Its government institute for research and development. .

An ICMR research institute. Replete with laboratories, and administrative spaces. Has a meeting hall on the ground floor. Always clean and neat. Elevator available. Space for parking is very limited.

An Excellent Place for Research in Reproductive Health. Facilities are exceptional with periodic Quality Evaluations. I worked for 2 months (2014) in Gamete Immunobiology Lab as Summer Research Trainee and it felt it was a peaceful place to do basic research. Surrounded by Hospitals, KEM Hospital in Particular is just what the Doctors Ordered. Library is small but stacked with loads of Books. Includes a Small Canteen which serves the purpose only during emergency times.

Govt should initiate more of such research lab in Mumbai and also make awareness of such institute

Best institute to learn. People are highly co-operative. You never feel that there is any red tape issue, like in other govt institutes. Best to learn Research especially Reproductive and genetic research. Dr. Shantanu R Joshi.
