Nicks is my favo place to escape! (And drink) and the bartenders are my favo people in town!

Seafood Enchiladas and shrimp taquitos were delicious.

I have been in Nick's Pasadena, and decided to try out their Manhattan location. To begin with their service is outstanding, reflecting the upscale location and the old-fashioned traditions. My ciopino was great overall, but wish they would add more seafood (clams, mussels, lobster?) and less fish. We were seated outside, and it was a little bit chilly, but as I said I loved the place in general!

Let me start by saying, the food was delicious! If my opinion of the place was solely based on food it would be higher. However, when I am paying $15+ for breakfast food, my experience is just as important. Unfortunately my experience here was very poor due to bad a server with a terrible attitude. According to our receipt her name was Ash G. She was incredibly rude to our group. I don't want to assume race had anytning to do with the matter, but I did notice other tables of less diverse crowds were being treated very well by Ash. She acted annoyed and even rolled her eyes at us on several occasions, not even attempting to hide the bad attitude. I understand people have bad days, but don't take that to work, and don't take it out on paying customers. We were any easy bunch, all placed our order in a timely manner and didn't complain about anything. She asked to take plates from us before we were finished eating and acted like it was the most annoying thing she's ever dealt with to split out check. Ash G needs a major attitude adjustment working in the service industry.

I really enjoy this place. I go for lunch usually I always get great service, drinks are refilled quickly. The food is always on point. Presentation is good. Just good quality food.

A great Californian restaurant serving excellent steak, seafood and Mexican dishes. Their asparagus fries and baby back ribs are to die for. Very convivial setting and very popular.

Love it there! Bartenders are excellent and the salads are outstanding especially kale and quinoa! BUT you gotta bring back the deviled eggs!!!!

We sat at a 2 person booth in the bar area, and the whole experience was kind of like an upscale sports bar. I thought the tuna tartare appetizer was very good, but the fried chicken was unimpressive and not very flavorful. My companion thought her salad was pretty run of the miss. I have not been to many places in Manhattan Beach, but Manhattan Beach Post is miles ahead of this place for fairly equivalent prices.

Classy atmosphere and quiet; great for business lunches but also good for families and couples too. I enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.

Lunch was terrific. We started with the French Fried Asparagus then the San Francisco Cioppino. There's enough seafood in it for a delicious surprise in every spoonful. I love dipping pieces of the individual-sized sourdough loaf (with butter and herbs) to soak up some of the full-flavored broth. I lusted after the Warm Butter Cake for dessert but settled for a Double Espresso (it was double good: coincidence?).

I'll be back there again very soon.

Blackened fish sandwich is a solid choice. Don't be afraid to be open to their suggestions. Everyone seemed to like their choices.

Yesterday was our first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the generous service, with the superb food and fine drinks and with the friendly pay. We will surely visit there in a short time.

Went to Nicks for dinner, food was OK, had Salmon, wich it was a little overcooked (dry), but my BF got the Cioppino and it was good. Giving 3 stars because of the slow service...

Yummy Sunday brunch, make reservations well in advance for Sunday! Its wildly popular and jam packed. If you don't like a loud restaurant on weekends, this probably isn't for you.

Service was overall really great! Staff was kind and responsive to requests. Did I mention the great atmosphere? Overall, this place is well worth the visit with family, friends, dates, etc.

Perfect downtown Manhattan Beach location. Great for kids.

Delicious prime rib. Nederland steak also very good. Cooked exactly to request. Too full for desert but the bread pudding looked delicious

Modern food with classic style of service and quality. A patio looks out onto the Metlox courtyard. The interior dining area is modern and sleek but not in an industrial way. Seating is comfy which makes a big difference when you want to enjoy a bottle of wine, a nice meal, and good company.

Had a great experience here. The server had a good sense of humor with how fast the dessert went.. they were definitely very organized and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The Tri tip sandwich was great and the butter cake is a must-try.

Staff is superior and so is the short rib!!! First time eating there, hopefully the short rib special will be back! Love it!!!!!

I love Nicks! We had the seafood enchiladas and they were amazing. I have been craving them ever since. We also had the butter cake and as a chocolate lover I was impressed! We enjoyed the outdoor seating and a friendly waitress. highly recommend

I returned to Manhattan Beach in October.2019 because in 2016 and 2017 I visited for the first time but only saw the ocean from a distance. This time I traveled solo and took my time, enjoyed local fresh sea food, met new people and lingered at sunset basking in the golden glow of the setting sun. LOVED every minute!

Went here for a business lunch and had an amazing time. The service and food were both fantastic. One of the individuals in our party had a food allergy and our server went out of his way to ensure that there were no allergens in the items we ordered. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

What a great place to eat. We always sit on the patio which is heated during cold times. Great atmosphere and great people working there. Menu is a bit smaller which I prefer, you know they are good at making what is on the menu! I have tried a few items here and all have been great. The steak and Cioppino are my favorite!

I've been to Nick's on 2nd in Belmont a dozen times, food and service has always been awesome. Met with friends at Nick's in Manhattan and was not disappointed. Service and food are stellar. I had the Cioppino, one of my favs. Lots of seafood, to include large shrimp, salmon, clams, mussels and sea bass in a flavorful tomato broth along with a generous olive sourdough loaf to soak up the broth with. You cant leave without having their addictive Buttercake. I'm stuffed. Service and food in Manhattan Beach were on par and Nick's remains one of my favorite restaurants. Great food, great service.

Love breakfast here!! Dinner is 4 stars. Brunch is 5 stars.
