They did a great job when I was there and I am thankful. But now I see they are getting involved in politics and am not sure I can refer them anymore. If a particular doctor wants to support a political candidate that is fine but when they are dressed and advertising the center I have to disagree.

Follow up to reply since I can t seem to find reply to that option. Since I was a former patient I knew exactly where she worked, I understand she says she is a physician but the uniform she wears represents her place of work, maybe she should have done this in plain clothes or non logo uniform?

I have received care from Dr. James Blair Steier for almost 20 years. He is one of the best Rheumtologist that I have seen in last 30 years. He is very knowledgeable, caring, competent, kind and always spends the time needed to address all my questions whether or not they are directly related to his practice. I trust him unconditionally with my and my family's health. He is oversubscribed and oftem runs late and works long hours. I don't mind waiting given that he spends time needed with each patient and does not rush thru'.

After my doctor showing up unfit for surgery at UN...

After my doctor showing up unfit for surgery at UNM Cancer my friend brought me that day to NM Cancer. But doctors at NM Cancer Center didn't read my records failed to pay attention to the drugs I was on. They demanded I have a very expensive scan before I could even see a doctor for help. I paid a down payment for the fee and made a deal to pay off the rest only to finally see the doctor 30 days later to tell me the test did not show anything because I was on hormones. He told us I should have never had the test. But he is the one that ordered it before I could see him. Even though he had 6 years to the date of my cancer records and had talked to my cancer doctor a few times before I had the test.

Then he lied to us I needed chemo right away and had to go back to UNM Cancer for help ASAP. I could not stay and get care at his center. I found later at Loveless Cancer from two doctors and another later at UNM Cancer I was lied to by NM Cancer Center I don't need chemo a few years and I was made to pay for a test I should have never had? They ripped me off then lied to me to get rid of me, I guess because they got caught.

This is not a safe or honest place! Get a second option before paying these people anything! I have reported their actions and to the NM Medical Board. And I even had to file a case with the BBB to get my money back! That is how dishonest these people are. Or at least what they did to me.

The service is generally good, and the medical care is excellent. However, the service by the general staff is mediocre to bad. For a week, there have been no booties to wear for my procedure. This is after I even mentioned it and was told it would be fixed. Some staff seem lackadaisical about wearing masks at all times, or wearing them properly.

Most of the doctors there are very good, however I ran into one new doctor that took over my case and without even calling or talking to me, cancelled a treatment that I had been getting for 5 years. That treatment was prescribed by 3 other doctors, including 2 from MD Anderson in Houston, TX. This doctor was new and did not know how to deal with patient histories and delicate decisions yet so beware you have to be your own advocate. Once I complained I got another doctor and got my treatments re-instated.

I had my first visit with Doctor Juhee Sidhu. The staff was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better visit. Doctor Juhee Sidhu was approachable, nice, and down to earth and really cared about my concerns. I would have to say she was one of the best doctor's I've been to.

I've been to so many doctors, hospitals, therapists, etc. due to my many illnesses. NM Cancer Center and specifically Dr. Randle Adair, Veronica, and the financial expert Darlene were so careful, gentle, talented, kind, and helpful. I've never been treated so well in my life, and Dr. Adair specifically was incredibly good at educating me on what I needed to do for my very specific set of circumstances and conditions. I loved the care I received. Thank you all for making a difficult thing so much easier.

WORST place I've EVER been! GO ELSEWHERE unless you're rich! One regular office visit cost me $160.00 - WITH insurance!! Just to talk to a doc for 5 minutes! What a joke! No reason, no explanation and then, after I called to make payment arrangements and had made two payments, they sent the bill to collections!!! I have PERFECT credit! WTH? I will never give them one more dime. This place is in it for the money and that's it! PATIENT CARE IS NOT THE PRIORITY HERE.

I appreciate the quick response from everyone at NM Cancer Center. I have spoken with everyone involved with my proposed treatment and it seems like everything will run smoother. I realize some of the insurance problems were out of NMCC's control, but they are working with the insurance to get the problems resolved. Thank you to the entire staff for your help resolving this issue so that I can work on just trying to get better.

The staff and physicians are great. They listen to your concerns and really take care of you. They are very thorough and sensitive to the needs of the patient. They make sure to provide proper follow-up, which is something that is rarely seen anymore in a medical practice.

The New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation plays an important role in supporting these efforts by raising funds for research into new treatments for cancer as well as providing financial assistance to patients who may be struggling with the costs associated with their treatment.

Through its various initiatives such as fundraising events like "Dancing Stars Gala" or "Golf Tournament", community outreach programs like "Cancer Education Series" or "Survivorship Celebration", or even through social media campaigns like #NMCCCares or #ConquerCancerTogether; NMCCF aims at spreading awareness about early detection & prevention measures while offering hope & support towards those affected by this disease.
