I worked at NHC had a few problems with the staff scheduler for one showing favoritism I would ve like every weekend off versus the rehires after being fired rehired fired...CNA working on same hall with her Mother against NHC policy but it happens on a daily basis...New CNAs and rehires after being fired or quit saying where they will and won t work so it the older CNAs get taken off their assigned groups I remember the 1st two years I was there I floated and DID NOT demand where I would or would not work...so I walked out one day and of course I lost my 8 vacation days never have I ever had a facility keep my vacation days because I quit on the spot I earned those by working hard and they don t pay you holiday pay unless you use a vacation day to earn double time so unfair the DON office people administrator or corporate doesn t have to work holidays so why not pay your employees holiday pay like other places do? But over all I enjoyed working there and treated my patients like I would my own family... hopefully the new administrator will straighten it up and pay attention because I don t think they told the old one half of what was going on...it s a shame they lost a CNA who worked there for 20yrs and myself because they don t listen to us and cater to their favorites
