It's a big convention center. It's a two stories building. Well organized and easy to understand its distribution. I had the opportunity to use it for the AAO 2017 and the only sad part is that it doesn't have a free parking. Free wifi available during the meeting. The outside was already decorated for christmas and it was lovely.

Certainly a large scale convention centre capable of cater to any event large or small. Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, there is access to plenty of restaurants and side venues for after parties etc... I am skeptical about the under construction sidewalk and what impact that will have upon traffic both now and in the future.
I was here for a conference that used a large area of the center, with exhibits and workshops spanning across all the halls and across all floors. The center is vast but the halls and rooms are well laid out with sufficient signage. The staff were also very friendly and willing to help. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the center, and also racked up my step count!
It's a large convention center. Parking out front. Wear comfortable shoes because you may be doing a lot of walking to get to where your going. Drink machines aren't cheap.
Parking lot machines needs to be replaced don't understand why the ticket and received two days straight both did not have arrival/ departure time on them this action caused me not to be able to get reinbursted by job agencies. ..was given a print out still didn't help ....someone cheating system I do believe
the location of the venue is fantastically convenient to downtown hotels. The only challenge right now is the straits have been torn up for over a year making large events challenging to get vehicles to.
Our Convention Center is the 5th largest center in tye United States. We house all different types of events throughout the year. One of the best and my most favorite event that's housed in there is Zulu Ball on a Friday, Endymion Ball on a Saturday & Bacchus Ball on a Sunday! If YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE BEST FUN NEW ORLEANS HAVE TO OFFER THEN ONE OF THESE BIG BALLS WILL DO IT FOR YOU
I went to Collision Conference this year for the second time in a row. It's where tech companies, startups, and investors collide. This year, as well as last, the conference of 20,000+ people was held at Convention Center in New Orleans. I am from New Orleans and it is an embarrassment that the bathrooms were out of soap, paper towels, toilet paper....all essential for public health! After 3 days there was a shortage of plates, forks, and napkins. This is not an anomaly, New Orleans' businesses, bars, and restaurants are typically short on at least one of the following each time I go: ice, cups, napkins, spoons, forks, knives, soap and bathroom toiletries. The Convention Center, like all of New Orleans, puts on an amazing show/display, but lacks basic hygiene and essentials for life.
The convention center is in an excellent location and is close enough to the tourist areas to walk. The exhibit halls are large enough for major events, but the relatively narrow width makes it a long journey from end to end. Food is overpriced and a poor representative of New Orleans cuisine.
The art, the culture, the beauty,....its always transformed during Essence Fest. I wish the parking options were better in the area (or city in general)and that bathrooms had more stalls updated
The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will never be the same after the devastating Divas of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. leave their mark during our 54th National Convention! #OhToBeADeltaGirl
Wow, talk about a giant convention center! The whole time I was there I just kept thinking, "Why isn't Comic-Con being held here?" I mean, I know San Diego is nice but boy what a con you could throw at this convention!!
And, since the convention center is so gigantic be sure to bring some comfy walking shoes. The center was kept clean and could easily hold the two conventions it was running while I was there.
DO NOT: Absolutely do NOT buy coffee at a vendor there. I got a mocha and it was so horribly made I took one sip and had to toss it. Do not expect to get coffee at Starbucks here unless you want to spend your whole morning in line.
DO: Absolutely DO buy you coffee on the way as there is only 1 Starbucks in the whole convention center and you'll be standing in line for at least 20 minutes. Absolutely DO take advantage of their furniture outside of convention halls to take a load off. Absolutely DO take the time to walk out of the convention center to go have lunch at one of the closer restaurants.
Nice amenities, loved the environmental options for trash, recycle, etc... clean restrooms, nice outdoor marquee with current events inside, all within walking distance to good food, boardwalk, and some shopping!
