We were referred to Melody by a friend, early in January 2019, he had worked with her in the past and had such nice things to say. Well, we ended up not buying a house then, when we realized we were not exactly ready . Then in June we started looking again and this time we decided to shop around for lenders as well, to compare. long story short we still found our way back to Melody who now was with Neat Capital and she was awesome, very transparent, she will pick up her phone at any time . She and her team made the whole process less tedious, and we closed escrow right on our time . And I m super grateful, because I love love love my new home !!!!

Neat Capital is not a reputable mortgage company. Do not trust them with your mortgage. Trust the negative reviews written here - all of the stories here of people waiting 2, 4 or in my case 6 months with very little transparency are true. I submitted dozens of documents, all pointing to an excellent credit score and a low-risk loan, and it didn't make a difference. I was told I was ready to close multiple times, only to have the goal posts moved repeatedly. I've reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Please note - this poor review should not reflect poorly on the mortgage brokers, whose hands are tied. The company is devastatingly mismanaged, and needs to be investigated.

Refi with them at beginning of August. 4 months later, after pull my credit twice, still has no closing date! Every time we ask what s the hold up, they say it s due to volume! But how much volume it could be that we waited so long! How can you treat the customers like this?! Really need an explanation!

Take your business elsewhere. Refi has taken 6 months. Communication has been horrible. Finally got to what I thought was going to be the closing date and then the notary just never showed up and I was informed the signing had been canceled. No explanation as to why. The painful process in working with this lender is not worth whatever rate they are quoting. Hard to tell if they are overwhelmed or just incompetent.

I recently refinanced my mortgage using Melody Rose at Neat Capital and I couldn't be happier.
I refinanced using the unique loan product utilizing my assets to accomplish my refinance.
I first contacted the mortgage broker who initially got me the first loan on my home. The loan product he offered was a short term loan at a significantly higher interest rate than I currently had which is crazy! Especially because interest rates are so good right now and the solution he offered would have defeated the purpose of refinancing to reduce my mortgage payment.
I then called 2 credit unions who said they do not handle asset based loans.
I contacted Melody Rose at Neat Capital and she got me a guaranteed 30 year fixed rate loan. This is exactly what I wanted. I am saving over $500 a month now on my mortgage payments.
I never once had to call Melody to bug her about anything. She always called me first and always kept me in the loop on what was happening. I loved her competence and professionalism.
I live in California and during my refinance I had to go to Denver unexpectedly to take care of a family member so to easy my stress and anxiety Melody set up a notary public to come to my brother's house in Denver for me to sign my closing documents. It was such a relief and I was able to close on time.

The company has poor efficiency. I requested the mortage refiance about half an year. Underwriter also found some strange requests asking us to provide additional information. It is quite frustrating. Like the other reviewer mentioned, they have to pull our credit twice. stay away!!
