This is an amazing aquarium. I loved all the water tunnel walk throughs. There was so many sea creatures to look at! We went in the end of April 2021 and the shark touching pool, and sting ray pools were open and free. The starfish touch pools were still covid closed.
We went at about 11 on a Saturday. I would not do this again. It was quite crowded. Try to schedule a for a different day or time if possible.
My favorite part was touching the sting rays, my husband's favorite part was the ropes course Bridge that is over the shark tank. We had a great time.
One of the best aquariums I've ever been to.

Note: All aquatic pictures had to be edited for visibility. The non aquatic animals are highly visible and maintained beautifully, with good varieties/information. The aquatic animals are visible but some of the tanks are cloudy with the tank walls having a lot of scratches, so only fair visibility.

This place was awesome. I've never been to an aquarium with underwater tunnels and such. My family and I had a great time. There's tons of food places and shops outside the aquarium that you can go to wait if you needed to.

All the kids there seemed to be learning very quickly about marine life, and about our responsibility regarding understanding and caring for it, and all of this while having lots of fun!

Animals looked healthy and well kept. Tanks were well thought off and creative give visitors a more immersive feel. Some areas had certain themes like pirate shipwreck scenes, etc.

Very cool place! Wondered if they might have other types of tours or programs for SCUBA diving enthusiasts that would allow them to dive in with their sharks and marine life.

One of the most amazing aquariums there is. The water of all the animals was super clean it seems like they really care for them. Everything is so well organized i recommended if you have little ones and for big ones too.

This is quiet possibly the best way to run an aquarium. Its well designed and organized, the staff super friendly. Everything clean and of course the exhibits were amazing. I've never been this close to sea animals before from an aquarium. Miami aquarium can't top this! This is a very kid friendly place that requires minimal "entertaining", the kiddos all seemed very engaged with the exhibits. Bottom line, this aquarium is the best in the biz. And I especially love that there weren't any lonely killer whales in small enclosures. Those are better left out in the wild anyways. Great work Newport!

Clean. Displays are in bite size, manageable pieces with a few hands on activities. Displays are 360* in some areas. Cafe mozzarella sticks were worth it. Pretzel was a great size with a soft center, a little tough on the outer ring. Staff quickly assisted for minor medical issue.
I would go again. But without very small children so I could read it all.

Great aquarium experience. Lots of aquatic wildlife to examine and take in. There are even a handful of touch stations where you can reach in and touch sea anemone, starfish, stingrays, and sharks.

A light or casual observer could probably skim each exhibit briefly and be in and out in under an hour if you wanted to, but there is more than enough to take in and take your time with, which means you could easily spend upwards of two hours if you tried to get a good look at everything.

The Newport Aquarium is not to quite the same scale as the Vancouver, B.C. aquarium, for example, but I dare say it is of the same caliber and quality of care and exhibition.

Highly recommended.

Fun aquarium with some absolutely unique and amazing displays! The shark rays are so cool and one of my favorite sea creatures! Petting a stingray is always a joy! They were super accommodating when we had to reschedule due to a medical emergency and were so incredibly helpful with everything! Staff is wonderful and the entire area around the aquarium is a joy.

Had a blast! Took my wife and 2 year old for the first time and it was great watching him run from tank to tank. I thought there would be a little more in the businesses around but some were closed mid day on a week day and some were having construction.
