Newly renovated. Not quite finished. But it's new and nice. Evenings, after the kiddies get picked up from after school programs, isn't too busy. Except Mondays... avoid Monday's.
Not sure I understand the negative reviews of the Y. As far as I m concerned, the place is fantastic - equivalent to many high end gyms but with better pools than I ve seen anywhere. One of the best aspects of living in NC.
Amazing YMCA! Lots of fun, and the renovations have improved everything. However, they need to bring back the "Health" locker rooms. Great YMCA to go for a swim at.
Paying to pay for classes that aren't close to what other towns and systems offer. Swim lessons are a joke for 3-4 year olds, my sons learned nothing and there was no childcare for one while I was in the pool with the other. Chelsea piers is 1000000% better. Even the kids bears class is a jump zone with 10mins of circle time (only a 45min class) that's $560 per kid a session. Save your money and research the better alternatives
I called to ask questions about membership, and the lady answered the phone didn t even allow me to finish my questions. She just keep refusing me to finish my questions, and hang up the phone call directly after I said thank you. Very rude!
Disappointment. Given certain information telephonically, told the complete opposite in person. Is it a demographics issue? Literally told to go elsewhere when requesting a day pass.
The first time I entered the New Canaan I was 14 years old. That was 1968 . It was great and today it is a .premier "health club" Steam and Sauna in the locker room, 3 pools -2 Olympic and one Therapy pool with whirlpool, exercise areas, machines and on and on. Extremely clean with a pleasant staff.
