I went to Collision Conference this year for the second time in a row. It's where tech companies, startups, and investors collide. This year, as well as last, the conference of 20,000+ people was held at Convention Center in New Orleans. I am from New Orleans and it is an embarrassment that the bathrooms were out of soap, paper towels, toilet paper....all essential for public health! After 3 days there was a shortage of plates, forks, and napkins. This is not an anomaly, New Orleans' businesses, bars, and restaurants are typically short on at least one of the following each time I go: ice, cups, napkins, spoons, forks, knives, soap and bathroom toiletries. The Convention Center, like all of New Orleans, puts on an amazing show/display, but lacks basic hygiene and essentials for life.
