Image and museum is housed in a beautiful building that is beautifully designed inside and out. It is spread over different floors. The entrance is not too bad. You will be welcomed nicely. There is a lot to do, you can make your own journal, there is a lot of image material and film material from the past. The equipment of the past can be viewed. You can do so many. There is a restaurant and plenty of seats inside and out. There are enough toilets and there is a lift. You walk on many stairs. Highly recommended to go here.

Interesting, but for young people around the age of sixteen or so, it is actually nothing. There are many things to do for small children and even more for adults who come from the days of the first radios and TVs. However, there is not a lot of entertain between the people in between. However, it is interesting and educational.

Cattle nicer than I expected. Children, have a great time. Had a great day.

For children up to and including 11 years old to participate in all kinds of challenging games. For visitors of 20 years and older to party recognition.

Fun museum, not too crowded when I was there on a wednesday.

Was there for the top2000 cafe. Can't judge the museum but it seems to me very worthwhile. Will definitely go there myself.

Been to the TOP2000 cafe. Everything is well arranged. While waiting before you can enter the cafe, there is plenty to do. From a party tent with its own program, to a souvenir shop with all kinds of fun items.

Very nice museum for young and old. Many interactive activities that can even be seen at home. Very up-to-date and innovative, but older techniques and ways of exhibiting are also used. Even our youngest of 3 thought it was a nice museum.

Separately, it was difficult for many subjects to get more information

Fun for the youth and adults who want to see something from their youth. We have donated two televisions from the 1950s. Covered parking.

Very nice and well cared for museum! Impressive building too. There is plenty to see and plenty to do for children.
The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions.
With the ring that you receive upon arrival, you can register, so that you can watch film, photo or sound clips in which you have played at home later.

Parking is possible in the adjacent garage at 1.50 per hour. In addition, there is a neat place to eat.

The only pity is that you do not have access to the location where old image and film material and equipment is present. This is logical in terms of safety, but perhaps one part could be opened up.

All in all just nice, recommended!

Nice place, but very outdated collection. Have been coming here for years and many things are exactly the same. With the Media Park next door there must be something to be done about it.
Top crowds also because of the top 2000 cafe! That was different a few years ago! Eg in 2013 I was able to effortlessly enter twice in succession

I personally didn't like it. But neither did my 2 children aged 15 and 17.
Everything is through a screen with questions.
If you did everything, you would effectively spend 5 hours asking questions via screens.
The staff is very nice and the building impressive!

Fell against me, brilliant for smaller children who can do a lot themselves. No patience for such matters. Building is overwhelming in its size and layout.

Today we had a great day with Image and Sound with the children and grandchildren. There was plenty to see and do for young and old. Definitely going there again.

We were here with 2 adults and thought it was "nice". I experienced many nostalgic moments, but you can also find them on the internet. I think it is really fun for children aged 6-12.

I've been here a few times now. You must register and you will receive a ring. You hold the ring in front of a screen so that you can watch, for example, television clips from YOUR youth.
It is always nice inside ... but, it is time for a new layout. The news is now finished.

When the Sound and Vision opened, I went there once. Then it was updated and fun. However, 8/9 years later it is still exactly the same. Even the films above the cash registers are still playing.

The interactive part is also really outdated. Maybe nice for older people. But definitely not worth the high price.

As a media fan you must have been here! A feast of recognition and memory.

On a rainy Sunday afternoon in September a visit to image and sound. Because of the weather it was probably very busy. That does affect the experience of the museum.
Your visit will be personalized with a ring with chip. That is very nice. Registering takes a while, especially if it is busy. When entering the museum floor, the museum looks impressive, unclear and busy. Perhaps the right word is overwhelming. There is so much to do and see that I at least lost the overview.
So immerse yourself in the experience. The museum is about interaction. In many places you log in with your ring to get information that is tailored to your age. Nicely done. It is then, especially for adults, perhaps also a trip down memory lane. Reliving your youth. The DIY activities are the most appealing for young people. Fun is also the media lounge where you can view the harvest of the day together.
Definitely worth it, but do not visit (big) crowds.

Was only there for the Top2000, but definitely come back again.

Seems nice to me but today it was so busy that you could hardly see or hear anything. Unfortunately. A maximum number of visitors would have been nice and saved us a lot of money.

My Dutch-speakind nine-year-old liked the "Experience". The interactive exhibits worked well and were fun and educational.

Nice afternoon ...... it is very focused on children and we did not expect that. For children very educational and there are fun things to do. For adults I found it less, hence only three stars. The ring did not always work.

The museum takes you back to the old Dutch TV shows and I would really recommend to Dutch people.

I would also recommend the HillywoodTour, it was a super experience to go backstage in all the Dutch studio's

Nice nostalgic images, many interactive options. Both for old and young.

A striking building situated in the Mediapark. You can easily get there by car, but you can also stop nearby by public transport (including the train).

It is an interactive museum - with a special Image & Sound ring on your finger you activate all kinds of screens and other situations. I have not come across a real educational factor. You mainly pick up old TV memories here, close to the media heart of the Netherlands. For children there are many interactive things such as presenting / filming your own news clip. For the adult audience it is mainly focused on retrieving old memories.

In short, nice to have been once. I have visited the museum more often, but the added value has disappeared for me. Don't get me wrong: it is certainly interesting the first time. Only when you come here more often do you begin to wonder why you didn't just scour the internet at home for fragments.

Great for Dutchies but there s absolutely nothing interesting if you re not from the Netherlands. Everything is in Dutch and about Dutch tv- and radio-history.

The beautiful building can't hide the fact that the museum is a bit boring. There are quite nice items but as an adult I had seen it after 45m. The restaurant is also very expensive.

Fun, interactive, well-organized day out! Definitely recommended, for all ages. There is something for everyone in this museum, everything looks good, the waiting times are certainly not too long and if you are a bit tired and hungry after several hours, there is an excellent restaurant with delicious sandwiches! Top, we'll be back.

Very nice and interactive museum. It was pretty busy, but we personally did not find that very disturbing. For the museum you can easily spend from early to closing time.

Very nice set up with various TV and radio programs. The visit can personalize all the material that you create can later be found online. Especially for children, but not less for adults. Very nice property also both inside and out. I'm just not sure I would have paid the high entrance fee to 16 euros without Museumkaart.

The free excursion is recommended for those interested in old image and sound recordings. The activity section is great fun with children.

Very chaotic, little information and especially many videos. The children enjoyed it but were soon bored.

Super fun, there is so much to see. And your youth that comes up again.
