I have used NewTek and SmarterMail for over 10 years - excellent organization with a tech support line that is the best in the industry. Clint helped me resolve an issue with my SmarterMail account that needed some research and serious expertise - Newtek give that man a raise and a promotion!

I have been associated with this company since its beginnings. Over 15 years of having them host my clients websites. I work with hosting companies all over the world and for me, NewTek the most consistent in fantastic support and pricing. I love Newtek and the tech staff, they are awesome.

Have used this provider for more than 8 different sites as both a business and personal web publisher. I have used various html generation applications and gave actually tried a few different publishing companies through the last approximately 20 years.

I have worked in healthcare IT for a majority of my 45 years in technology and customer service and product support. My last professional position was as a Product Manager for medical imaging and reporting product lines.

I can honestly say that Newtek is at the top two in my list of technology companies I have used in either a professional or personal requirement over the last 20 years.

The products they have available, the ease of implementation for their products, and most importantly, the support that this organization provides to their clients is truly at the top of an ever changing technical environment.

Extremely poor customer support. We ve been with what is now called Newtek for around 15 years I believe (far longer than I ve been at the company). We have always had more then the standard downtime but not unreasonably bad for a service-based company like ours.
We recently paid to have our email servers moved over to a VPS setup. We paid a fee to have the transition taken care of by NewTek, supposedly to be seamless. Over a week of emails and calendar appointments were deleted, had multiple days with the email server down, and have had crazy spam and outgoing mail rejection problems.
Craziest part, we have had the last ticket open for almost a month and have only gotten responses apologizing for their busyness and saying they will get to it soon.
I emailed them about two weeks ago asking questions from the technical support as well as the sales rep who made us the broken promises, still no definite answer. After over a decade of working together, we are moving our email and web hosting elsewhere.

I would literally gave them 0 rating for miserably failing to approve my loan request even though I'm more than qualified for a ppp loan this guy named Patrick literally have turn my life upside down the rabbit hole gave this guy all the docs to prove that im also a sole proprietor he still end refusing and rejected my application I'll definitely sue him and his boss for economic discrimination

Loved working with Clint S. My work email stopped working on my phone and MacBook and I tried several times to fix it on my own (probably making the problem worse). Clint was very patient and helpful. Walked me through all of the steps to reset both emails and teach me how to manage my account through smarter mail. Clint was very helpful and super nice. 20 year customer with nearly nothing bad to say about this hosting company. Awesome customer service, quick responsive and helpful. Sales and Billing have always been on the mark when I have needed them, and the range of products offered makes it sure they have anything I need before I know I need it. Great experience.

Terrible service: long delays on email processing, slow and glitchy servers, incompetent technical staff. They were a good hosting company when it was Crystaltech but have really gone downhill since Newtek took them over.

I would avoid this payroll company. We used them to pay our Nanny and this company submitted all our IRS payments as a 941 employee instead of a household employee, this prevents us from being able to deduct our estimated tax payments, and now we owe the IRS almost $4,000. Newtek said they would submit the proper forms to reverse the 941 classification, but they never did and now they just ignore us. So I have to continue making penalty, interest and unwarranted payments to the IRS because of Newtek s incompetence.

Their business model also provides for a complete package for a small to medium business whether they are a traditional brick & mortar location or a true web only presence. Newtek hosted out website for many years with no real issues until about a year ago. Our website started being down fairly often and sometimes for a whole day. As a business that is difficult and frustrating. We decided to switch to a different hosting company. I had been paying yearly for the services but was told that I could get a prorated refund if I did cancel. They hit my credit card with the yearly charge the day I canceled. I called immediately and requested a refund. They said they could only refund me 11 months now. I have waited 3 months and still no refund at all. I call almost every week about this. Now they are telling me they just changed their policy and won't be giving refunds of prorated amounts. This is bad business and bad customer service. The bookkeeper keeps telling me it is wrong that they are doing this but it is out of her hands. What a rip off.

I would like to recognize the excellent support I received just now from Nick in tech support. I was having a bit of trouble registering a new domain and he patiently and professionally walked me through the sticking points to a successful conclusion. I have been a customer of Newtek since it was Crystal Tech many years ago. The level of customer support and service has always been five stars 24/7 and Nick is carrying on that tradition. I've used Newtek for my business web hosting since 2011. They are a solid hosting provider that is available when I need to contact them. I have had very few issues or site down time. When performing major hosting or website updates they are able to do them in the middle of the night so that I don't lose business by having site down time.

As sites age, I am moving my sites to different hosts. I'm sad as this used to be the best company. Excellent customer service! I needed a lot: migrate my website to another server, reconfigure DNS, and purchase and install a security certificate. There were many emails and a few phone calls involved, but the team at Newtek was patient and friendly throughout the process and made me feel like I was their top priority. Mike, Michael, Joey, Nick, and Shaun are absolutely outstanding!

Avoid Newtek was Crystaltek terrible customer service. Site is down often and the email system is a nightmare. I switched to gmail because the email system. I never write bad reviews but after dasking to speak to a manager as I had been a client for over a decade and didn t want to switch I waited 4 hours with no response. Pathetic check out siteground if you have a Wordpress sure. There Amazing and these fools just don t care !!!! Ask them their downtime and why their email winds up in everyone s spam filter if it ever get there. Avoid at all cost.

I've been with Newtek for over 20 years, and this week's experience is yet another reason why. I had concerns about a phishing email yesterday and Joey got me straightened out with clear explanations and a good suggestion to change my password. So I did and then my mobile devices wouldn't send email,s although they would receive them. So I called again today and Clint was equally awesome - he showed me how to do the settings correctly (my bad) and got me all squared away. It is wonderful to be able to have such confidence for so long with this company.

I have used Newtek/Crystaltek for years. Note that I am using 2004 Dreamweaver software and some now their servers keep accommodating my long technical reports to Congress and AZ Legislature. Their technical service is great--I think I've eve called them at midnight!! Their billing customer service is always right on top of things when I've had a few questions. Highly recommend these great people!!

I've been a customer of Newtek since 1995. They host my domain name and provide my email server. Without exception, every time I've contacted their customer service, their representative has been friendly , knowledgeable, helpful - and patient. I've never had an issue that was not resolved on the spot. Today I spoke with Joey who took me through all the steps I needed to take to resolve my current issue - which was a result of an action taken by Apple.

My company, Expertise Inc, has been a customer of NewTek since 2001. I've trusted them with hundreds of hosting accounts, shared and dedicated.

In that time numerous things have gone wrong. **Every time** Newtek has been there to dig me out of my mess. The few times the error was on their side they took pains to correct the issue and keep everyone informed.

I'm familiar with many of their customer service reps. To a person, they are intelligent and effective.

Newtek had a big issue, but hey, stuff happens. However what separates a good company from great company is great support. Shawn Harvill is in tech support Mike Terrance is a "salesman" Ben Hill is in tech support as well if you don't believe me just call the number they provide and ask for them, then ask them why they gave the misleading reviews.

Anyone who has ever been there with any type of technical competence or talent has been allowed to walk away and then been replaced with a body at what can be considered an affordable rate.

Our support staff said they've been trying to reach support at Newtek and have been told "there's a problem". We could have told you that!. Looks like someone is going out of business.
