I was helped by Jason at the store and he helped me put together a quote for aPc I m planning to build a couple months from now.

He was very informative, very good with communication and helped me make a few decisions that were not clear to me before going to the store.

He managed to put together the quote very quickly while educating me on the options that I have. I didn t feel like he is hard selling me on anything which was very refreshing and pleasant.

Yesterday I walked in there 7pm to buy a gaming he...

Yesterday I walked in there 7pm to buy a gaming headset (Razer Kraken) for my friend's birthday. I knew they had the product in store so I was going to purchase and give it to her that night. As soon as I paid, an error message popped up in their system. They said the payment probably went through but cannot give me the product as they will have to get a confirmation number from their head office (Ontario). They promised me that they will call their head office first thing tomorrow morning to get a confirmation number and give me a call to come pick up.

I didn't receive any calls today until 1pm so I called them to check on the status. They said they sent an "email" but haven't heard any responses back yet. Now they're saying it can take up to 4 days to get the confirmation number. I asked if I can just cancel the order but they said they have to wait for the confirmation number from head office.

So now... I'm out $120 and late for my friend's birthday gift.

They said this has happened once before to another customer. I wish they been honest with me yesterday and told me it may take up to 4 days.

I walked in looking for a specific product. The staff stocking shelves were eager to assist me and test out the product with my laptop. Shelves were full of products and the two things I bought were a great price. Keep it up for the next 2-3 years and you'll get the 5th star.

Highly recommend this store. They have lots of high quality products and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I purchased something there and paid the original price even though it was advertised as on sale and the sales associate looked into it promptly. Even though the sale already passed, he honoured the price shown and reimbursed me for the additional amt I paid. Great service and products!

The sales associate that helped me find what I was looking for was knowledgeable and fast. They had a decent selection of computer hardware along with lots of demo units to check out. My only gripe was I had to wait about 5 minutes to pay once I was finished. I totally understand the extra strain put on staff due to covid precautions and I appreciate the work they're doing.

The associate who was helping me find the specific product in which I was inquiring had amazing customer service. His name is Thomas and has definitely left an exceptional impression when visiting this shop for the first time. He was aiding as many customers as possible along with keeping his composure and quickly finding solutions to all their questions and concerns. I was personally astounded with the amount of effort and enthusiasm he expressed which transcended my expectations from an electronic store. The part for which I was desperately searching was seamlessly retrieved without any issues and virtually zero wait time. I strongly recommend this specific location for you computer needs.

P.S. The part he recommended fit perfectly with my rig and it runs beautifully.

Other Canada computers locations in BC, and in Canada, may have a bad reputation but this location isn't bad. My dealings with Thomas, Brandon and sangjun have been very positive. They are kind and supportive. Patient to boot! Wish Canada computers would give them more authority to provide customers with additional value as their customer service skills are quite awesome. Match that up with additional value and you start building a stronger brand and potential lifelong customers. If it weren't for these guys(and to be honest the rewards system) I'd have gone to their competitors. I can say the same about one or two staff at the Grandview location as well. Hopefully someone at Canada computers sees this and does a little something for them. I'd be willing to give some more feedback as there are some issues with how the brick and mortar stores are being supported/serviced to include their online presence.

I brought my son to the Coquitlam branch to get him a new PC. Lily, the sales lady who assisted us was amazing. She understood what my son wanted and recomendeed the exact set up that made his day. She was very patient and kind. We had some questions after we bought the PC and emailed her. She replied so promply and was a great help.

Automatic 5 Stars for a techie type of guy like myself.

These guys deserve 6 stars for this location at least in my opinion. I went in for a second purchase and was planning to spend 50 bucks on a cheap new keyboard but their staff was exceptional in going above and beyond with their positive attitude and support and not giving me an ounce of pressure to buy anything. In the end we browsed through many keyboards and they patiently guided me in learning about the difference between mechanical keys vs the old version of keys. I ended up getting a fantastic deal on a Corsair k70 MK2 and even though I went over my budget I'm happy with this investment, as I think it will enhance my personal typing needs as well as for business and gaming for many many years to come!
You guys made me a big fan of keyboards now! Very cool stuff.

I needed some positive service and I got it. I needed some training and patience to teach me a little bit about computers and the CPU fan that I needed and I got it.

The fan that I had purchased also gave me the opportunity to order a 3-year protection plan and the fan is compatible with a new computer and most models if I decide to custom build a new computer in the future. Absolutely awesome!

Totally sold on the value with this company at the Coquitlam location and hope to be a customer for life with these guys.

Bought a gaming PC today, and overall experience was great. There were properly 2m social distancing, and only two customers in the store at any given time. I appreciated that they took safety seriously.

Thomas a sales rep was very helpful, and despite a line-up of customers took his time and shared tips, warranty and return policy. The machine in question works great.

Had a great experience here. Brandon helped me out with ease when Bestbuy''s Geek Squad had no clue what I was talking about. They have hand sanitizer at door and you must wait at door until someone serves you which was within 1 minute. Everyone was wearing masks and masks are required to enter store which is great during a pandemic! I will not waste time going anywhere but here or London drugs when it comes to great customer service and knowledge about computer hardware and software. Thanks again for making my day Brandon.

Go to Memory Express instead! ME does price protection and matching with competitors up to 15 days after purchase and beat it by 10% to boot. Canada Computers doesn't do any of that and would rather turn customers away.

First off I'd like to say that I really appreciate...

First off I'd like to say that I really appreciate that specialty computer stores exist. I am willing to pay a premium for convenience and local warrant and support. I have also had some helpful advice from some of the techs here in the past.

Recently though, the customer support has not been great. When coming to the store for a computer issue or product search, the staff have been unable or unwilling to help.

For example, when looking for a computer case with more than 3 HDD bays and USB-C support, the staff was not able to offer me with any case options and instead tried to sell me on cases that didnt fit my needs. I had to go home to research more myself, only to discover they had two such cases from well know brands in stock at another of their locations.

For example, when asking about which of their fans were silent, they didnt have any knowledge about which fans were best to sell other than that 'these should be OK'.

For example when asking for what fastest external storage device they had in stock, they tried to sell me a HyperX flash drive, which 1) The corsair and sandisk extreme flash drives at the time are both faster and cheaper and 2) right behind them on the shelf they had the samsung T5 which was at least twice as fast, offered more storage and was significantly cheaper.

For example, when I had problems with a nvme drive I bought from them and asked them to check if they could see whether the drive was broken or if I should have them check my system, they said it would take 3 business days and would cost 50$ to do diagnostics. Checking the drive to see if a full PC diagnostic was even necessary would have taken max 10 minutes if they installed it into a functional system or external nvme reader. When I asked them if they had an external adapter so I could do it at home, they said they didn't carry it.

Also, recently they have been stocking their own brand iCAN with few 3rd party alternatives in stock (eg. For USB-C port hubs.) And I find that these no-name-brand-kind of products they sell have too much cheap plastic and questionable build quality.

It is rare that I come here that they have the most up-to-date product availability and advice on products outside the scope of a basic budget PC.

IMO

If you know exactly what you're buying, this place is fine.

If you have no idea what parts you need or how to build a PC, and don't want to do the research - come here instead of Best Buy for sure.

If you want more detailed computer part advice, tech support, or opinions on carried products that aren't mainstream, somewhere else will probably help you better.

I just purchased several high end parts at Canada Computers Coquitlam location.

Quinn was the staff member that was helping me and he was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, honest, very knowledgeable and was able to make some very good recommendations.

For excellent customer service I definitely recommend this location and would also like to also thank the other staff that were eager to offer their assistance and expertise.

Even after service he gave me a courtesy call, which I was very impressed with and he made me feel like I was not just another job. He gave me some very good advice. Thanks again Thomas!

If you want your computer fixed don't bother bringing it to these guys. They charge you $50.00 upfront for an "estimate". They were unable to solve basic problems in two computers I brought in. Brought them to global electrics after and they fixed them both.
Save your time and money avoid the service center at Canada computers really weak techs.

They refused to return or exchange because of it.The manager dint even take the effort of explaining .Just left the batteries with them .Very poor service .Terrible return policy
