Beautiful park with great sceneries, waterfalls, and rivers. Very relaxing drive and hikes in the park.
Beautiful park with great sceneries, waterfalls, and rivers. Very relaxing drive and hikes in the park.
Beautiful park with a variety of hiking trails at different difficulties and distances. Shuttles are a must!
The variety of trails and sites means you can be as adventurous or as easy going as you want. We took the trail to Vernal falls which was roaring and a little scary. Even if the waterfall is more calm, the steps are a bit narrow, but the top view is completely worth it. My kids, 5 and up, were still able to power through and make it just fine though.
Definitely one of my top favorite national parks. It is like getting teleported to a new world, I wish I could have spent more time here, but that also means I get to prepare more fun for the next visit.
This park is Gorgeous. You should visit the tunnel view scenic spot
This is the one thing to see in California. This original National park is why we must preserve our lands. Yes, it can get crowded in the summer so be respectful, keep the park clean and utilize the park transit system or walk to cut down on smog pls
Very beautiful waterfalls love the walks and how you can feels the water falling on you.
Just love it worth the drive from Los angeles.
First Majestic view of the Yosemite Valley as you approach from the west
This place is absolutely stunning. The views from glacier point will literally make your brain go, "wait this can't be real, surely we are not this height up!" The trails are amazing and pretty secluded, so you don't feel like you are walking up a trail in a crowd of tourists. Depending on when you go, you may get to experience the waterfall views, but either way, our trip was awesome!
Bsautiful scenery, come early and park in one place and take the bus around the park.STOP!HONK THE HORN IN YOUR CAR WHEN GOING THROUGH THE TUNNEL!
The natural beauty is absolutely stunning and breathtaking.
Beautiful place. We had a wonderful winter experience with our four boys aged 10 through 5.
Beautifully park but very big so plan what you want to see early as the all the trails are about 2 and more houses. Minimum stay 2 days it's a lot to see and big distance between them
It's one of the best State park of the world. There are lots of scenic points .The main attraction is the half dome which can be viewed from various points in the park. You will get lots of photo opportunities. Must visit points are Yosemite Falls , Vernal Falls , Nevada Falls and glacier point. The vernal & Neveda Falls are after 5-6 miles of trail but it's worth the effort. The park has Free shuttle service to take you close to almost all the points. Do prefer shuttle if you are coming on weekends.
So beautiful! Visited as a Canadian tourist and was astounded at the views of the mountains and pine trees. We stayed in the cabin tents which was actually quite nice, ans the showers and bathrooms by the campgrounds were kept clean. Would absolutely love to come back!
This place is unreal!! Looks like a painting! Totally worth the drive and waiting in line.
Beautiful greenery all around. Big trees. Find the place near river for barbecue while driving to fish camp.
Amazing scenery, as you can expect of a national park! Just a warning that it takes about 2 hours to drive from the outskirts of the park on the West to the more touristy area, like the welcome center. I'd also recommend that you check out Stanislaus National Forest.
I went here using a guided tour for a one day trip since this place is quite far from the city (SF). This national park is so huge and breathtaking. A day is definitely not enough to explore the whole area, while every corner in this park is beautiful and worth exploring.
Next time, I'd definitely going to stay at least a night and just enjoy the serenity in this place.
Awesome park. We just stayed there for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. So much to discover.
Due to Coronavirus right now you need a one day entry pass what is valid for 7 days then. You need to buy it way in advance. We were lucky and someone jumped off 2 days before we wanted to go.
Even in the summer with barely any waterfalls it is beautiful. I didn't see a bear but dears and squirrels and raccoons. Due to Coronavirus also less people there so your pictures are great and not with strangers
Absolutely gorgeous park. So many different hikes to go on. Naturally, the park gets quite busy in the summer, so arrive early if you can !
Loved my trip to Yosemite. The park is HUGE and gets crowded late morning so go early! Plan out your route beforehand because the park is HUGE (again) and I didn't get any cell service to access maps in the park. I had a great time hiking though and beautiful park!
One of the natural wonders of the world. A must see.
Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra.
First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
From San Francisco Bay Area, we headed out east and joined HWY 120 all the way to the park. Closer to the park after you drive by a lake you will begin to see the road winding and going up in elevation. Depending on time of year, HWY 120 along Tioga Road goes up to a little over 6300 ft high and so at this high point on the road and nearby you will see a lot of snow. Always check online for road information before you head out in case snow closed parts of HWY 120. The park as I saw it had a number of steep or almost vertical rock solid mountains, the rivers look very clean and clear. Visitor center are helpful, though the walking distance from the nearest parking lot to the visitor center location was far too long a walk. My experience there was interesting, water falls look nice.
It s a great place to go and see the beautiful nature and appreciate it. It s a very peaceful place to go to and relax.
Love it! I drove there to eat chips,I was in a manic state but I'm ok now
Wow. What can be said. The lord made on of the most beautiful places on earth. I am humbled every time I visit. Git to see the fire falls for the first time ans what a show.
Best place to go relax !! Yet to do the clouds rest hike!!
AMAZING & majestic scenery! Great hikes and things to do for all nature lovers
Stunning, breathtaking, peaceful. Stop reading this and go make a reservation! A must see national park.
Yosemite National Park is in California s Sierra Nevada mountains. It s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village are shops, restaurants, lodging, the Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams Gallery, with prints of the photographer s renowned black-and-white landscapes of the area.
I wouldn't recommend coming on Labor Day weekend unless you have to. The crowds are intense. However the hike to Dewey Point wasn't too crowded. Crocker Point is the hidden gem of the park. We found solitude for over an hour there on the busiest weekend of the year. The overlook was breathtaking. I would love to return in the spring.
Majestic, beautiful, amazing. These words don't even come close to describing the valley. See it, explore it, and enjoy it while leaving it just as you found it.
Well worth the drive and cost to get in! Amazing sights and hikes! Many wildlife encounters on the drive in
Words can simply not express the pure awe and majesty of this place. Even pictures are a crude representation of the real thing, like a cavemans stick figure drawings of the hunt. It's something that has to be witnessed in person, seen through the lens of the human experience, coloured by emotion, painted with inspiration and seen as only you can see it.
I have visited numerous times. Beautiful. Inspiring. A reminder to unplug, put the phone down and rediscover your place in the universe.
This is a national treasure! The Half Dome, Bridal Vale Falls and the valley are all breathtaking! Look up the meaning of "Yosemite", you will be surprised!
It was a rocky and bumpy ride to get into the park. I am glad we did a day tour there ( viator ). I regret not staying a night but I went during a time when there was the wildfire in the southern part of the valley. The price to stay at the lodge hotel, or a tent unit at the camp grounds was over 150
Be sure to tell them if your military with ID because we had no idea! Thank you gabriel for noticing our ID in the wallet so we could get a 1 yrs pass!
You must camp here to see everything, too bad the half doom now requires a permit to hike up. Don't miss the falls and other trails at the park. 7 days recommended.
One of my all time favorite national parks. Has the right hikes, and the right things to do and see.
Most beautiful place I've seen up to this point in my life! Gets pretty crowded in the peak season.
I went here about 4 years ago, and I forgot to leave a review! This is a beautiful park that you are able to camp at, hike, relax, eat, and enjoy all the wonderful things in nature. I loved it.It's really big, and nice. You can see the sky, animals, trees, and everything! This place is worth it. I live 5 hours away, but I will drive over there any day to have a good time.
Wow, the trees here are such giants. The hikes are amazing. The fishing is spot on.
It was Park. And I absolutely must visit. busy in the summer season so must Park as soon as possible in the morning and then you shuttle to get around.
Wow, just wow. Absolutely breathtaking. El Capitan is such a beautiful and jaw-dropping wall. I don't think I had ever legitimately gasped at something so beautiful before. But what can I say, Yosemite literally took my breath away.
We really enjoyed the hike at this park. The views are magnificent and very peaceful. There were so many signs around the park which warned people to be aware of bears but we never saw them.
Love this place .I can stay here a weeks if I could .Breath taking views.my advise is to go to glacier point view. Then go down to the Yosemite valley.
Must see. Plan your trip well ahead. It takes a while to get there.
This is a must visit when in area, and/or to go just for the park. Plenty of great sites to see. I would recommend taking the guide tour currently for $36.
This place is so magical. It is no wonder John Muir said "By far the greatest of all the special temples of nature I was ever permitted to enter". You will feel the same way when your there. If you can feel that in Yosemite valley go back to the city there will be nothing in this natrual world that will amaze you.
This was the most beautiful place in nature that I have visited. The weather was great when we were there in early July 2018. It did get warm but being from Texas it was still nice!
Unbelievable! Can't say enough about how much I loved this place. It truly makes you feel like you are one with nature. I'm not a outdoorsy person but this trip changed that
Entering from Tioga Pass there is miles of scenic stops, a visitors center, walking trails and places to put your toes into icy creeks or little lakes. There is an entry fee per car to be admitted. If you have an annual national park permit it is free admission.
Serene place to spend some time with the nature. Was there for two nights and would definitely visit again. Many hike options available. Be sure to check the weather before heading here
Despite, Corona, I had so much fun hiking with my family, and overall, one of the best family vacations I've had
super love this place. the drive was long but oh so worth it.
This is just heaven. Be aware with seasonal closures, some roads and spots may not be available to reach. However, Yosemite has its own pure beauty every season. Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls, Tunnel view, Mirror Lake and valley level must see spots. Don t forget to take water and some snack while you re hiking. Also be ready to see awareness signs for bears in every corner :)
BeauTIful! Grand! Crowded Try go on weekdays. The management fires, unfortunately, create much smoke on days that make your photos less than clear.
This is by far the most beautiful, amazing, gorgeous place I have ever seen! Unspoiled by tourists even though millions have visited. The national parks and wildlife have taken excellent care to preserve this place.
Absolutely great time at the park, fantastic weather and challenging trails. My knees are not big fan of mine, but the rest of me is very happy
Most beautiful scenery ever. Great exercise place for a full body work but mainly cardio. Family fun place. Everyone welcome.
Amazing national park, with so much to cover through scenic rides and adventurous hikes. Strongly recommend for those who love the outdoors
If all you do is see what the valley looks like from Glacier Point and Washburn Point then you will be astounded. I highly recommend that you travel the Tioga Pass road and if you are so inclined arrange to back pack into some of the most incredible wilderness on the planet!
Visiting Yosemite in mid Sept. was perfect - there were plenty of people there, but it wasn't mobbed and we didn't wait long for things like a food order at Degnan's or the restrooms. We were able to find very close parking, tables to sit at to eat, etc...
The fee to enter was $35. Your receipt is good for 7 days.
Yosemite is gorgeous & more dramatic than we expected. The scale is astonishing.
The drive up is not for the faint-of-heart. Portions are steep & winding with no guardrails. Coming down is much better than going up.
We did a 1 day trip to Yosemite Valley. We stayed in Sonora. Next time, we'll add taking the shuttle to furter out sights. Instead, we opted to stay in the valley. We found our way to the river, which was running placidly & was a lovely place to sit & contemplate the enormity surrounded by monolithic stone cliffs. We watched climbers on El Capitan with binoculars.
As a Canadian I can honestly say I hope you enjoy the beauty god has placed on your doorstep. Worth a drive no matter who you are. Stand under the waterfalls or just take in the complexity and scale of nature.
A great place to get away from stress. Regular sedentary people will find it as enjoyable as the hiking athletes. Beautiful waterfalls that are a spectacular site to see. They are exhilarating. Greenery throughout the meadows. There were a few deer grazing in the morning dew. A lone huge wolf was trotting down the road. The creeks was babbling with glistening water. It was a beautiful day.
Majestic and awe-inspiring. It's so profound that it will change your life.
Great family trip. Even more beautiful than I remember as a child. Start your day early, park gets crowded by mid day.
The most scenic and beautiful place in California. Few places come as close to this place when it comes to pure aesthetic awe.
Breathtaking! Go on a weekday and in the spring or fall if you can though, you can end up in a traffic jam inside the park otherwise.
It would be a neat idea if they encouraged cars to park near the entrance and had the shuttle grab them, to reduce smog inside the park.
Inside they have stores, bathrooms and everything you need to stay comfortably. Such a variety of scenery it's amazing!
Im amazed at the beauty here in Yosemite Everytime i go visit!
Wow, we drove down from Tahoe since the roads were open and we usually don't get the chance. We wanted to see the Sequoia grove at Mariposa Grove, they are magnificent. Took us 5.5hrs from South Lake Tahoe on windie back roads. You either have to hike on trail or you can walk up the road either way 2miles to the grove in winter. Had the park to ourselves most of the time. Caught the sunset at Tunnel View.
A beautiful place the pictures don t do it justice.
Been here several times. There are several hikes of varying difficulty. It is not always possible to avoid the crowd given its proximity to the bay area.go there during the weekday if possible. Place is magical in winter.
Beautiful and massive park. Many trails to do. If you don't wanna hike you can walk around the valley it's gorgeous. Wildlife everywhere but don't feed or touch them they could have diseases.
Yosemite is the most beautiful and breathtaking destination I have had the opportunity to visit.
It's waterfalls and hiking trails bring so much peace and relaxation to my body.
I go here often because it helps me disengage from my normal city life.
If you like getting away from it all and immersing yourself in Nature, then Yosemite is a definite must-go. I went for my very first time after the Ferguson fire of 2018 to find one Yosemite Valley very much intact and very much magical. Granted, I have a major reverence and love for being outside, but this place would appeal to anyone to loves to take it all in. There is hiking, climbing, bike riding that you can do. My wife and I opted for riding around the valley, and I could ve fallen off my bike if my jaw dropped any further from the sights I was seeing - from the numerous pine and sequoias all around, to the many mountains around... El Capitan, Half Dome, etc. Even in early September on a Labor Day weekend the bugs were at bay and the air was fresh. We stayed just outside of Yosemite Village, which offers a collection of shopping, eating and culture, with a museum and theater. The park is well taken care of by the NPS and the rangers are pretty friendly. It would definitely be a great destination for both couples and families alike. At the time we went, only Bridal Veil waterfall was flowing. Otherwise this is a wonderous place, of which I plan on incorporating into my getaway places again and again in this life.
For new visitors (especially from SoCal), I recommend going up 140 vs the 41 as it is much less windy of a road. Drive time is not too much different, but in case you get carsick on windy roads, it can make a difference. If you haven t in awhile, opt outside and get after it. :-)
Beautiful place to explore and experience the wonderful nature. Need to spend min 1 week to get the taste of what has to offer there. If you don't have time, just plan properly to visit popular spots.
Wonderful spectacle. Go to Glacier Point it's awesome.
Two days is not long enough to visit Yosemite! But this was a STUNNING visual experience. Bridal Veil Falls is an easy hike in and out. Lower Yosemite Falls is another easy hike, but the Upper falls is highly strenuous. Take the shuttles everywhere-- trying to take your own vehicle everywhere will end up taking you longer. It is a busy park essentially everywhere, unless you are in the park FIRST thing in the morning. Still, don't expect your own private getaway unless you go off the beaten path, at your own risk.
Definitely worth the visit and good hiking trails. Plan on doing a lot of driving and if you are planning an affordable overnight stay you will have to to sleep in your vehicle. Haha! Would recommend booking hotel in advance and plan on driving 30+ miles for affordable lodging. Had two cell phone carriers and very minimal coverage throughout the park. Hiked up sentinel dome which had great views of El Capitan and half dome - moderately challenging hike. I rated this park a 4 because Zion was more spectacular
