We have our loved in an Nhc facility in St peters. We continue to find care concerns that dont get addressed . In fact they are met with things from management like we need to consider a place our mom pays over 5 grand to live in to see it as doctor office with homey feel per director memo. Then met with family cant take pictures with their own loved one. Sent concerns over 4 times
es and never addressed. Very concerning place this has turned out to be. Food is good but often not staffed a andmanagement is poor. Found our loved one on the floor. Then a week later another resident. Very concerning. They say they want to resolve issues but have yet to see or feel that happen. Update as our loved one fell in this facility, found by family not staff. Dept of health found facility was deficient in their handling which will be posted on cms site. Be vigilient if placing in a nhc facility. Update...thanks be to god our loved one is out of NHC hands. During times of covid, management was not good, staying connected to our loved one was a stretch, she is now in a different facility where we are finding management puts families first and connections during this pandemic. Please research nursing home compare on Cms site beforE choosing care for your loved one.

I gave one star for NHC, but to be fair to NHC the entire industry is God Awful. Honestly, since the pandemic who wants to work in elder or rehab hospitals. I m a current Patient at NHC, and their are not enough staff to take care of the patients. I would hate to be in NHC s CEO Steve Flatt s shoes. Now add our Presidents policies it s near impossible to find good help, ANY HELP! I don t blame him that they are hiring back the people they terminated. Don t get me wrong their are some real all-stars here from the Chief Administrator on down, just not enough of them. I m leaving 8 days early than I should. I will do Home Care Services, and it will be much better. Steve Flatt, his board and his CFO, should not be filling beds with a staff under in my guess of 40% short, its putting staff and patients at risk. Again thanks to the Pandemic and our President, the entire healthcare industry is under water. Steve I have an idea to bring more staff, good staff to NHC, call me. I want to help you not bash you.
I worked at NHC had a few problems with the staff scheduler for one showing favoritism I would ve like every weekend off versus the rehires after being fired rehired fired...CNA working on same hall with her Mother against NHC policy but it happens on a daily basis...New CNAs and rehires after being fired or quit saying where they will and won t work so it the older CNAs get taken off their assigned groups I remember the 1st two years I was there I floated and DID NOT demand where I would or would not work...so I walked out one day and of course I lost my 8 vacation days never have I ever had a facility keep my vacation days because I quit on the spot I earned those by working hard and they don t pay you holiday pay unless you use a vacation day to earn double time so unfair the DON office people administrator or corporate doesn t have to work holidays so why not pay your employees holiday pay like other places do? But over all I enjoyed working there and treated my patients like I would my own family... hopefully the new administrator will straighten it up and pay attention because I don t think they told the old one half of what was going on...it s a shame they lost a CNA who worked there for 20yrs and myself because they don t listen to us and cater to their favorites
