Very disappointing. Here's a person that has worked same profession for 13 years and unfortunately finds herself jobless. But because she neglected to use neworks for 1 job search, she's declined her benefits. Pretty disgusting if you ask me.
Site is very confusing. I applied for benefits 16 days ago and my co- workers applied after and they rec d their benefits already. I have tried to contact several times and can not get ahold of anyone. We have no money and cannot help the circumstances we are in. This is very disappointing
I know that this has been a troubling time but seriously, this is my first time ever having to file for unemployment and I began my weekly files a month and a half ago. People around me are getting their claims (even some who applied after me and put down they were fired) and I'm still waiting for even some communication from anything about anything. I can't keep this up, I'm literally almost 2 months behind on most of my bills. Please help. I try to call during "business hours" but automated system says your closed. Wait for the live chat and am put on the waiting list, but even after an hour still or 2 the number count ahead of me has not gone down. I know there is a delay but I'm getting desperate.
Absolutely horrible. I m honestly not sure of the quality of people they have because NOTHING ever seems to get done. They can t pick up a call, lost documented paperwork sent from another state, and god forbid they have any helpful information for someone whose going through this for the first time. If I was this bad at my job I d be fired, but alas it s just the government at work. Completely incompetent. Laughable how bad this office is honestly.
My first time applying for unemployment due to a military move-- my claim is active with no issues but no payments and its been almost two months. I get different answers depending on who I can get on the phone and lots of promises for follow up that go no where. For the most part the help desk doesn't seem to know what they are talking about. Very sad and discouraging, especially with how difficult things already are for many Nebraskans.

I called an got an 855 number but its an insurance place the dont hadle unemployment. Wow are tax dollars at work.
It's so unfair how these people are mishandling cases. This is the wrong time to be playing with money we all need badly. See they don't have our problems. They still go home with no worries. They still get a payday. So basically to hell with us right??? Smh I so need this little money. They act as if the money comes out their pocket literally and it does NOT. PLEASE give us our money. This office is supposed to be helpful, and in my opinion if they can t treat their own fellow workers with respect. There s no way they treat guests with the respect that they deserve. If I could give 0 stars I would!
Can't ever get a hold of someone when you call all the phones just ring or go to voicemail what the hell are they being paid to do watch the phones ring and send out letters asking you to call them so they can watch the phone ring or what is going on at this office cause it doesn't seem that anyone really works there cause I drove to the place doors were all locked nobody to be seen from the doors place looked abandoned
The staff seem completely clueless. They don't care what happens to you or your family.. they will try as hard as they can to make sure you don't receive anything.
Can't get a supervisor to bother to call you back. The people at the claim center are nice but don't know nothing. Been waiting over 6 weeks for them to contact my employer.
Called for a week straight think I spent over 18 hrs first week. Then when I did speak with someone, they didn t know the answer to my questions so they transferred me and call was droooed. No they didn t call me back. I think I was #175 that day. I was denied unemployment for a long time because I had a P.O. Box in my home state. I don t have a residence there and explained to them they emails and one phone call of course. I finally went to Iowa unemployment office where they do answer the phone and try to help you. Told me Nebraska was wrong and I didn t even work in Iowa. But I explained to them that Nebraska insisted I lived here and I needed to file form out
The most problematic agency to work with ever. Why do they have operators for if they are not willing to help anyone?

Takes them 20 years to respond to a claim. You will be homeless before they accept your unemployment.
It brings me great joy knowing that despite the unfortunate couple of weeks of unemployment I have experienced, I will always outperform the lazy, rude, and wretched staff at the unemployment office of Nebraska In every job/career I ever hold. 1 answer per 10 calls and terrible assistance for a guy who has never had a problem getting or maintaining a job. Your staff has really set the bar low, your representation of the government Inspires a lack of faith from good Americans in their time of need.
Update not only did it take over a month they also trapped me into saying i worked a job i didn't i didn't mean to i didn't know i did but now i owe them all the money back i have not worked in over 2 months i don't know what they expect
Absoulty horrible. I get lied to daily get zero help had many people just hang up on me and or stop replying to emails I've sent. I sent emails because they are recorded. Proves what a horrible careless people work there. Just a horrible system and horrible people working it.
I found the place called the toll-free number for employment and never received a call from the person who was supposed to be here to help me get a job.
In 6 months zero benefits, zero help. Website not user friendly. If you have an issue, you're on your own.
The call center employees are courteous but the higher-ups couldn't care less about you. I've been waiting for my unemployment for going on 12 weeks now. This is ABSOLUTELY despicable. No one from the DOL will call me back and tell me what the problem is. No one knows or can tell me anything and I'm fed up. I NEED ANSWERS!!!
Absolutely horrendous. Cannot get any help from this place. I ve tried calling, emailing, etc with no answer. It s tax season, and they messed up on my claims and forms. Don t know what I m expected to do if I can t get the problem fixed. Disgusting.
Just awful been filing since February 2020 still haven't received a payment. I was waiting for a supervisor too call for I have been waiting for a call for 5 month now I have been calling every other day. I can't get a straight answer from them. Won my appeal still no payment. Had to file a late appeal because I received nothing in the mail or email stating that I had to send in documentation on why I couldn't work, then it's some more nonsense. I worked for that money I should not have to go through all the this to receive money that I worked for I feel like I'm being blackball

They deny people that are unable to attend their"required" classes. Especially if you live 3 hours away and don't have the fuel money to "attend" their classes. The people in Lincoln need a reality check. And they especially treat US Veterans like dirt.
