for Thursday afternoon for a terroir tasting which includes eight cabernets and some tasty bites. If you like cabs and you want to try several to be able to understand all the differences in dirt/sand around the valley, do this tasting! Our tour guide was Alyse and she was fantastic. We were able to get a quick tour of the property (not apart of the tasting usually) then she walked us through the whole region one glass at a time. Highly recommend!!!

I'm a club member and a big fan of their wines. Only complaint is they don't accept walk ins and its very difficult to get a reservation on short notice, even within 2-3 weeks.

The whole ambiance was exceptional from the host to the grounds to the tasting!! Thank you!

This is a great wine producer... typically selling young vintages so that you can lay them down for a while and have something to look forward to! The nickel family has made quite an impact on the Napa Valley and both wineries show their passion for what they do!

Long time wine club member! Love the wines here and always a great time wine tasting on the property! Lovely and attentive staff. The outdoor tasting is well spaced out and they are taking great measures to make sure everyone is safe. Must wear masks when not seated.

Great winery. Kenji was extremely informative and gave a great tour as well as a great tasting. He did a great job knowing the history of Nickel and Nickel as well as being able to describe each wine. It is truly a must visit winery, just make sure you have a reservation.

By far my wife and my favorite wine tasting experience in Napa. Their wines are now an absolute favorite and top recommendation.

Love all the wines. Great winery for single vineyard, single varietal. Property is beautiful and the landscaping is always amazing. If you are a Cab lover, you will love this winery. And tbe Chardonnays are amazing also. A must visit when in Napa. And tour guide Walt is the best.

Appointment only. Have to get buzzed in. That is cool. Great guide to show us around the property. The cave was the coolest part for me. The tasteing room was a small older room in the house from the early 1900's was ok. The wine was amazing. I dont give out a lot of 5 star ratings, but thier is a few here!

Outstanding experience. Wine was phenomenal. We had Walt as our host. Talk about knowledge and passion! As human beings we connect with each other with stories. His knowledge of the region, the weather, the art and science of wine making made for a captivating tour and tasting of this fine wine maker. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Make sure you ask for Walt.

We had the sweetest guide. She was just lovely. Probably the most informative of the tours and the tasting included a cheese plate. She also indulged us with a Dolce tasting. Will be on our list for a return.

If you're into seriously good wine, this is the place for you. Contrary to all those acid red wines Napa is filled with, these ones are comparable to great French and Argentinean ones. Kaleigh was also super helpful and friendly.
