This park is a real gem, they are kilometers and kilometers of beautiful redwoods, which in addition to being tall, are almost as old as the history of contemporary man. I recommend you walk from the Museum to the General and return in the truck.

Despite construction all around the park and having to exit from a different place we entered, our visit was breathtakingly beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My boyfriend got out many times for photo ops, my kids were in awe of the natural beauty and I just felt at peace here. Park rangers are welcoming and you can tell they really love their job!

If you like hiking, it's great. You'll enjoy going off road and discovering trees you can walk into and caves and waterfalls to climb up and down.

If you're not a hiker and just want to take a drive, it's beautiful but you may get bored.

It's a 2 hr drive without stops; it took us 6 hours and from the south entrance to the north with stops. It can get cold and the roads are steep and curvy so be prepared.

We went and saw fog, rain, snow and sun so weather really is unpredictable but it's gorgeous all the way around. Your pictures will come out gorgeous. We were lucky to see wild turkeys and deer too.

I absolutely loved it!!! I really recommend going to Sequoia summer time when it's not that cold, you can take a day trip but I recommend spending at least 2 days so you can explore more.
P.S. you may see a bear walking around

Absolutely amazing! The Generals highway into the park was a beautiful and winding road with beautiful overlooks. Make sure to take some of the stop-offs before getting to General Sherman, and you can get off the beaten path and away from some of the tourists too!

The real jewel of the Sierra Nevada is in these two parks. There is so much to see and do. Hiking, running, nature walks, climbing, biking, touring, camping, back packing, etc. the sheer size of the area is impressive. If you go deep enough into the back woods you can avoid the rv and day camper folk and the bears that live off of their carelessly misplaced food.

Beautiful and unique ecosystem of giant sequoias and forestland. So much to see and do. Hiking here is fantastic and has its own charm compared to it's neighbor, Yosemite. Come and visit the oldest known sequoia trees in the world.

Amazing place to visit I went two days ago and you do need chains; however, most of the road at lower elevations are already dry, but BECAREFUL for wet spots because there can be black ice lingering around, once you near the top and start reaching moro rock chains will be necessary, and I recommend trying them on before you reach the top, chains can be rented or bought in nearby towns before entering the park.

Beautiful park! It is a beautiful forest environment. The forest of the giants feels amazing to walk or drive through. There are also a lot of waterfalls, creeks and rivers with crystal clear water. The flora is diverse, we saw many different wildflowers and berries.
Most hikes are fairly easy and straight forward.
Sequoia is for sure more crowded than King's Canyon, although both are very beautiful!

This is my get a way spot. Great views everywhere you look. There are so many trails for you to get lost in. Plus it makes a great trip when you come across bears or wild life just roaming around. I'd recommend this park to all ages.

Nice trails for hiking in this national park. Fantastic views of the huge sequoia trees covering the park, huge park spread over million acres of land with views of streams, waterfalls and many more. Nice Campgrounds arrangements. Trails developed for hiking are very much inspiring. Overall a great place.

Incredible, it's hard to imagine trees of this size without seeing them. You have to be many to go around it. I hope they will be preserved and can be shown for a long time to come. What is certain is that we should not hesitate to take a magnificent walk among these giants, it has the merit of showing us that we are ultimately small.

If this place isn't on your bucket list yet then shift some other items down to make space. A truly amazing place - nature in its absolute finest! The park rangers were all extremely knowledgeable and helpful - especially Ranger Tim who made my son's day with the Rangers pledge ceremony!
