Great clays course. Our trapper was awesome. STAN is the man!
Food is great, and the townhouses are amazing! So many fun activities, the field club is worth while
Gorgeous winter decorations. Everything there is overpriced though
Beautiful place. Art everywhere. Very fancy. Would go back.
Everything is CLOSE to nice. The rooms are a bit old and dated, but to mention worn. The service is friendly but inept. The French restaurant is great, but how often can you eat like that...
We did zip lining , paint ball combat , clay shooting , off-roading on Polaris vehicles , golf , virtual golf with our family and family friends . Weather was rainy and dismal but the resort made it a fantastic vacation !
Highly recommend
The motto of this hotel, specifically, Falling Rock suites, should be, no request is impossible . From the moment, we arrived, I was greeted by the valets who promptly took our bags. Excited to start our getaway, I raced inside to finally meet the falling rock concierge, Matti Uber, who painstakingly helped me create the perfect 5 day itinerary (over a period of several weeks) for our 4 year old daughter. We were greeted with sparkling wine and a pandemic package with comfortable reusable masks and hand sanitizer in a cute little pouch.
Matti introduced us to Tommy, a trainee and certified butler who took care of ALL of our needs from picking the perfect pillow, to bringing us healthy green drinks each morning to bringing my husband s swim trunks to the spa before our appointment when we forgot them. There are so many other good things I can say about this resort. I will share a more detailed version on TripAdvisor.
A special note: we were concerned about traveling during this COVID-19 time and it was nice to finally get to experience some luxury. We felt very safe and all aspects of the hotel were clean. All employees wore masks.
Very nice place, but the alcohol prices are beyond excessive and kind of a trap.
A great family friendly resort with plenty to do for Mom, Dad, and the kids!
The workers are very nice and the guides are fantastic.
Wow. Service was impeccable, facilities were 5 star, the private zoo - very cool. Off road adventure was fun. Lots to do on property and you don't have to leave if you don't want to.
Just...a weird place for rich white people...they got lions and tigers though!
amazing... Joe Hardy knows how to build a resort...but bring a stack of cash...but it's worth it...
Great experience. Staff is very prompt and professional.
The light show was 25 dollars for a couple of strands of lights
Absolutely wonderful resort. Well worth the visit. I've been here multiple times & every time they are top level service and professionalism. I got engaged here @ the Lautrec, golfed at their courses, walked through the car & plane museum, also took a visit to the zoo & the spa & salon. Every experience was just as good as the last. Suggest everyone take an extended weekend and visit Nemacolin, no regrets.
Awesome place. Very nicely decorated and updated. Clean rooms, friendly service, and has electric car chargers on the parking lot.
Best vacation ever! So relaxing and so many things to do while your here!
The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious.
Lovely classic resort. Have had better service and messages at spas
Very nice. Lights were up for Christmas. We did the Jeep course which was a lot of fun.
Amazing! The spa is absolutely wonderful and relaxing. The food at all the restaurants is delicious. The location is stunning.
Undeniable beauty! This place has everything you want and more. Amazingly kept grounds, super fancy lobby and building interiors, mini golf, pool, zoo animals, gardens, etc. We had a phenomenal mother's day brunch complete with lots of high quality options and a surprise gift for moms. We will be going back!
Beautiful resort. Activities and spa are fantastic. Food was A++. Staff was super nice and helpful.
Loved this place, I wish I could have stayed longer.
There is so much to see and do, plan for it when you stay here.
The resort is beautiful inside and outside. We spent the night in a Lodge room with an amazing 5th story view and a balcony. The staff was extremely attentive. All if the amenities and food were top quality.
The trip was great. Plenty of activities on a very large campus. Great history to the place. A bit pricey but worth it.
I'm having a wonderful time here! The staff is incredible. Our room is beautiful and sparkling clean. Everything is so modern and updated. I cannot say enough good things. We leave Wednesday, and I regret not booking an extra day.
A perfect place for a workplace retreat! A little work mixed in with a lot of fun and it was very well organized by their Conference Service Manager and his team!
Beautiful and first class resort! Great venue for your family getaway or for an entire business/church group.
This was my first time at Nemacolin. My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here and enjoyed every minute of it! We will return, for sure. Plan on returning in the summer with our sons. Loved "living" on the 5th floor in the Chateau with our friendly butlers. Wow! What an experience!
Falling Rock #1903. 12/24 - 12/28. Words can not describe Nemacolin. The staff the dining and the atmosphere are superb. Grayson our butler was the Best! He made our stay above and beyond. What ever we needed he was there. Our family wants to thank you for making us feel so special.
Falling Rock is the hotel of dreams. The activities at Nemacolin are endless. During our stay we fed tigers, lions and sheep. Snow tubing, horseback riding, dog sledding and nursery tour. Every staff member at each went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
Dining at Lautrec Christmas morning brunch, dinner at Rockwells and breakfast at Aqueous one could not ask for a better experience. Thank you Nemacolin this will be a Christmas we will never forget.
Beautiful place nice place to take your family and relax
Great place to visit and walk around. You don't need to be a guest to get in. You can go and check it out and explore everything they have to offer. Shuttle service is free as well and they have kids games, ice cream and shops inside. Very nice view and worth the drive.
Beautiful setting, great activities, impressive art collection.
Amenities are spectacular. Great restaurants and activities for all ages. Great weekend resort withing driving distance from DC.
Expansive resort, tons of things to do. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. Interesting art around every corner. We ate at at about four different restaurants, the food in each was very good. We stayed in one in the Maples Townhomes. The townhouse was wonderfully decorated and just the right size for the four of us. All the activities we participated in were well run, and fun, but a bit expensive. We would definitely come back.
Great place!!! Staff is great, workers are great, management is great and all of Nemacolin looks great... Thanks All!
Beautiful atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Top notch facility.
This place is next level! The customer service is above and beyond. The service is just amazing. There are so many activities and different things to do, we didn't get to them all in 1 weekend. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back! We stayed at falling rock and it was beautiful! Would love to try the lodge next. There are shuttles to bring you all around the property. There's live music at caddy shack. The food at aqueous and caddy shack were fantastic. Brunch at lautrec was just ok. The foliage this weekend was just beginning but still beautiful!
People very nice. Rooms are getting a little old and out of date
We went for light up night. The tree was awesome. Walked around, looked at the art and decorarions. Very beautiful, seemed liked no expense was spared in the details
Gorgeous place with such rich history and culture!! Different restaurants and bars are incredible, just a great place to go and explore!
Underwhelming. The room I booked for my family of 4 was under equipped. Not enough dressers to unpack our clothes, too few towels and soaps in the bathroom. There are no shelves in the bathtub shower. I ve stayed in better furnished budget hotels.
There are quality issues, too. We noticed on the first day that our shower drain was clogged and slow. I called the front desk to get it plunged. Right now, day 2, nothing has been done. Also, The water in the kids pool was murky.
The food we had was underwhelming for the price. I don t mind paying more for quality and service, e.g. Sullivan s, Hyde Park, etc. but the food and friendliness here didn t justify the premium price.
I may visit again only to make a spa day trip, but It s doubtful I ll spend another night or eat another meal here
The physical Hotel is very nice. Restaurant and bar staff were not friendly and at times rude. Went to the restaurant in casino. The people in the casino did not appear to be hotel guest and made for an interesting environment. Drinks were horrible. Food was not that great either. We ate and quickly left. Had breakfast at the autumn. Server was inattentive and very slow. Never received our sides and had to ask multiple times just to get more coffee. Food was decent here. Hotel room was nice but had a loud grinding noise in the wall at night. Hotel bell hops and valet were very good and on point.
The Washington townhouse were great. Felt just like home. The resort had delicious food.
I played the Mystic Rock course in July 2019. The course is not in good shape and definitely has seen better days. The sand is matted in all of traps and needs replaced. The greens were extremely slow even for a public course. We were also in "bug hell" for the entire round. The caddy said the bugs have gotten really bad over the last few years and he was right. There is a lot of water on the course which is probably why they were so bad. It made the round a lot less enjoyable. If you are looking for a round of golf at a decent public course I would recommend going somewhere else where it will be similar quality for a fraction of the cost.
Was only there to shop. Items in the outlet store by the casino were way too expensive. Other shops different have much of a variety.
My room wasn't ready at 4pm check-in time. It wasn't ready until 6pm which was highly annoying. We stayed in the Washington Townhomes. The townhome was nice, cozy, comfortable but smelled like wet dog. Hence the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. The highlights of the trip really are the restaurants. We tried them all. Lautrec is an experience which rivals some of the best restaurants in the world. We had brunch and dinner there and while the price tag for 3 people was hefty, it really was amazing. The spa was nice too as well as the salon. The shuttle service is great but if you are elderly of handicap be cautious, this isn't really an ADA super friendly place. All in all for the middle of no-where PA, it is a pretty extraordinary place.
The place was beautiful and clean. Our spa services were excellent. The spa was well stocked making it convenient to shower and change right there. However...the spa services, which were booked through the hotel when we booked the room, were scheduled wrong, as in half of them were not scheduled at all. Our pre-ordered room service breakfast was never delivered and when when we went to check out, the front desk woman was less than pleasant. This may sound trivial, but a night here isn't cheap, I think expecting exceptional service is not out of line. I'm not sure I'd go again.
Wonderful working experience there.wonderful ambiance, Beautiful scenery.
It's nice to know where the Pirates money goes because this place is fantastic!
So much fun there !! Love, love staying there!! So beautiful !!
Unless you get a room in a main hotel building, you feel like you are in 3 star resort with 5 star prices! Entire place is decorated in contemporary style from 70's and kept relatively clean for its age. Ok for 1-2 nights, not a day more. Despite all activities listed on a resort schedule, there is not much to do with little kids except for sitting in outdoor pool, which sometimes gets very crowded. Outdoor pool is normally closed at 7pm and has one small waterslide for kids, when its not closed for maintenance. Indoor kids pool usually open till 9pm, when its not closed for disinfection. Outdoor zoo is there, but most exotic animals hide from summer heat during the day and only show up early in the morning or late in the evening. Resort staff periodically play fake lion roar recordings to attract guests to the zoo, while real lions hide exhausted in a shade. Sadly, we saw more chipmunks running around than animals in a zoo. On some days there are lots of mosquitoes hunting anything they can bite, take sprays. Resort restaurants are way overrated and kind of overpriced for the food, service and atmosphere you get for your $$$. If you looking for a place to take your kids to, look elsewhere. All main restaurants and amenities are located in 2 main buildings or across the street. The rest of the resort is like a small PA community with lots of open fields and trees and pretty much nothing to do. This resort is better for adults without kids that seek quiet place to relax for a weekend.
This is a beautiful place, rooms are nicely appointed and the whole operation is well managed, everyone is friendly! This is truly a five-star Resort
I was here for a 3day business meeting. Staff was excellent, always friendly. Public spaces are very well maintained and enjoyable, with tons of shops and places to sit. One minor ding is that the catering for the event was just OK.
Attended for the forth of July celebration. The food was good but over priced ($8 for a burger). The building and atmosphere was very modern and nice. Would recommend
Went here for the laurel highlands jeep fest. It was not what we expected and we will never be back. Gave a one star rating because there's nothing lower.
Great service and rooms. Tavern is a great place to try for dinner and drinks.
This is a true treasure close to the Pittsburgh area, it is absolutely beautiful place for a romantic weekend away or a fun family trip!
The customer service for the actual resort is excellent. I've been coming yearly for about 11 years. The only issues I've had in the past is with The Tavern (a mediocre onsight restaurant with bad management). I keep eating there because the friends I am with like it since it is relatively cheaper and more casual than some of the other (better) resort restaurants. This time, a front desk manager "Eric" saved my stay after The Tavern got my takeout order wrong and insisted I leave my room and trek back to the restaurant (not a short walk, I might add) to "show them" the error. Huh? And this was the restaurant's assistant manager! McDonald's will at least take your name and give you a credit if you've left the site. Is this not an award-winning resort? Apparently those standards end at the door of The Tavern. Anyway, I went to the front desk to get the general manager's contact info for the restaurant (to send a strongly worded email) but instead, Eric (front desk) called them directly, had them redo my food, had it brought to the lodge, personally brought to my room, AND gave me a credit toward my stay (partially because the resort was late getting my room ready). THAT is 5-star service. I love Nemacolin. The Tavern, not so much. I've attached the before and after pic of the $24 salad in question (Same salad, but the difference is a no brainer, right?) Thank you, thank you, thank you Eric. You really turned my night/weekend stay around.
