Terrible Doctor missed judge me with lot discriminations rejected me not to work as Truck Driver. That is very bad from is part perhaps looking for perfection for a perfect person. There is is no such of things haman perfection.

Now I figured out why I don't see any trucks on I80. Drove to Denver for a wage like McDonalds. Left the orientation by lunch. Seen 1 on I25. Coming back into Wyoming finally seen one pulled over by 2 Wyoming highway patrol. Driver's that go to work for this doesn't know how valuable. Bet the company goes out of business real soon. Little money never home travel lots of land. For no pay. And couldn't afford at least reimbursement for the travel up there. Seriously dodged a cheap company.
Visited as a rider for a week. The staff I met was friendly, nice office building, nice location. I was disappointed with the driver lounge. No coffee maker, kind of grungy. Posting a picture of going back in time. The only way to dry your hands in the ladies room in the driver lounge is a roll towel. I haven't seen those in over 30 years! There was no soap to wash your hands either.
If I could stress anything to you, don't use this company. Completely unprofessional, rude, and incompetent. If I save you from using this complany, I have saved you a huge deal... please stay awak
Incompetent dispatchers. Will screw up a load then blame you. 37CPM for reefer, DryVan carriers are paying 39CPM (Swift) Yes, SWIFT pays more than Navajo. Nah...I'm good.
Extremely dishonest broker, please do not do business with them as they advertised the load from one city and send a confirmation from a difference city 70 miles away. This broker tries to steal honest carries by lying about miles and underpaying for loads. Our original load (the one advertised and sold before getting the confirmation) was booked for 201 miles; after they send the confirmation from a different city 70 miles away, which puts the load now 70 more miles away from the delivery to a total of 341 miles (meaning this broker tried to steal from us 140 miles). Not a bad deal to do with one load. if they steal an average of 100 miles per load at an average rate of $ 2.00 it will be $ 200 per load, imagine how much money they make in several loads a day !!!!! Not a trusworthy broker. Save the time and find an honest broker that country for our hard work and the driver !!!
As a result, we have canceled the load and they decided to bring this issue up; so we decided to advise everyone about this dishonest broker !!!. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER !!
Applicant beware! Getting hired as a new driver here is a joke. Be aware that for the 2 weeks of training/orientation you will be paid 85 dollars a day, you'll be there for an 8 hour day, that's 10 dollars an hour, less than minimum wage. Then when you go out with a trainer on the road , you will drive your 11 hours and get paid 80 dollars a day for 4 weeks. That is 6 dollars and some change an hour. Also the worst benefits package I have ever seen. So if you dont have to pay rent, have any bill's, no car payment then this might work for you. To put it into perspective, System Transport pays 800 dollars a week for trading, AND pays up to 400 a month on top of that for tuition reimbursement. Crazy
I would give this company a 0 star of it was possible. I have a scuff mark on my bumper guard from truck number 3473. The diver said I thought I had enough room, there was other people trying to help me back in there should of stopped me. I called this company twice over it. The first call they hanged up on me the second try I was told it is not there department the given a number that is not in service. Your company has very lowclass employees
HORRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH , WAS WORKING WITH Sherrell Walker. We have been updating with emails and driver was on time to pick up and deliver and today I received a check with deduction . saying service failure when we where on time to pick up and delivery.. I will proceed with filing a report on there MC .. this is not how we do business.
Only posting 1 start because ZERO is not an option. ABSOLUTELY THE MOST CROOKED, LYING BROKER I have worked with in the past 20 years! LIED and tried to force us into a load after information changed and then posted a FALSE CLAIM against us on freightguard to attempt to keep other brokers from booking with us. What MCKENZIE posted was a lie however and I have all of the correspondence, emails with timestamps, and rate sheet as proof!
HOW ARE THEY IN BUSINESS STILL WITH SUCH POOR MANAGEMENT? Be advised if you do book a load with them, they will lie and after you can't commit because of their mistakes they will put a freightguard report like it's nothing. Seriously they have people doing basically that. Our company is going to press charges for defamation and ruining good company name and I suggest anyone in a similar situation (and judging by the comments a lot of people) to do the same. If you have read this and still have booked a load with them then you deserve whatever you have coming for you. Stay safe and happy trucking!
I am currently working on a load for them (CA to OR) and it is been a nightmare. Zachary and Avery are in charge of load and they do not pick up call nor reply emails. If you are a carrier, do not ever work with this people for your own good.
So everything that has been promised has came true. 1st 7 days out I was routed to the house to pick up some supplies. I have been treated with respect, honesty, and kindness. Being a company driver is a business just as much as a owner operator when it comes to loads. You must know how to pick your freight. No forced dispatch, plenty of miles. I hope that this was my final orientation. Update I have now been with the company for nearly 6 months. Yes Navajo does have some issues but name one trucking company that does not. Pros versus Cons in my opinion only. My wife got her CDL and now we both will drive for Navajo. It is not a bad company. There is always an open door policy and you do not talk to your DM or Management through plexiglass it is face to face without using phones like your in prison. Yes I have had to do that with some of my past employer. It does have ups and down but most of all I see this with a good attitude and patience on everyone's part. If you come here with an open mind and positive attitude you will be fine. Miles are good, home time is scheduled and also good and as far as money goes I cannot complain cause it is also good
Pro
Monthly driver phone call where upper management listens and hears suggestions and complaints Quality home time you must schedule it remember we drive trucks for a living not work in factories I still feel like I am part of something bigger than myself( if you have a ego that it is only about you, you will not last long) yes they know my name or my voice even though I do give my truck number it is only because their fleet is over 900 trucks Most of all steady freight which results in consistent pay ALL DISPATCHERS AND PERSONNEL ARE FRIENDLY ( my dispatcher and I may not agree always but at the end of the day we are still friends and coworkers
Cons
Communication is lacking but we are working on it as drivers and coworkers some is due to covid 19 Do not leave a voicemail and expect a return phone call Bluetree A lot of back hauls do go back to Denver but what do you expect it is a Denver based company There is really nothing bad to say about the company for those who said they got lied to my question is this did you try to contact someone about the misguided information that is being addressed? Is my job perfect NO but I am not perfect either it is a family atmosphere and sometimes just like in families we don't always agree but at the end of the day they have your back as well. Do I receive top pay NO I am at the bottom of the barrel, can I go somewhere else for may pay yes will I get treated better or worse? I don't know Navajo is not for everyone and everyone is not cut out to drive for Navajo
I am here at Navaho Express to complete my orientarion and training so I can start to drive big rigs. I completed my CDL schooling at Excel Driver Services, passed my CDL class A. I dont have any verifiable experience but I've always been able to drive pretty much any vehicle automatic or manual. I was having a rough time finding a driving job that didn't have me out for weeks at a time as I have 3 pets at home to take care of. My school recommended Navaho Express and I got the job! Just getting through orientation and training and in about 5 or 6 weeks I will be in my own truck drivong from Denver to Salt Lake City and home every other day. I really looking forward to this.
UPDATE 10/20/20 I got my truck after completeing my final evaluation!!! And now 2 weeks has flown by. Ive ran about 10 loads to Salt Lake City and back to Denver on my dedicated Costco run. It's been good so far but trying to figure out this paperwork is very frustrating as it seems that I was just tossed into the fire to figure it out. Most of the Costco drivers I have met are very friendly and willing to help. My dispatcher Megan is very helpful too but maybe the company should encompass more paperwork training before throwing drivers into the fire. I was with my trainer who did not do Costco runs so the paperwork was pretty different. Seems that drivers are doing things differently as you basically learn as you go. Ive talked to several drivers asking questions how to fill out the paperwork and I seem to get a different version how to do the paperwork. Pretty frustrating IMO. I think I am starting to figure out this paperwork after racking my brain and not sure who to talk to about this stuff. Management seems too busy or aggravated to help. They also need a better emoyee parking lot as there is no light or security camerass to keep an eye on our vehicles. Last month there was a drivers appreciation week where they supplied food for their employees. Why dont they fix the employee parking lot with some better lights and some security if you really want to appreciate their employees?
To matthew: do your math. It's 9 cpm difference not 10. You would of had more a mile but your record isn't clean! Speeding incident in April! It's ok you're not a runner and clearly don't wanna make money. Yes company has a 90 day policy before leasing you their trucks. Reason for that cause people are flakes and untrustworthy. Keep making your 600-700 checks a week. You will save money in 20years for your own truck
First of all I would like to say my husband works for this company and he thought it was a good caring company. But after Sunday me and him do not think so any more. My husband was in an accident in wy where he flipped his truck do to.the winds. It was not his fault. I would like to.say how every one handled this situation is unacceptable. First of all he is at a hotel lobby right now waiting on a ride to either get back home or get another truck. Instead of the company calling him to give him updates he has to call and bug them nobody in this company cared about him or his health and well being. Nobody called to see if he needed anything his truck with all of his belongings are 44 miles away from him so he can not access anything. Nobody offered anything. I recommend do not work for this company.cause.they do.not care about there drivers at all.
Nice yard too work out off nice friendly people I definitely like my driver leader just would me nice if they gave us bigger heavyer trucks with more space in them
Edmund Giasson is the reason brokers have a bad name. We booked a load that one carrier fell off of already. Had to give it back to mechanical errors and advised within 10 min..he wants to report our company on a Carrier 411. Terrible Brokers
Hire better truck drivers. Truck #1215 in Colorado heading to Thornton needs to be taken off payroll ASAP... for not following safety protocols.. was driving like a maniac trying to pull cars over and flipping everyone off for some reason. Road rage at it s finest.
am nt sure why drivers are rating this company with high stars. i been with this company for going on 1 month and am thinking of moving on. jus another company thats adds another job to employment record. the problem over here is there no communication whatsoever between driver and people in office. they never answer phones nor do they care about ur miles, and only respond to blue tree messages when they feel like it. like i say nt good company to work for if u wanna have money in ur pocket and pay ur bills. you can come over here if u want and i guarantee u find urself looking for employment in 2 to 3 weeks
After delivering load on time and reporting Lumper Fee for which one we paid because they charge $10 fee if using their comcheck they denied paying us $239.00 for same lumper fee stating that we never reported it. Guys watch out- this company is set for ripping off others
Bad customer service. I was hit by a Navajo driver while I was parked and asleep at the TA Truckstop in Binghamton, PA and after being on the phone with their driver accident line for about an hour giving them all the information about myself and what happened. This took place on Saturday night and when I tried to talk to Navajo on Monday they passed me from a number to another for 2 hours with no result. In other words they protect their unsafe and dangerous drivers and the motto about the safety from their answering machine is a bad joke.Watch out and stay away from any Navajo transportation people especially drivers.
I work there three weeks and I was on a flight back home we couldn't come to a agreement on how much they should pay me, but overall they are good people
Will book a load with you, make you get set up and then tell you someone else covered it when you call them an hour later for the rate con. Very informal, they dont answer calls and honestly can imagine running one of their loads is a nightmare. Hate brokerages like this. The broker I worked with was Sherrell Walker
Nice terminal that cares about the trucks. Some drivers are just discussing leaving trash cigarette butts all over always rely on cleaning crew to pick up after themselves. We are all adults n should be a little bit more neater n care where u work after all who's paying your way.
This was a horrible company to drive for. Basically just like all the other companies. They expect you to drive over your hours. They do not reschedule loads after giving you one that s already 24 hours old and has no chance of being on time. You tell them in a professional way what is going on and they blow you off but when the load don t get there on time they are screaming at you. If your truck has a issue like your heat or air conditioning they will do everything they can to not fix it. They don t care at all about the drivers. They would get me home 8 days late. The dispatchers are extremely unorganized and vile and rude. Mine would call me everyday and scream and be very vulgar at me. I would run 500 miles a day and there would be no parking and it still was not good enough. It s a lot of the dispatchers. Not just one. Very very condescending and no manners. One thing I did like is they run the West Coast a lot. But no breakdown pay if u breakdown or any detention pay. I literally stayed in a homicidal rage every second of the day because of how toxic this company was. My physical health started to suffer because I was so full of their negative deceitful vibe. I would recommend staying away from these guys. They don t care about your license or sanity. I picked up a load in Salt Lake City and was told to take it to Los Angeles and that I could take my break at their dropyard in LA. So II get to the dropyard and the security guard throws me off the property. This was at around 9 at night. So I go to Ontario and there was of course no parking. I drove over my time an hour because absolutely nowhere to park. Well Monday morning they call me up screaming at me and wrote me up. I did what I was told. I went to THEIR dropyard and was told there was no parking there. So I even talked to Jeff Osborn and he literally told me it s my fault. Really? Yes stay away from Navajo
Do a loaf for them right now. Appointment was scheduled for 10AM (so told by the broker) but once arrived I was told to come back at 3PM as the appointment is set for 3PM. It looks like I ll experience the same as Armin Puskar. Now I m loosing my other load and the entire week is f....up because of some unserious broker. This is very unprofessional! If you do loads for Navajo than charge upfront for their loads otherwise you loose money and time.
The whole staff is friendly and professional - and they take safety and driver training very seriously! So thankful this trucking company is helping to keep our economy going - and food in the grocery stores!
Don Digby, Sr. should be appalled by his son Don Digby, Jr. Junior has the morals of a rat. He is the most self serving, greedy, egotistical human being with absolutely NO regard or appreciation for any of the employees that keep Navajo afloat. Junior is going to run the transportation company that his father built into the ground. The reputation of Navajo is already a disgrace. Shame on you Don Digby, Jr.
Canceling loads regularly without solid explanation. Rude and unintelligent brokers. Also once when we(Carrier) canceled load on them just 20 min. after booking the load when we found out that our driver are out of time on ELD they tried to put a report on us.
I've seen your truck's in Philadelphia, PA area nice. My graduation is near, All-State Career School, for CDL Class A Professional Driver Training. Thank you
I had applied to this company and they called me for an interview. I sat down with two gentlemen for about an hour and asked if I could return the next day and do another interview and so I did. I believed it went well an after 2 days the gentleman called me and said they are going to hire within the company for the dispatch postion, needless to say yes I was disappointed but than 2 days later they posted the same position I applied for on Indeed and craigslist, talk about being lied to. Than after all that he said if it didnt work out he would call well never did. I guess it shows that liars in a company make for a bad company.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS . MATTHEW YASOVSKY AND BRANDON ARE LIERS and DISHONEST PEOPLE. I CONTACTED MATTHEW TO SPEAK TO HIM AND HE ENDS UP HANGING UP THE PHONE AND TELLS ME BRANDON IS OUT OF TOWN FOR 2 WEEKS . STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COST THIS IS A DISHONEST BUSINESS THAT REVOLVES AROUND HURTING OTHER BUSINESSES . FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME TO EXPLAIN FURTHER WHATS GOING ON WITH THEM BUT BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
Warning warning warning I used to be a Navajo driver from August 15th of 2007 to February 5th of 2020 I have been thinking long and hard about this for the last 7 a half months what I should doI figure I figure I warning other people of what this company will do to you and they will lie to you in a heartbeat I had an accident and Don digby Jr promised me that they wouldn't fire me or charge me for it got back to Denver after driving the truck back from Erie Pennsylvania and they fired me and they charged me for the accident they broke two promises right there The one thing else is if you're looking for a long-term employment I would not recommend it going to this company because one thing I've noticed over the 12 and 1/2 years is Don digby Jr will randomly just start firing people how many times I've walked into that office where half the staff is gone or 3/4 of the staff gone if you're lucky you might see 5 to 10% old timers there That's itso unless you're really desperate for a job I would not work this companyThe owner Don digby Jr is a lie sack of BS basically what this comes down to is when they want to get rid of you the chuck you out like a bad piece of meat and they don't care about it
It seems the only ppl who want to come to "review" this company are disgruntled employees so i guess i should step up and say something here as a real employee... I love my job. Im treated with respect that u just dont find in this industry anymore (someone needs to give kristie a raise because i know im alot to deal with and she does a great job) i have been running my ass off and making good money doing it... Does anyone know of a company that cares so much about ur paycheck that they will preauthorize u to turn ur paperwork in a day late so that u dont end up with a short check after a long run? No u dont instead u get the "ya that sucks but it happens get over it" not here i didnt even have to call my dm she just fixed it... I love it here and i think i found a company to retire with
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. Very erratic drivers. Almost ran us off the road. Had to stop suddenly because truck pulled right in front of us switching lanes without looking. Then truck kept running of the side of the road. I tried to call the company to report truck 155419 but was on hold for 20 minutes. Must be way of dealing with problems. Keep you on hold until you hang up.
They throw you away after being loyal for a mistake by an officer that will be dropped. No tickets in your life no violations no writes up? Don t matter, the safety guy roger just lets you go and the ticket is being disputed with proof, oh, add your mom dies a week prior, don t matter to them. See ya they say. Don t expect loyalty here guys.
the rep was Othello [Cris]. i didn't think a brother would lie to his own about working there. i invested time & $, persuaded it was a good company. prior to that, i sensed they were unresponsive as i left a few messages to be contacted, & was told i'd get a follow up on why no one contacted me prior. the process is a joke; they act dumb. this will be posted in truckers report
I booked a load with Edmund Giasson with deliveries "supposedly" scheduled for Sunday and Monday I even called day before that to confirm deliveries and was assured they were good , driver arrived at delivery and warehouse was closed not response from broker or after hours, Monday it was easy for them to say appointments were moved by customer which was a lie as warehouse told us appointment was scheduled for Tuesday since the beginning and they are closed Sunday ....now we are stuck with a load until Wednesday and all they want to pay is their "standard layover fee" not taking into consideration driver and fuel being wasted by sitting in Dallas for 3 days with reefer unit running and truck running as is 100 degrees in TX very inconsiderate on their end to give me a load and lie about appointment times, they lie and very inconsiderate
I would advise for any transgender people to stay away from this company. Since transgender mtf go through so much the company doesn't really care it's all your fault and if you did try with the company you won't last long.
This company should be ashamed. They are very unprofessional. Poor communication, and no respect for drivers delivering their loads. Please do not book a load with this company because they will leave you high and dry!!
Too early for an opinion, I get to know the company, train, maybe in half a year I will say something specific. Now it's ok.
5 months and 70,000 miles later. I ride a team on dedicated routes and it's okay, sometimes we go somewhere else for a change and it's even better. I have over 20 years of experience in logistics and I can honestly say how I work at Navajo. Salary for work is approx. My Kenworth T 680 is not as comfortable as my Volvo in Europe but it is functional and safe! There are no problems with repairing and servicing the truck, and this is very important to me. I prefer the money Navajo pays me than more in another company that does not care about its trucks. Contact with my D Leaders is good, in case of doubt they will always explain how to proceed. They are consistent and friendly and I like working with such people. In the work of the driver, it is important to understand that it is necessary to arrive on time and safely from point A to point B. Do not deal with everything around and comment on someone's mistakes. In my country we say: "everything is good where we are not." I recommend this company because it is simply reliable and honest.
I was at navajo for over 2years great company owners are good people and my equipment was top of the line if yall had trouble with distpatch you could have taken it to mr. Digby other than that its like any othr job as long ad you do your job to the best of your agility that's it some can some can't navajo needs those drivers willing to go beyond the job a lot of drivers are understanding that we make a lot of money all the time and yes if your out here you will but theres a catch 22 you can't go home all the time until you learn to balance your job your family and your finances it won't work you'll get frustrated and mad at your company be a public servants be a store clerk do a normal everyday job if you want to be home all the time there you have it welcome to trucking it ain't always pretty but its trucking love it or hate it its the job you thought would be so cool there you go handle it or go home as a company navajo is one of the best 5star ratings
M.Moss and Brandon the Boss in Florida book loads with carriers this particular load 2431987 with EMA Trucking LLC. Load was Booked on Wednesday in Colorado for 1500 at 450 miles, it took about 5 different phone calls and 1/2 hr of phone conversation with me and his Boss Brandon for Mackenzie to get my rate to approve. When we were dispatched they send a txt mess that load was canceled, immediately I called and spoke with McKenzie Moss told him that we had a trailer it was already loaded he didn t believe me and asked me for the bill of lading and the trailer picture which we provided. Unfortunately didn t help he got arrogant with me threatened to report a company as Stealing the freight or holding the load hostage. I advised him that he was crazy and that was not a good way to go about it nobody stealing anything we have a rate confirmation and we stayed inside Of terms of the agreement. Still he told us to send a load back I didn t like that but we did anyway I told him that I believe that he s double booking I believe that he paid us whatever we want it just to make sure he has a truck for Amazon load and then you try to find a cheaper solution what you did. He said no no no that s not the case we just don t have a load anymore. On August 29 in the morning I didn t have a truck order not used for talked to Brandon the boss eloquently without kind of thinking he slipped up and said the load was delivered by a different party. When I questioned his response he started stuttering that time I was sure that My suspicion was right. Unfortunately there s a lot of shady carriers in this business just like this one be aware of their business practice.
I see nothing has changed since I worked there I m 1995, I was otr, and they only cared about being on time regardless, a solo driver was conditioned to out drive the best teams in any company, Atlanta, ga to red bluff California in 2 days. Never cared about home time, or hours of service..as for don jr and his morals? He never had any, in some ways? Neither did don sr. The only department that cared about drivers was safety. You ll never get paid all of what you ve earned, your DAC/hireright will be in shambles once you leave. You ll never get over 3 hours of sleep every 24 hours. Dedicated drivers have it easier because they don t deal with everyday dispatch... Navajo express is great if you want to learn how to drive super long distance in a super short amount of time, and turn around and do it again 6 hours later.... but this is not a caring company, or a driver friendly company...
No appreciation for drivers. Not organized what so ever. Was employeed had circumstances which caused me to have to quit. Called me after I left they are charging me for bringing my truck back without permission. I drove3 states to return their truck to the yard, they are charging me $1.35 per mile. 600 miles. I would have been better off to have abandoned the truck!!
Book loads and continue looking for cheaper rates from other carriers. Expect carriers to hold their trucks while they are hunting. Referring to Mr. McKenzie @ Navajo
My husband drives for them, they pay ok not great but ok. People there are nice and awesome. I ride on the truck with my husband and I have yet to meet a disgruntled person. Some drivers have been with the company 15, 20, or 30 years.
Navajo express is one of the greatest jobs I've ever had. I was kinda skeptical working for a big company but I tell you whaaaat. I look forward everyday todo my job its exciting and relaxing doing the rocky mountain doubles for the Costco dedicated route. Not to mention the pay is outstanding.. The salt lake dispatchers are all awesome people. And as for the president of the company Don Digby jr his a great guy who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. But hey everybody has there own opinions I just wanted to share my experience with the company..
I just started work ...so far its an awesome company to driver for. Hopefully i can build a good part of my career here. Thanks Navajo Express for the opportunity.
