Took off a Tuesday afternoon for mid-week staff retreat by way of Navitat's Mountaintop Zipline Tour. It was a blast. Dom and Casey were amazing guides and offered a wealth of information about the plants and wildlife we passed, while creating a really fun, exciting experience. We particularly enjoyed Dom's Jurassic Park/TRex Halloween costume. Casey's lifeguard costume was awesome, too, but there's just something about a TRex on a zipline.... Navitat was a great experience all around, from booking, to check-in, to the ride up the mountain, and beyond. Highly recommend. We can't wait to go back!

A superb experience. I was on the 1000 tour on 4/27 with Derek and his fellow guide Julie. They were extremely courteous, humorous, and knowledgeable not only the zip-course, but also the surrounding natural habitat. Safety was continuously observed and exercised. If you're looking to zip-line for the first time, this is the place to do it.

Top Notch staff will take you to the Top of the Mountain! Could not have asked for a better experience to scratch off a Bucket List item. Staff and guides are professional, experienced and make the adventure a ton of fun from beginning to end. I suggest if you do this - GO FOR IT - and tackle the highest, longest zip known as the Beast of the East! You won't regret it! I WILL be back!! Thanks, guys...you all are awesome!!

Review of Asheville: Mountaintop Tour Zipline Experience

Navitat is one of the most organized, professional, friendly, fun and inviting outdoor adventure companies! They have so much to offer to their guests! The best part of our zip lining experience was our guides, Kevin and Derrick. They made every part of the tour at Navitat entertaining, exciting, and educational at the same time. My friends from GA and I had such a great time, I've decided to bring my former Asheville coworkers to Navitat next week! I'm requesting Kevin and Derrick again---not only are they the perfect guides, they're passionate about their jobs and sincerely care about everyone in your group. I was impressed by the knowledge both had of the environment, history of the area, and of course zip lining. Derrick did such a great job of taking photos I bought the whole package! Navitat is a short drive from downtown Asheville off I-26 north (US 19 N/US23 N), they have great signage, easy check-in, a kind & welcoming reception staff, nice gift shop (even mosquito repellant!!), lots of fun outdoor games to play while you're waiting for your tour if arriving early, and plenty of parking. I've been zip lining in Costa Rica and other locations, but I honestly can say Navitat is worth every penny and more thanks to their wonderful staff and impeccably run business. THANK YOU!!!

Navitat is such a great experience from start to finish! We did the Mountain Top Tour; it was exhilarating! Allee and Shannon were our guides for the day. They were a lot of fun and super knowledgeable. We learned quite a bit about the local plants, geography, trees, etc. They somehow managed to be informative, jokey, professional, safety conscious and personable all at the same time. Well done! Can t wait to go back again!

We had such a great time. I recommend and I can't wait to do it again! The views are absolutely amazing and there's such a nice breeze! All the staff is so nice. The rides are worth it! Our guide Jackson was the best! You definitely should head down and try it out! I can't wait to go back!!!!

Great Mother's Day tour - with lots of wonderful mothers and fun guides - Caitlin, Allee, Dori, and Daniel. The tour was exhilarating and the guides really made it a special day. Thanks!

Everyone was attentive, pleasant and kind from the moment we walked in. There are a few little games out to entertain us while we waited which were fun. There were things to purchase that were in my opinion at a reasonable price. The restrooms were clean and well maintained and as for the parking since we arrived early for our 9:30 am tour there were no issues but I can see the parking becoming a little tight throughout the day. The front girls explained what we needed to know and our tour guides, Ethan and Derrick, knew their stuff. They made sure to answer all our questions, pointed out interesting things along the way and were wonderful at making sure everyone had a good time safely. Before I knew it, it was over :((((( I happened to purchase the package that included all the pictures and they went sent via email literally in less than an hour after finishing the tour even though it said it to allow 24 hrs which is awesome. The views are incredible !!!!! The type of experience that pictures can capture but don't do them justice!! Such a GREAT experience and I definitely recommend it!!

I enjoyed the adventure side of this experience! It was a sunny but windy day yet we still had a great group and alot of positive energy with our guide, Sam. One of his jokes: "Turn the handle to speed up" actually had half our group believing it.. lol. He laughed so hard, and for the group to start off distant, I felt that we ended the experience as a family.

Also, if you're scared of heights...this is the perfect experience because only the first step off the jump zone is the scariest.

Navitat was amazing and we had the best guide - Kayla! She was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire experience so much better!

As someone with a deathly fear of heights, I wasn't sure if I'd make it through the adventure. The tour guides were so friendly and kept me so at ease, and with only minor hesitation I was able to overcome my nerves and take the plunge to witness some of the most breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge mountains. I will always be glad that I did this! (Did not do the highest/fastest tour, but will consider it next time we're in the area.)

For our first ever time zip lining we had the best time! We were scared at first but we all felt completely safe & relaxed with the team we went out on (whose names escape me for now) . Everyone there was super friendly & knowledgeable. I would totally go again!

Woo hoo! Yet another amazing find in this new place called home. I took my granddaughter for her thirteenth birthday and we had a blast. We went on the "treetop adventure" with zip lines, swinging rope bridges, and a rappel at the end. A beautiful day, the best guides ever... Thanks to Stephanie and Casey....heart pumping ziplines. Just too much fun. The van ride up the mountain made me close my eyes but our driver, Brian had ten years under his belt. I knew we were safe and sound. You would be nuts not to try this!!! Thanks Navitat.

My friends and I did the Mountain Top Zip line tour! We had the best time. Kayla and Jared were awesome guides-very knowledgeable and had great jokes! I already know I'll be returning very soon! We felt safe and well taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Plus, they are local!!

This place is so AWESOME! We brought my husband's parents over Memorial Day weekend and had the best time. Not only is the zip-line experience exhilarating but we truly enjoyed hiking through the woods and learning about the history, plants, and trees along the way. It is a beautiful property and is the quintessential Asheville/Appalachian Mountain experience. I highly recommend making a trip out there.

Big props to our tour guide Daniel for keeping us comfortable and laughing throughout the entire tour. Stephanie drove us up the mountain to our first stop and it was nothing short of a fun ride. Definitely one of the most memorable parts of the whole experience. Dan, the manager, encouraged us to check this place out and we are SO glad he did. We will be visiting again soon and bringing some new friends next time!

My guides, Dory and Daniel, were stellar. I was afraid but they made me feel comfortable and safe. It was so fun! Also Caitlin and Allee were great. Such amazing guides.

The scenery just to get to location was beautiful not to mention the great views while actually zipping. The hikes leading up to the lines weren t too intensive but were still good enough to get your heart rate up. Nick L really made the tour for us by giving us fun facts about the area and the nature around us and was overall very nice and personable. We truly enjoyed our experience.

Awesome experience! A total of $300 (for 2) for 3 amazing zip lines, plus a GoPro. The tour guides, Anna and Sydney made it worth every penny! In addition to keeping our safety in mind during COVID, they were super informative about the hikes, surroundings, and zip lines. We had so much fun during our visit. (But maybe the van ride could use some karaoke)

What a fun time! We would definitely do this again and plan to take some friends here when they come to visit. Michelle and Alexis where excellent guides. They were knowledgable and made sure everyone was safe. They set a fun atmosphere for the day.

I'm an Asheville native, but never tire of seeing the mountains from new perspectives. Beautiful views while flying down a zipline is definitely one of the best! Our guides for the mountain top tour, Caitlin and Charlie, were excellent. They were friendly and knowledgeable and kept us safe!

What a great time! My friends and I went ziplining, and we had a wonderful experience. Our guides Jeff and Kevin were the perfect balance of conversational and professional. They were definitely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, which added a lot to our tour. I felt totally safe the entire time, so I was free to fully appreciate the spectacular view. I without a doubt recommend Navitat, and I will be back whenever I am in the Asheville area again!

First time zip-lining and we had an excellent experience! Our tour guides, Jesse and Bob, were fantastic. Exactly the correct mix of humor and professionalism. We felt safe and secure the entire trip. Jesse and Bob made it an experience to remember!

We booked the Treetop Tour, which was 2 hours and 6 zip-lines. Extremely fun! Planning on another trip next year, next time we ll do the full day Ultimate Adventure. We will be back!

A group of friends and I went on the Blue Ridge experience. We had an amazing time and our guides Katie and Jamie were amazing and made the experience unforgettable

Tre was an awesome guide and really took care of us on our tour. He is very experienced and has a great sense of humor to help calm anyone who may be nervous in your group. My daughter had a really fun 14th birthday zip lining - I definitely recommend!

We went to celebrate my husbands birthday, and we all had a great time. I highly recommend going... be sure to ask for Zoe as she was a tremendous help and made the experience amazing!!

Cannot imagine a better zip line experience. Setting is perfect, all the staff were terrific (office, drivers, guides) and the course layout was well done. Safety was well ensured and the staff did everything to make the experience easy and accessible for all participating. A first rate experience in every way.

Recently was here. The family had a great time doing the three big zips. Tour guides JC and Peter did a great job. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating was the death defying ride up the mountain. The drive did a great job, still breathing and here, but that ride has zero margins for error. Here is a thought.....

Ski lift that is used in the spring, summer and fall for taking up zip liners and in the winter for skiers.

Would also recommend that if you do a tour that starts before the lunch hour that you pack a snack because three hours is a long time :-)

Navitat was such a fun and adventurous experience. My family and I had a great experience ziplining through the woods of North Carolina. Devan and Kailyn were great tour guides, they made the experience more fun and entertaining. 100% recommend!

Jessy and jc were our tour guides for out adventure at navitat. Navitat proved to not only be worth every penny, but actively showed that the five star reviews are legitimate. My wife and I celebrated her birthday here and Jessy along with jc really did an amazing job making my wife's birthday a memorable day. There is a section where you have to rapell down from a ledge. Jessy deliberately got my wife stuck on the repel rope just for all of us in out group to sing happy birthday to her. And amazing time, beautiful scenery with kind, soft hearted people.

THANK YOU Navitat for a wonderful birthday celebration experience two years in a row! Navitat is not a typical zipline experience..we have done both tours now and would gladly do both again! Now that we have been their guests twice, we can say with out a doubt you get more than your money's worth of fun and adventure!You can easily spend the same amount at a restaurant, but this experience will last in your memory forever! We would recommend to anyone who loves nature and is looking for an activity that breaks away from the mundane! Our guides Derek and Charlie were very relaxed and professional, but also had plenty of interesting facts about the local plants, mountain ranges, a few good jokes, and history trivia to share! They helped some in our group who started out with nerves, and by the end everyone was confidently bragging about their FALCON POINTS! (Ask your guide about this little 'extra' element of fun!) Twelve out of ten, can't wait to go back!

Great experience! We did the MountainTop adventure. Jason drove us up to the starting point. Throughout the tour, our guides Megan & Antonio shared fun facts about the Blue Ridge Mountains, the trees, and the vegetation.
The zip lines had automated brakes, and the stopping was smooth. The views were trees & mountains, all impressive pretty much what you see in their video online. The only thing missing, as I compare this to my other zipline experience, was the opportunity for a great photo. I treasure the photo I have of my mom and me leaning off the platform, held up by rappelling ropes, in front of a waterfall, at Zipquest. There was no opportunity for a photo like that at Navitat. So although it was fun in the moment, I m actually fairly disappointed that Navitat has not put more thought into a great photo op, because that aspect of it would be priceless, and is a huge missed opportunity for them.

Spur of the moment dropped in and got 2 spots for the last tour of the day. Lucky me. No regrets! Highly recommend. Everyone who works there is really warm and knew the area well so they suggested different places to eat and hike and stay. I loved learning different facts about the mountains as we hiked to each zipline.

My Daughter and Husband went to Navitat and had the time of there lives! I did not go, but I heard a lot of amazing things from them! They said there was fantastic zips and awesome hikes also great views! My Daughter got stuck a few times but their amazing guides Lex and Dusty went out to save her! They had tuns of fun and want to go back, I recommend this place and all their amazing guides, my family had a wonderful expereince! Thank you for this opportunity!

We went to Navitat for a birthday surprise for my sister and a friend, Sarah, Karen and me, Brenda. We had a blast especially our tour guides were so nice and very informative, Zack and Michelle. I definitely recommend coming and have an experience of a life time.

I cannot imagine any better way to spend a glorious autumn afternoon, than on the Navitat Mountaintop zipline tour in Barnardsville North Carolina. If you are a resident or a visitor to Asheville, don t miss this experience. The entire experience is well organized, safety is a priority throughout, and guests of all ages are made to feel supported and secure while having so much fun! Michele in the office is most pleasant and helpful during booking and check-in experiences. The van ride up to the top of the mountain is an adventure all in itself. But a safe one! Once there, these three long zips provide unparalleled views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and if you ever want to feel like you re flying, this is as close as you ll get. All of the staff are well trained and personable. Dory is a very knowledgeable and delightful guide who took great care to make certain that all of us were both enjoying ourselves and having our needs met. We learned so much about the natural and cultural history of the area while hiking between the platforms. All in all, it was a fantastic day, and suitable for families, couples, or individuals. I look forward to visiting Navitat again!

I have ziplined many times and this is my favorite. Besides the thrilling long, fast ziplines, all zippers get an eco-education. Trust me, you will never look at a tree the same way again. Amazing things these trees are. Kevin and Luke were awesome. Funny and great teachers. We saw a black rat snake and a family of deer also. Would visit here again. Better than The Gorge. Great for first-timers and for veterans like me and my boys. 5 *****

Unbelievable experience! This was our first time ziplining, and we had a great time. It wasn't just fun, but the guides made it very interesting. They knew something about any plant you could point to. They also made us feel very comfortable and safe. I would definitely return to Navitat!

We had the experience of a lifetime today. Navitat is just a few miles from my home here in Barnardsville, NC. Having a friend visiting we took to the trees today, for our zip lining experience. If I were able to have given this a hundred stars I would have. Being up some 3600 feet up in the mountains and tree tops we made our way down the mountains on three separate zip lines. This was the most beautiful way to touch the sky.

Had an AMAZING time zipping through the trees with our guide, Dory. She was incredible from start to finish and made us feel really safe, all while keeping us entertained and educated while hiking from one zip to the next. A lot of laughs and a lot of screams stepping off the platform for the first time. Nothing beats cool mountain air and your heart pounding as you're hurled over the tops of the oldest mountains in the world. Can't wait to go back and fingers crossed we get Dory!

I ve zip lined several times before and had some incredible experiences in the past, but navitat is TOP NOTCH! Super knowledgeable, friendly, and professional staff, high quality and safe equipment, and overall just an incredibly enjoyable experience. I have a higher base level of knowledge of local landscapes and flora/fauna than the average Asheville tourist and I still learned a lot as our guide Allison took us on a tour through the trees and pointed out native plants and interesting historical information about the mountains around us. This is a totally unique and immersive experience. I ll be back!

This was a great experience. Ethan and Derrick were awesome guides. I felt safe and the view was amazing. I was orginally scared but by the end I was very relaxed and would definitely do it again.

First time zip-lining for my 11 year old son who has a fear of heights, so we decided to go big or go home! The staff was very professional and encouraging, not pressuring at all. They shared personal experiences and made him feel relaxed. My son conquered his fear and by the second zip (The Beast of the East) he was having a blast! It was a great father/son bonding experience and I highly recommend Navitat!

What an absolutely beautiful and incredible experience. It was my first time ziplining and I didn't want the day to end. Would absolutely do this again, and recommend to anyone. Whether you have done this before or this is your first time, the guides and staff will take great care of you.

Awesome experience! I normally don't like heights, but I felt very comfortable doing the Zip-Lines. The guides were experienced, I noticed they paid attention to every detail. We did the all day Ultimate Canopy tour, and I would do it again and recommend this to others, as well. Amazing zip line experience only 30 minutes north of Asheville! The staff was super experienced and made us feel safe and comfortable with the process. My daughter was just ten and they eased all her concerns. We had a blast! Kailyn and Megan were our guides and they were outstanding! We did the mountaintop tour which was 3 hours long with nature hikes between three long Ziplines - one is 3/4 of a mile long!!

Our guides Derek and Dory were knowledgeable, hilarious, and full of adventure. The zip lining was so fun and thrilling and beyond my imagination. But what I didn t expect was that the zip lining was only a portion of the fun I was going to have for the day. The information we learned about plant life, local history, and the gorgeous geography before us, plus the comedy field tour along the way, made the whole experience beyond our imagination. Would definitely recommend this to any one coming in the area. Definitely a great way to spend your morning. Seeing the beautiful mountains like I never have before was a great way to explore the Asheville area further.

BEWARE GREG!! Greg (tour guide) was absolutely terrible and didnt even know how to strap everyone in properly. We had to tell him how to hook us in and secure us.

But then Nicholas quickly stepped in and pushed Greg off the tree deck. He fell a good bit and we lost him as he rolled down the mountain. As we didnt like him very much we decided to give Nicholas a shot.

Nicholas was really informative, fun, and helped us learn and enjoy all of the nature around us. He made sure we were strapped in correctly with no time to waste. The mountain top ziplines had great views during the fall (pun intended) and we had a blast.

What a blast! Well worth the expense. Allee was a great tour guide and was equal parts chill, funny, energetic and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Had my first ziplining experience here over the weekend and really enjoyed it! Jesse and Anna M. were great guides and shared a lot of knowledge about the wild plant/animal life in the area. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun outdoor experience!

I love the place, it has a great view. It is easy to book a reservation and the staff is friendly, funny, attentive and have a lot of knowledge of the nature that surround Navitat. Also they make you feel safe and explain everything about the accessories for the zipline. Finally, Navitat has good deals for the zipline tour, photos and merchandise that they sell.

Half our famiky did rtv tour the other half did mountaintop zip course. Josh and Devan were awesome and the whole family had a good time.

One of the best adventure experiences I ve had in life!!!! Very safe and exhilarating! We had the best guide but I can t remember her name- she is a sculpture artist when she is not leading adventures in the sky.
