Modern take on comfort food. Very good portions, you won't leave hungry. Ask for the garlic bread that they'll bring to your table before your meal - it's excellent. For dessert try the butter cake if you have a sweet tooth. I've never had something here I didn't like.

Today's soup, I dont't know real name was like korean food. Anyway it was great. Short rib was so tender, I didn't need a knife. Mashed potato, vegetables, and so on everything was good. Draft IPA was fantastic. Very kind and active but not noisy. I'll definitely came back.

Great location and very popular! Eat in style and still enjoy a casual setting. The restaurant patio faces the Metlox courtyard. You can enjoy your dining and satisfy your interest in people watching as tourists and locals pass the enclosed but open patio...

We had the tuna tartar, the braised short rib and the fried chicken. They were all excellent. The service was extremely attentive, more so than some fancier places. We sat near the bar and there was a good vibe of people just grabbing drinks. Plenty of people brought their kids in too.

I currently live out of state and had two family members celebrating their birthdays at Nick s. I wanted to surprise them with some appetizers to greet them when they sat down. I called in explained my situation with Mike and he was able to accommodate the request in the most professional way and was very polite too. I wanted to thank Mike for his exceptional customer service and look forward to going to Nick s when I visit back in town. Thank you so much!

I've been to Nick's on 4 occasions & each visit has been a superb experience. The ambience is very nice and modernistic with great music mostly smooth , latin Jazz, pretty awesome, as my father is a Musician and if he likes the music so much that hes Shazzaming all the tracks id say its good music lol. The portions served at Nick's are the biggest ive seen compared to most restaurants and eateries in the Manhattan beach pier area, I tried the thai salad which is the best thai sald ive had its very well served, the noodles are delicious as well as the level of spiciness. My brother had the shrimp taquitos which was super bomb, the fried chicken was excellent, it was 2 huge bonless pieces the gravy and mash was super good, as well as thier fried chicken sandwich. The kale chicken salad was so huge we had to share it, but everything was excellent with zero complaints. The waiter offered me a special house tequila specifically for Nick's which i declined but he was very happy to let me know they offered Casamigos anejo for my skinny margarita. Let me say they have great wine selection as well. The margarita was very well done with a fresh agave house mix. Me and my family will be returning! :)

Had the blackened fish sandwich. Toasted brioche bun, slaw, tomatoes, and arugula (I had them leave off the onions) with tartar sauce on the side. Didn't need the tartar sauce because there was plenty going on already with the sandwich. Nice mix of flavors and the fries on the side were fresh and crispy. I would definitely visit Nick's when I'm in town again.

First time eating here and this place is a jewel. The inside is smaller but upscale and everyone is cheerful and very accommodating. Crumpet absolutely loved her artichoke appetizer with some sort of homemade lemon dressing. Sarava and I had the baby back ribs with fries. You know how many restaurants say their ribs are "fall off the bone" soft and then you're fighting with the meat, LOL! Well this place is the real deal as the meat was very tender and the sauce wasn't overwhelming either. The fries were perfectly soft with scrumptious seasoning. Crumpet had a kale salad with some jumbo shrimp at $4 a piece but she liked it. She loved her lemon drop martini by the way. We finished up with an out of this world soft butter cake with vanilla ice cream, it was solo good! We'll be back...

I am not a breakfast person, but this was really good food, and it was inexpensive, especially for being happily located in Manhattan Beach. Also, the coffee was great. For some reason, my dad likes to eat breakfast on weekend days, and I look forward to taking him here again the next time I'm in LA, which I will be... this time next week. Yeah man!

Wonderful classy place. Went for lunch directly from LAX airport. Easy parking as there is a 3 hr parking garage right next to this place. Ordered the fried chicken as I was starving. OMG, what a great choice. Everything just melts in ur mouth. Chicken is so soft and wonderful. Biscuit has a lovely cake like texture. Corn on cob has an amazing swedish sauce..just an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Watermelon margarita was very well done, just what I needed on a hot day to refresh myself.

I like Nick's MB very much, more space than Nick's on 2nd St.!! Patio seating... great for people watching and mimosas!.The food is good but we wish brunch was not over at 12:00! It would be nice not to have to arrive so early on a Sunday and even nicer to be able to enjoy leisurely brunch fare even if it's 1pm!!! However, overall Nick's has friendly, accommodating staff, offer's a clean environment, there is parking in a covered lot very near and is a good choice for a meal in the area.

The food is amazing here. My favorite thing is the roast beef dip. Uh-may-zing! The horseradish that comes with it adds just the right touch of heat. The staff is also great. Be ready to drop some $$$ though because it ain't cheap!

Delicious place to go for brunch. There's some soothing electronic music and nice lighting inside which give it a classy vibe. I got the short rib Benedict which was tender and savory. They also substituted the English muffins for corn tortillas (because I'm Gluten Free). Highly recommend this place.

Nick's, no matter which area, is outstanding. Fresh ingredients and fantastic cocktails. I believe that they have the best burger ever! I've been to lunch in Manhattan Beach and dinner in San Clemente and I have found both to be outstanding.

Excellent food! My good friend took me here for my birthday and boy, I'm grateful that he did. We ordered Filet Mignon, it comes with bistro salad and chicken tortilla soup. The steak is melt in your mouth scrumptious, the soup was good but the bistro salad was mouth-watering delicious. I can have just the salad alone and I'll be more than satisfied. We had butter cake with crystalized sugar that made it kind of crunchy. I have had many butter cake but this one takes the cake! No pun intended. I'll come back to this place over and over again and will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Nice date night ! Although the restaurant was busy and we didn't have reservations last Saturday eve, my husband and I were well greeted and able to be seated right away. Our table service was spot on by Kaitlyn -thank you, as well as by other staff. So appreciate that. Our dinner-scottish salmon & sea bass plates were amazing! All this wonderfulness reminded us of our fave 5 cruise. We want more of that! so we'll be back .

Food is excellent, service is good, the wait to be seated is reasonable. The fertilizer smell from the planters in the outdoor seating area can be a bit off-putting. The faucets in the men's restroom are not connected properly: one has only scalding hot water, the other only ice cold.
