A small and compact airport. On arrival the baggage claim is small. On the way there is a bit of confusion in check in counters, you can usually save time by using automatic kiosks. Security control is tight, they even take off shoes. There aren't many gates, so you get to Gate right away. There are eating and drinking places and a few shops inside.

It's huge. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because no matter what you do here, it's bound to involve a mile or more of walking. The facility is pretty clean. The food is absolutely horrible though, so make sure to plan a bite at a nearby spot outside. Some of the meeting rooms are located directly underneath the Mississippi River Bridge, so don't be surprised to hear a honk or two and some serious rumbling during your meeting.

The events are nice here, but the staff is rude, especially the security staff. They act like it's an inconvenience to answer a question and talk down to you with the answer to your question. This happened to me twice and others from the company I work for. I also observed someone get treated poorly by security for having their child with them. The security guard told them they were an unfit parent for having their child and they we're endangering their welfare for bringing them to a comic convention........ It was extremely rude and uncalled for. I told the guard they were out of line and needed to back off from the people and asked for a supervisor. One never came, but that guard sure walked away in a hurry when someone stopped him from bullying a mother and her kid. Best part is, they weren't even doing anything, just walking down the main corridor and the kid slipped on some spilled liquid.

Very large convention center. Lots of food choices, including a Starbucks. But you can not use your Starbucks card at this location. Staff are overall friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were relatively clean for such a large facility.

That place is massive...I walked 8 miles inside the facility on an average for 4 days...was there for a conference...has a mall right beside it...a river behind..great...that Starbucks is just way too insufficient for a place this big.. sitting arrangements could be better...I hope they have a easy access wifi by now..and it's new Orleans..so indulge in ...

They're trying to be accessible. They're large enough to host conferences with around 50,000 attendees at the same time. The space is flexible for different needs; the tech assistance is top notch.

Main drawback...it's huge and difficult to navigate. They make scooters available, and they're good scooters. However, the elevators are undersized and difficult for even staff to get the scooters in and out of.

Final note: There are no grassy areas near to the conference for service animals to use...you will have to cross to a median/neutral ground of a nearby street.

I was there to attend a 5 day conference. Great venue but it was always freezing inside the building. So cold that the glass windows were always wet and dripping - not comfortable to get work done, unless one wears several layers of sweaters.

This building is enormous and has no moving sidewalks or anything to expedite travel for the regular folks (i.e. not convention center staff or police) from one end of the mile long building to the other. This makes it very difficult if you're mobility impaired at all. The bathrooms, while they're clean, are very far apart. It's just a gigantic building.

This convention center is massive! Surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and historical buildings and tours. The riverfront shopping and outlet stores are next door. Parking is offered all around and lots are available as well.

This is one of the most efficient convention centers that I have ever visited. They have easy access, good location near many tourist attractions, and they have a mall next to it with plenty selection of stuff that you may need last minute! That's is a huge plus, but also they have a food court the convention center with a decent variety of food stands, Nevertheless, there is a lot more variety of food stands at the mall too. One of my problems during conventions is finding place to lunch, since many conversations centers just a have a couple of cafeterias with very bland food, this is not the case here.

Be prepared to walk a long, long walk through the building. Plenty of hotels close. Parking isn't the greatest, not that i would expect better in the middle of a city. Bring your walking shoes
